They either don't send you one of the sides, the drinks, or the desserts, always something is not in the bag but it gets charged, of course. You order a tropichop with corn, you will be lucky if you find 4 corn kernels in your tropichop bowl. Barely any meat in the tropichops. And is the same when you order using their drive thru. I have to physically inspect every darn bag to make sure things are there. Unless you're starving and can't drive to another Pollo Tropical, don't go here to this subpar establishment. Im typically not one to make reviews on places that truly are staples for me.... But this time, I felt I needed to. I placed an online order for pick up at the store. My order stated it would be ready by 1:44pm. I arrive promptly to wait for my order. I am told they hadn't gotten to it yet and will do so once they take in store orders. I had no issue with that at all. I receive my order and upon opening the bag, I notice that my tropichop bowl has no chicken..... to my surprise, I look at my receipt to make sure I ordered my bowl with grilled chicken and I did. What POLLO tropical forgets to put chicken on a bowl? I've never gotten this kind of service before. While I was watching them make my order, I noticed how careless the employees were and how they didn't take the time to make sure my order was correct. 2 ladies were yelling at each other my order. It seemed unprofessional and a bit ridiculous. It's not the first time I've had an error with my online orders. Another time, I had food items missing and never had them corrected because it was too late after waiting almost 45 minutes for my food. So I decided to have some pollo after a workout at the LA fitness right by this franchise, I get there and am not attended for a good 10 minutes and was told three times that I'd be helped out in just a sec. when I finally put my order in I waited another 10 minutes. As I waited, other customers arriving were going through the same situation that at one point we were all making jokes about the horrid customer service being shown. I was missing my fries and the only gentleman working Gerardo had to go up to her and tell her to get off the phone and give me my fries. Ridiculous. If I could give no stars to this place, I would. I am absolutely not the person that writes reviews, but I've had enough with this pollo location. Last night I made the horrible mistake of requesting a delivery from the pollo app. Granted, I didn't know their hours of operation and that's on me, but if I was able to place an order I assumed they were up and running. I ordered a tropichop, and cheesy yuca bites. My delivery was directed to doordash. Upon arrival I noticed that my tropichop was missing three ingredients and my yuca bites were nowhere in sight. I called the doordash driver and he told me he "didn't even check" LOL! Look, I get it that they were closing but if they don't feel like making something I know they have the option of saying that through doordash so that I don't get charged. Yet another place where I would give 3.5 stars. There is not much to say about fast food establishments that has not already been said. This place is open til Midnight (on the inside too not just the drive-thru). The service was fast and friendly. The food was fresh, yes, at 11:20pm they were still grilling chicken! I have zero complaints about this location except for the tacky cruise ship version of "La Bamba" that was playing when my hubs and I arrived. By the way, the cheese empanadas are in a more savory corn flour dough like the kind they use in Colombian Empanadas (kind of what they looks like). Pretty good! read more
