    Crispy Chicken Tropichop Bowl
    Matthew O.

Overall, I had a pretty good experience at Pollo Tropical. I haven't gone to one since my undergrad days, so I figured I would re-live my college experience. I got the crispy chicken tropichop bowl and it was a solid option. The chicken was nice and crispy and went well with everything in the bowl. I especially like the garlic mojo sauce. It really does go well with everything. The ambiance of the store was decent. About the same as every other Pollo Tropical that you go to. Service was generally pretty good, with friendly people working the counters. It was a tad bit on the slow side though. For fast food, it definitely took longer than I expected, even for a bit so busy afternoon. So perhaps they need to work on efficiency a bit. But overall, a decent place to pick up food for lunch :)

If I could leave 0 stars I would! Prices through the roof for a quarter of the amount of food they use to give.

Whenever I come to Tampa for the winter season, I love coming to this location because of their quick drive thru times and amazing customer service! This location is physically hard to get my truck into, but other than that I've never had an issue here. They get my order right every time with no problems! My favorite menu item is the tropichop with pork and all of the toppings, with cilantro garlic sauce on the side and jalepeños with their flavored sweet tea. This meal is large enough for lunch AND dinner for me, all for less than $10. Their workers have the place cleaned very nicely given COVID-19 safety measures, and I am highly impressed!

Ok.. I have eaten at several Pollo Tropicals, and this is as good as any I have been to (better than some!). It was clean, staff was friendly, and the food was as expected. It was cooked properly, nicely prepared, and tasty. Exactly what I would expect here. Beans and Rice are pretty good... the crispy chicken BLT was ok... and for the price, actually not a bad deal! Need to come back and try the marinated grilled chicken here, as I love it.

1st time here and I am pleasantly surprised on how great this place is and now I'm upset with myself that I haven't been eating here for years. I will be returning

They didn't have the vegan picadillo, and gave me a vegetarian bowl with pieces of chicken in it. Also, the service isn't good if you only speak English. The rice was also hard and the chicken looks unappealing and undercooked. Don't go here!!! Also the server touched the inside of the cup in which he then put water in.

This location is terrible. Like they don't care what they serve you. Last time i went there the brown rice was burnt and some of it hard obviously not cooked in some areas and burnt left over scrap in the other side. I go back after several weeks and ask if they have fresh rice this time which they say it is. I get my order and low and behold, the rice is again bottom of the barrel scrap bur t rice which is tooth- breaking worthy. Never will i go to this location.

The color of it was a ghost white and a couple of sips made me so sick it ruined my entire trip. The Server had a poor attitude, the drinks were terrible, and there is not one thing Bahamas about the place. In closing, I feel that if a person is not willing to serve people from all walks of life (race, color, creed, etc.) should go into a profession where he doesn't have to deal with people period!!! We took our leftovers with us to discard because I felt they probably would have reused for the next customer who was not of their likings. WORSE DINING EXPERIENCE IN THIS CENTURY!!!

As the oldest restaurant in Florida and the largest Spanish restaurant in the world, we felt it was a must-visit to experience its rich history and unique atmosphere. We also reserved seats for the Flamenco dance show, which had a $10 cover charge per person. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and enormous, with so many different dining rooms. You could probably get lost trying to find your friends inside, just kidding! We were lucky enough to get a table near the stage, so we could enjoy the Flamenco performance while having dinner. For our meal, we started with the Caldo Gallego "Giant Soup" ($10), which was hearty, flavorful, and incredibly comforting. We also ordered Columbia's Original "1905" Salad ($18). Made with crisp iceberg lettuce, julienned baked ham, natural Swiss cheese, tomatoes, olives, grated Romano cheese, Lea & Perrins® Worcestershire sauce, and their famous garlic dressing, it was fresh, light, and absolutely delicious. Our main dish was the Mojito Chicken ($25). The chicken was very flavorful, especially with its delicious citrus-garlic sauce. Although the chicken itself was just a little on the dry side in my opinion, the flavorful sauce made up for it, and the dish was still very enjoyable. We also had the Paella "a la Valenciana" ($40), which was loaded with clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, calamari, chicken, and pork, along with green peppers, Spanish onions, ripe tomatoes, garlic, and a splash of white wine. It was a generous portion packed with fresh seafood and rich Spanish flavors. The New York Strip Sirloin "The Bambino" ($53) was another excellent choice. The 14 oz. USDA Choice wet-aged boneless strip steak was tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly. To finish our meal, we ordered the Flan ($8). It was smooth, creamy, and absolutely delicious, a perfect ending to a wonderful dinner. The Flamenco dance show was fantastic! The dancers were energetic and passionate, making the entire dining experience even more lively and memorable. Combined with the excellent service, it made for a truly enjoyable evening. Overall, Columbia Restaurant is much more than just a place to eat, it's a historic landmark and an unforgettable dining experience. Between the beautiful Spanish architecture, rich history, delicious food, outstanding service, and exciting Flamenco performance, it's definitely worth visiting when you're in Ybor City.
