I drove up to the Drive Thru Speaker and I requested my Shrimp Tropichop and the guy had said they had ran out so I asked for a chicken instead and then a ouple of seconds after he asked if I still wanted the Shrimp and of course I said "YES Please". I go in tonight, all of the sudden they no longer have them. They tell me they have the grilled or crispy avocado chicken salad. I give it a try. When I get home it simply is grilled chicken, lettuce, and some slices of avocado drowned in whatever dressing sauce they used. Ahh where the heck are the ingredients? No tomatoes, no onion, no cheese , nothing. Like WTH? You should have called it lettuce and grilled chicken bowl with a side order of old expired avocado. At the very least a grilled Cesar chicken salad contains lettuce, chicken, croutons, and Parmesan cheese. And let's go back to the avocado, they were old, black spots on the avocado. I use to go to this pollo tropical almost once a week for the last two years. The last few months the service and food quality has been horrible! I ordered a chicken Cesar wrap last time I was there and they gave me a shrimp quesadilla wrap instead, and the shrimp was disgusting and tasted old. This time I ordered the half chicken meal with two sides (Black beans and Cesar salad) only to find they did not give me my Cesar salad. On top of that, my chicken was incredibly dry and the meat was tough like it had been sitting out for a long while. The service is horrible, people act like they are doing you a favor by serving you. Def skip over this place. Whats worse is when pollo campero was right next door they made sure you received the best service and the best quality of food. I guess they feel safer now since they closed down. Don't eat here. Other friends of mine have complained too. read more

I was sick and craving the Caribbean Chicken Soup. It was the only thing that I left the house for all day. If I could give 0 stars I would. I just moved here to Miami and this was the worst experience I've ever had at a Pollo Tropical. I made an online order and went to the store and nothing was in the pick up area. I saw that they were busy and for someone that has been in the f&b industry, I decided to be patient. However, I did go to the front to ask if anyone had my order. No one answered me, no one allowed me to get their attention. One lady says "I don't know" and shooed me away. Then said something to another very old lady in Spanish. The older lady then came over to me and handed me a bunch of receipts and asked me to go thru them and find my name. Still with the bad customer service so far, I had no problem looking thru the receipts. My name wasn't there. I then asked a man in a red shirt if he was the manager. He looked annoyed and said yes. I explained to him what was going on and he impatiently says to me "what do you want me to do? I'm busy". At that point I was furious. I've been to a McDonald's and received better customer service than that. I didn't deserve attitude like that from a MANAGER. I am also a manager & I know that customer service is priority. You never treat a guest like that. He then after a few minutes placed my meal in front of me and said nothing. I do not recommend going to this place. I will not be giving them my money. I eat here on average about 5 times a week. I only order 1/4 chicken white meat and white rice without beans. I eat my meals at off hours so my wait is never over a couple minutes. If you come to this location during peak hours then you will have to wait, I would personally allocate a extra 10-15 minutes over your best estimate. In my opinion the chicken at this Pollo Tropical location is well seasoned, grilled carefully and always served hot. I am on the road in south Florida almost everyday so I have had the opportunity to try many other locations from Dania Beach all the way south to this location but shoot nothing comes even close except for maybe the Sunny Isles Pollo Tropical on A1A. Of course there have been times were I got a super small piece of chicken or the piece seemed over cooked BUT all you need to do is speak up and you will be taken care of.
