The worst Pollo Tropical location ever. Please don't waste your precious time trying this place. Starting from horrible wait time of 20 minutes to have my order taken after I remind them that I have been in line and can anyone help me, no customer service urgency, everyone frowning while working, when asked if I could have 1 hot sauce, the lady with name tag Graciela said I am going to the bathroom ask somebody else to help you. I told myself if the food is good, that's all it matters. Boy was I wrong. From chicken bowl looking like veggie bowl to burnt pieces of chicken when there were only few pieces to begin with. I hate wasting and throwing food away, but at this point I realized that I am putting garbage in my body so I stopped eating after few spoonfuls and putting the rest where the garbage belongs- trash can. It's only 120 in the afternoon and never knew I could be so upset without exchanging words with another person. Absolutely horrible experience. Time wasted. Money wasted. Still hungry after 30mins. I asked for specifically 5 Cilantro Garlic sauces & 1 Poyo-Poyo sauce on my online order and lo and behold I got 5 Curry Mustard sauces and 1 Poyo Poyo sauce... While ordering online, they asked for my phone number: if you don't have Cilantro Garlic available, at least contact me for a substitute! I would have settled with Salsa or more Poyo-Poyo sauce. Here Sunday afternoon 1:30pm. Drive through busy so I came inside. Only 2 in front of me. Line moved quickly. Place looks very clean. 3 patrons inside eating. Ordered new item I never seen. Grilled chicken Avocado tropichop with cilantro. Got in less than a minute. Cashier very attentive and friendly. It has guacamole, actual pieces of avocado, fusion is perfect with the cilantro sauce on top. This is definitely a winner. I also ordered the natural lemonade. It was good. Taste legit. I wish I could give negative stars. This is the absolute worst location. I came at 3pm, not during a rush. I ordered a steak tropichop. I paid and they gave me a bag. I drove homen10 minutes. Opened the bag, it's a cheap fried sandwich and a side salad. NOT a steak tropichop. Tried to call the number listed online for them, it's a bs automated number that talks about employee w-2s. Once you get past about 10 minutes of prompts, then you get something that tells you that even if you want to refund you have to download an app. I downloaded the app and there's nowhere on there that You can request a refund. I had to drive 10 minutes back to the store because there was nothing I could do. You can't get a human on the phone and the phone number doesn't actually link to the location. I came to the location and stood at the counter for probably 5 minutes before I could ever get anyone to even look at me. I asked for the manager and she came over. She asked if I wanted them to remake the food or get a refund. I told her I would rather have the refund because I was pretty upset at this point because I had to drive another 10 minutes away to go back to the store and 10 minutes to go back to my house again through no fault of my own, just because they were not capable of filling the order correctly to begin with. I missed an extra half hour of work due to all of this, and I'm really just frustrated. The employee should have checked the order before they just handed a bag blindly. And the correct number for the store should be listed online, not some automated thing that does absolutely nothing for the customer. I would have just requested a refund via the app or the phone if I could have and went somewhere else to get food since the order was not right at all it wasn't something I would have ordered. They also have boiled yuca and fried yucca so yummy. Another favorite is the tostones . I saw that they are now serving the famous Cuban sandwich. The Cuban sandwich is my mothers favorite it has ham, pork, cheese, mustard, pickles, salt and pepper and is grilled. Some of their family meals are at a really good price. There's only one good employee here. Golden has great customer service, & is super nice. The rest of the staff need to be replaced ASAP. The drive through line at this location is always long so be ready to wait up to 15mins to receive your food. The white rice , I ordered was not cooked properly and the chicken was dry. I have ordered twice for pickup during the shutdown. I took advantage of the Pollo Pantry and both times I ordered a whole chicken and this time I added the chicken breast, uncooked but marinated. Each time I ordered two 1/2 chicken platters also. I am happy to say that each order was filled perfectly and the food was awesome and the staff was exceptional. The split chicken I seasoned again and first put it under the broiler at the top rack skin side up, 8 minutes.
