Very disappointed with Pollo Tropical on Indiantown Rd. in Jupiter FL. I went there on 9/20/18 to order a 1/4 chicken with 2 sides and plantains. The person taking my order was very rude! And they were out of the main item they sell... Chicken! How can that be? I mean its f***ing Pollo Tropical??? The name Pollo (In case anyone was wondering) means chicken! We got here at 9:50, I know it was late but there was 3 people in front of us. They all got their orders, and when I got to the line the lady said "give me one moment I'll be right with you". We waited for about 15 minutes and around 10:05 she simply says "we're closed". I normally don't write reviews and I'm typically understanding of fast food service, but I definitely felt as if she could have just said they were closed from the beginning instead of making me wait 15 minutes and wasting my gas. I thought she was really rude after I said "did you really make me wait?" and she responded "yes have a goodnight". AGAIN, I typically don't right reviews but this was unacceptable. The food is decent but my 2 stars is for the service. Every time I have ordered from them, they've forgot something with the order. Often the online ordering doesn't work and when I get there and they don't have the order, they refuse to make it without paying for it again when I have photo proof of my paid order. Not to mention some of the employees are not afraid to show their annoyance with customers. Regardless, I still order from them because they're down the street from my work and I crave those plantains from time to time. read more

Dirty tables, sauce bar half empty, got the orders (yes mine, and the 3 people before me) wrong and had piss-poor attitudes and miss expediter piggy tails middle-aged grumpy face was very unpleasant to customers. Being from west palm, I really didn't know there was a such thing as a 5 star Pollo. Omg! Jupiter is winning! I have never had it so FRESH! the lettuce had flavor, the lobby was immaculate, the team members were NICE and FRIENDLY! WTF am I really at a Pollo right now?! Lol. Definitely a higher standard over here. For the first time I actually tasted the rum flavor in the pineapple rum sauce... Completely different delicious taste that I had never experienced in all my pollo visits. The sauce bar was clean and well stocked... A must stop any time I am in Florida. I love the freshness of the food as well as the options. Different from typical 'fast food' places with greasy fried foods... the food here is grilled and delishious. Mind you this is my first time at this location so 5 stars can turn into 1 depending on future visits. On arriving I found it easy to park. The inside was clean the sauce bar was clean but the reason for 5 stars was the size of my 1/2 chicken dinner with 2 sides. If these are the normal portions I died and went to heaven. What can I say; it wasn't that great. There are so many chicken places around here, and I rather go to a few others. i'll admit, I did the drive thru, so I don't know what it's like to sit down, but the food was just ok, and nothing to cheer about. Used to LOVE Pollo Tropical back in the early days. Now not so much. You never know what kind of quality you're going to get from visit to visit. My go to is usually a Chicken Tropichop which should be made with white breast meat. Lately all I get is nasty grisly dark meat! I then end up eating only rice and beans And don't even think about ordering it by saying "I'd like all white meat please", because the old, rude, miserable drive thru lady named Rommel will basically bite your face off! She will respond that "that's all we make it with", UH, NO, NO YOU DON'T LADY. I don't know how this woman still has a job. There are at least 3 other reviews on here that mention her. She is so RUDE, never let's you finish your sentence and always interrupts with "anything else"? Um, yeah STFU and I'll let you know ! The inside I won't even go into. It's always dirty and gross. I really think management needs to take a look at EVERYTHING and revamp. read more

Food good - staff & cleanliness not so good. Arrived 1pm for lunch to find about half of the dinner room full. But EVERY table and the condiment bar dirty. I asked a woman behind the counter if she had something to clean the tables with - she disappeared for a minute than looked lost as she searched around the room. Then she walked over to a broom closet and pulled out some items. She came over, cleaned one table ignoring several adjoining tables and returned those items. Terrible customer service, many things happened during my visit, first the wait took a long time next was one of the first big problems, there is a platter called the 1/2 meal and is $5.99 so I though, when o went to order it, they said it has to be after 4, so I though oh, I miss read it and I said, ok sorry so I ordered the 1/4 meal. This was a mistake, when I got it I looked at the chicken and oh boy, they show 2 pieces of chicken but I only got 1 piece of chicken, and not just that but it was it was dried out and looked like chicken jerky, and most of it was just bone, while I was pretty missed off about that, I looked at the multiple signs on the wall and outside about the $5.99 1/2 it does not say after 4pm anywhere no where on the signs no where, I went to confront the cashier and was greeted by a rude and disrespectful manager and employees, so said that was how the chicken is supposed to be and said they would cut the 1 piece of chicken... they did not even give new pieces of chicken, they just chopped the 1 piece into 2, then talked about the 1/2 meal and they just said that is only after 4, but I once again said that no where does it say after 4 I showed him the sign, but he still went on to say it was only after 4 even though no where does it say that. One of the best places around to get a CHEAP FAST lunch or simple dinner. I always drive thru there because the drive thru is lightning fast. You can't beat this place for the price and convenience. They have great sauces too. Try the hot one. The latin flavors there are done pretty well for a fast food joint. The food is ok at best, sometimes the chicken has a weird texture but the drive thru takes forever. All I ever here is "give me a minute, give me a minute". Many times I will get halfway thru my order and I here "give me a minute", then silence for a long period then they ask for my order again from the beginning. Went in for lunch around 1 pm with my girlfriend. The dining room was busy with familys an blue collar workers looking for a quick filling bite. It cleared out quickly shortly after we walked in the dining room was messy but cleaned up quickly by the staff. We stepped into line and ordered our food in a timely manner the staff seemed swift and accommodating. We got our food in a short time got out sauces ready and started to enjoy. A few bites in to the tropi-chop my girlfriend bites into a chunk of glass! Wow! We went back to the counter and explained to the cashier there was glass in our food I asked to talk to the manager who I saw moments ago as we were ordering our food. She apologized and told me he was in a meeting. I explained to her this was a very serious situation and I needed to speak to him. He approached us and I explained what happened and showed him the shard of glass that my girlfriend pulled out of her mouth and almost chipped a tooth on. He said it was plastic and refuted the fact that was glass. Really? I Ended up receiving a refund after the cashier demanded a receipt. There was only two orders after ours is that necessary? However, the customer service was poor at best and finding glass in you food is a reason to never go into an establishment ever again!! The manager needs a lesson on how to take care of people.
