I was honestly shocked by the low reviews lol. But I come to this location every time I come to visit from VA. I come about 3-4 times while I'm in town lol but I always get the tropichop and my bf gets the 1/2 chicken with rice and macaroni. I get mashed potatoes and gravy with corn and the crispy chicken. The crispy chicken is soooo good! And we love getting the spicy poyo sauce. I only gave it 4/5 because the wait is pretty long every time we come here.. other than that, it's good. read more

Seems to me that someone didn't want to package more cilantro garlic. You can tell the people working there don't want to be there. The attitude they give , the closing of the drive through window as we are asking for stuff. The past 3 times I've ordered from this location, my order has been WRONG. Why am I going to pay extra for certain items to then get the regular tropichops? I ordered an Avocado Cilantro tropichop & got yellow rice black beans and chicken... My kids meals were supposed to be mashed potato's w chicken, they ended up with WHITE RICE, black beans.... This location needs to get it together. We paid an extra $11 for everything we wanted added or made differently to just get it how they wanted to put it together. We saw a very appetizing ad on TV so we thought we'd give it a 2nd try. We walked in to an overflowing trash can and dirty floor at the front door. As we placed our order, the crew wasn't sure what exactly they were doing and were being publicly fussed at by a loud and fussy manager figure. The women's restroom had not had attention for hours, as the tile floor was wet and slippery, and the toilet I flushed. There were hand towels and toilet tissue all over the floor. We had a hard time finding a clean table. The food was ok- I could've made it at home but didn't have to do that was good. I think we'll pass next time. read more

Just placed a 175$ order to be ready at 7:30 pm. I initially placed the online order at 1:30 pm. Show up at 7:40 pm, staff doesn't know where the order is. Finally someone says "oh someone picked it up already", so apparently no one checked to see the name of the person picking up the order. We were then told we have to wait 30-45 min wait. I ordered takeout from here a couple weeks ago. I went through the drivethru! I ordered a crispy chicken bowl for myself and a grilled chicken sandwich for my friend. My bowl was good! Yummy really! Halfway home, I realized that our drinks were not given to us. It was really disappointing but I was too tired to drive back and get them. The fried yuca is so so so good! The fried plantains should be sliced thinner in my opinion. At least slice the size they already are into twos! Much better for the size of our mouths and overall enjoyment of the food. Very disappointed with the service at this location in Brandon. I gave 1 star just because the food was really good but the service was awful. First, the order online was late for 40 mins and then I waited inside the location looking at all employees laughing and talking on top of the food without mask. This is a constant problem with the boneless meal. One chicken breast is tender and tasty, the other is over cooked and inedible. That should have gone in the trash! Everyone likes the charred flavor of grilled meat, but there is such a thing as too much. Exhibit A in the picture. If you cannot serve 2 edible chicken breasts in a boneless meal, reduce the price and serve only one. read more

good chicken even though, as everyone else has mentioned in every review for this place, the inside is pretty fuckin filthy. I stick with the Tropi-chop, which is a big bowl filled with stuff. On the little counter you can load it up with sauces and jalapenos and a few other toppings. I'm told the other stuff here is pretty good. The kids meals are a good value too, if you've got a little one. Get the yucca - boiled or fried, they do good yucca here. Mango iced tea is good too. I've never been disappointed with the food. But yeah, wipe down the tables every few days y'all. read more

My on-line order was not even started when I got there 5 minutes after it was supposed to be ready. I ordered an all dark meat platter...which now oddly includes breast meat? I also ordered a pulled pork bowl with "all of the fixin's"...which oddly does not include the optional black beans. The side sauces that they offer were on the order but nowhere to be found in our bag. But hey...at least the chicken was cooked. When to comes to fast food you can't beat Pollo Tropical. This place exceeds all expectations when in comparison to other fast food. The only downfall here is that finding a clean table was a chore. They have one guy constantly bringing out meals as quick as he can and where there's other guests here there's no time to clean tables. Make that happen and this place would be clean and have good fast food. Still, if you are in the market for a quick meal, without having to spend much money and still find healthy options, you came to the right place. Extremely disappointed in the drive thru service at this location. I ordered a Tropical Trio with white rice and beans and boiled yuca. I also ordered the Mojo Pork platter with yellow rice and beans. After paying at the window, we waited a few minutes for our order but it wasn't ready so we were asked to pull up and wait by the stop sign. I didn't have an issue with this at all since I figured I would be getting a fresh order. When our food was brought out to us the person reiterated the order, I said thank you and drove off. That was my mistake in not checking the bag. When I got home the ordered was missing items which is super upsetting when you are starving. The Trio was missing the boiled yuca and the mojo pork. The mojo pork platter was filled with onions and oil and only had fatty pieces of the pork. This was completely inedible. Considering how long it took to get our meal I expected the correct items to be in the bag. I live 25 minutes away if not I would have gone back. This is the first time visiting this location and it will probably be our last. read more

It's too bad they can't get management in to overhaul this restaurant. The food is decent for fast food. Everything else needs work. The restaurant needs employees that provide good customer service, as well as quality control checks. I'm sure the restaurant suffers in lost revenue due to human error with orders. I don't know if all Pollo Tropical locations are this way, but this one is in desperate need of policies, procedures, and employee training to ensure consistent and timely orders. read more

Only because I can't leave them negative stars. I was there a couple of weeks ago and ordered through the all for a curbside. Waited in my car for 15 minutes. Nothing so I went in. The guy at the front said they are working on it. I waited. 45 minutes later I ask what's going on. He asked the boss boss said it's sitting right in the front. It had been sitting there since I got there! He STILL waits another 20 minutes to try and give it to me. I said no it's cold by now. I need that re fired or my money back. The boss has a nasty attitude says he wouldn't do that and they don't give refunds on mobile orders than proceeds to ignore me till I stormed out. I then called support and told them and I was told I'd get a refund. 2 weeks later and NOTHING. Never go here. Management is a joke and good luck getting service read more

Where has the quality gone! When they first opened the food was great but now it's down right awful. I'm talking dry chicken breast that's bitter from too much of a char. The corn soufflé used to be my favorite thing on the menu. It was sweet, fluffy, moist and delicious. Now they're dishing out this dry, crumble or something I have no idea what it is! They've changed their portions too, a typical to go container has one large area with two smaller ones.
