I am paying way too much for these orders thru DoorDash & Uber-Eats for this restaurant. My last 2 meal orders was at a value of approximately $12-$13. So with deliveries it's costing me approximately an extra $14-$15 on top. This branch has some of the most illiterate aduts and young adults who tends to screw up a lot of time on my order. They can never get the order correct. There's always something missing. Who the heck is in charge of these chains? I can't blame them all of the problem. Awful! Don't waste your money. Go somewhere else!! The chicken quesadilla wrap was COLD inside. The plantains were so over fried they were BLACK. I don't just mean on the edges. They were inedible! I rarely write review but I am writing this today just to commend the manager Ivan for being the only person on shift or in management for providing customer service in this place. first I had to ask for my receipt...the receipt when I did look at it had half the ink coming off of it and was illegible for the items...I just drove off. I've tried this spot 3 orther times than today and each time via drive through the order was wrong when I got home...today was the last straw as I ordered a kids meal for my nephew and yet again they put the chop and left out the cookie and drinks and the soup I ordered to go was middling mush with not much chicken or whole vegetables to be found. I let the last screwups go because when you calle their so called number to talk to the store you get an automated messge telling you press 1 for english then after 5 minutes you get put on hold then told to leave a message. waste of time...after drivign back 12 milest; 35 minute later he same people who did the order looked at me lost and tried to just give me a juice and cookie with no apology very unconcerned until an older employee asked if I wanted to see the manager..I said yes and Ivan came out....his demeanor was totally different...he immediately apologized and said sorry for me having to drive so far back...he offered solutions and I accepted though a refund was not in the cards...I would give the entire experience 1 star but due to Ivan I'll bump them to a 3 for the solution mind set. This location and other locations are clearly suffering from a lack of brand care by Pollo tropical corporate an ownership...the service coninues to plummet across many of their locations. Slowest possible service for a restaurant. Waited in line for 15 minutes with only two cars infront of me.

C'mon, you don't actually care or you would do something about all these terrible reviews. I sat in line the drive-thru line for nearly 40 minutes last night, the last 10+ at the window waiting for the food. When I placed the order I asked for curry sauce but at the window they told me they were out. I told him that's impossible that they are out and they said well it needs to be made. Typically have a decent experience at pollo versus the other ones in the area, but tonight was by far the worst experience yet. Ordered a whole chicken and two boneless meals and a LARGE side of fried yuca. It was raining hard and there weren't many people in the drive through, as the person in front of me proceeds to leave the restaurant, I stay pulling forward and the lady working the register tells me not to, I comply and once she tells me to pull forward, I proceed and hand her my card. She hurriedly hands me two large bags and my card, the bags untied and packed to the brim, the order of yuca on top falls all over my car all the while the card (and receipt) falls to wet ground below. I ask her politely for another order of yuca and the only look her face could procure, confusion!! As if it was my fault she can't handle the three cars in the drive through fast enough. She also hands me a new yuca, after I asked again, but this time a small instead of the large I paid for. Drive home, open the bags and to my surprise one of my meals isn't even in there. Totally missing. $42 on lousy fast food for no reason. To top it all off, they never have cilantro garlic sauce, literally the sauce everyone goes there for. read more

First time at this location My husband stopped by and got me a large chicken soup ( I always order a small one from a different Pollo Tropical and this time I was really hungry) When I tried a spoonful of that soup I had to spit it out (Sorry for graphic description) It tasted as if they watered it down big time! Cooper City pollo tropical finally opened and replaced Wendy's Restaurant. I'm so happy because of a healthy fast food restaurant in Cooper City. For a family of four dinner or lunch usually is around $32, which is kinda pricey and often my wife says "wow how much?". Inside they have typical sauce bar and complimentary salsa. Curry mustard and garlic cilantro are my favorites. I find that in the drive though when you ask for curry sauce or any sauce the small cups are half filled, order more than you think if doing drive through. I have eaten here three times already. It's good but not great. I find locations in Miami taste better and are more authentic. I often get the chicken tropi chop with half brown rice and half romaine lettuce. This location tends to over cook the chicken (dry) and often has burnt charred ends on it and the lettuce portions seem very small in the chop. Other toppings: onions and tomatoes are fine. My son (true meat eater) always gets the churasco steak, one time he loved it next time over it was over cooked and fatty. Hit or miss. It's a new location and I think they are still working out some kinks with a new location and staff, hopefully in next three months it will get streamlined. I will be back seeing that it is 5 minutes from my home but hope the quality and consistency improves. read more

30 seconds after placing an order placed with the app I called this location (as instructed in the app) because there was an error with my order. I called at 8:02pm and kept getting an automated message saying that no one was available. Finally at 8:22pm when someone (a male) answered the phone he said "Hello?" and I had to look at my phone to check what number I called because he answered the phone in such a way that had me thinking I had called a friend by accident. I asked to speak to a manager, and as I waited I could hear people (what sounded like employees) laughing and talking in the background. 3 minutes later, the manager picks up the phone and I explain the situation (that there was an error with my order, I've been trying to get in contact with the store for 20mins and I would like it fixed before it is delivered) and she said "Well what am I supposed to about it? I didn't make the error." I replied if I was in store and there was an error with my order it would be rectified right away. She again stated that it wasn't her problem and that I made the error, so it was my problem and there was nothing she could or would do because she's working hard and has other things to do. I asked for her name to which she replied "Lily" and when I asked for her first AND last name, she told me to "please hold". I was placed on "hold" for several minutes, as I can hear (again) laughing and talking in the background. When the manager returned from keeping me on hold, she said hello and then proceeded to hang up before I could even respond. Never have I encountered a "manager" so incredibly unwilling to listen or even attempt to help. This was probably the lowest level of customer service I've received, they should be ashamed. While I haven't had any problems with the food (other than them running out after I've placed an order), I won't be spending my money at this location ever again. read more

But had I dined inside the restaurant, I would no doubt have voiced how disappointing their guava bbq pork sandwich was. $4.49 for a few morsels of pork and sad looking cole slaw. I gave the place a while ago a 5 stars because is my local pollo tropical and service was decent and food was good., however lately it has declined way too much. I went to eat this past sunday december 3rd,2017 around 8pm and i had the most rude attitude that employees could have. I was the only one in line and there was one lady in the register but she did not dare to raise her head and make eye contact to at least say hi. After waiting a ridiculous amount of time i call someone and she told me i am going to break i can help you. I eat at Pollo Tropicals pretty often. Usually at the Sunrise location but tonight I visited the one in Cooper City. I did the drive-thru and thought they were closed because the menu light was off. I heard a voice say "what would you like to order"? I asked if they were still open because the menu light was off. She had no idea why and it never came on. When I ordered the food I asked for a Tropichop with very little rice and an order of fried yuca. The food was cold, my Tropi-chop was mostly rice and they missed two vegetables that I asked for. The Yuka was so overcooked or sat under the heat lamp so long, that I nearly broke a tooth trying to bite into one!! The cups of salsa we're practically empty not even half full! And they stated that they ran out of the curry sauce altogether. I tried to call and speak with a manager but there was no answer. My first time at this location and I'm definitely not impressed! I've come through this drive they on 3 separate occasions and each time the employees ignore you when you try to make an order. I was the only person in the drive thru so it's not like they are busy making orders for others. I pulled up, said hello after a minute of silence and no response from them. I'm done with this place! Customer service is horrible! I was told to wait by the front door for my drive thru order. I repeated my order twice. I was not given a receipt. My order was missing the large fried yucca and the sauces I asked for so I had to go inside and wait for them. The associates were not helpful at all and would not give you the time or day to assist you with anything. It seems they rush you to order, but then take forever to get your food. It took this "fast" food restaurant 20 minutes to make a tropi-chop bowl... the scoop this then scoop that kind of bowl... 20 minutes.... thank god CVS takes an hour to fill a prescription and I had nothing better to do.
