AVOID THIS PLACE. Where to start? Well first off - the dining room is a total mess. Drink station was a sticky mess. Silverware area also a mess and no napkins or forks. The sauce area was a wreck I wouldn't touch anything there. Tables and floor dirty. The blonde "manager" couldn't have cared less and was completely rude. She gave me my food on a tray that has someone else's old food still stuck to it. Gross. This has to be the worst Pollo Tropical in history!! Food is terrible and workers are extremely slow and rude! Someone needs to teach these people some manners and at least have basic customer service. I have given this location chance after chance thinking next time will be better than the last, but I was wrong! Each experience only got worse! This time it took 30 mins in the drive thru, order two tropichops and a guava lemonade only to get to the window and have the young girl charge me for the drink and then proceed to tell me they didn't have any and if I would like something else. Her face was priceless after I said no thank you. Afterwords, she tried to be slick not saying a word about the refund, gave me my card and receipt like nothing happened. I placed a catering order on 5/29/22 for the following day for 18 of my employees. We ordered a pollo my way with bone-in chicken for 15 and a tropichop combo with mojo pork for 10. It was delivered to our work through doordash, but the order was missing several things. The mojo pork along with the cilantro-garlic, spicy poyo poyo sauces, and the ceasar dressing for the ceasar salad was not in the order even though I was charged for it. I attempted to reach the restaurant through it's phone number over several hours, but no one picked up. I reached out to corporate and opened a case for what happened. Ordered ahead. When I got there no one was at the counter. After 10 minutes waiting there I pulled out my camera and started recording. I recorded a good 13 minutes of them with their backs turned to their customers. Then when I asked them where was the lady who was doing my order, they threatened to call the police on me. This could be a Cuban version of Pollo Hermonos. We had the chicken and pork family dinner which includes a whole chicken and order of shredded pork, rice, beans and 4 rolls. A good value at $23. The chicken was a little dry and perhaps not quite as tasty as I imagined citrus marinated pollo could be, but the pork was juicy and delicious. If I could give a -0 star I would. This place is horrible. The food is done sloppy and portions are served inconsisten and on the too small side. I paid for a side of avocado and I was given a spoon size serving. I ordered Pork Plantains they were soggy and with no toppings like the onions is supposed to have.
