    Chicken sandwich and kale crunch
    Carolyn S.

There's a Chick-Fil-A nearby where I live, so I went ahead and went there for dinner for something a little familiar, yet different. Chick-Fil-A has quite a reputation for being really good, but I'm not much of a chicken person (or I don't get out of my way for chicken), so I thought I'd find this out for myself. I was in to the Chick-Fil-A near where I live, so it's not out of the way, and it's newer. I was impressed walking in and being greeted by the scent of fresh food wafting in the air. It reminded me of the excitement I would feel going to McDonald's as a kid (not that I go to McDonald's anymore, nor do I plan on it.). The place was clean, so immediately, I felt confident in ordering here. The cashier was friendly and smiling upon greeting, and answered my questions as if I weren't an idiot (which I appreciate, because most people in the planet have been to a Chick-Fil-A at one point or another, except for me somehow other than that one time twenty years ago when I was unimpressed with the Cool Wrap) and was able to be helpful about making my sauce selection. I picked the Chicken Sandwich, since it's their signature, so it's a safe bet that it's going to be good. I also went with their signature sauce to go with the sandwich (note: sandwich DOES NOT come with sauce). I paired this with the kale crunch salad as a side to make it a little healthier, and then waited for my food. The wait wasn't long at all. The worker who brought my food to me was very nice. My thoughts: The sandwich was delicious. The chicken is indeed fresh and whole chicken breast, well-breaded and seasoned in addition to being juicy. The pickles added a nice crunch and sweetness. I don't know how to describe their signature sauce, but it had a sweet, tangy taste that I thought went well with the sandwich. I guess I can compare it to Zax sauce from Zaxby's. (another great chicken place I need to pay another visit to). The kale crunch salad was a great side, and I loved how it had some cabbage in it like cole slaw. The whole meal left me feeling satisfied, and I'll be sure to keep this place in mind when I don't know what to eat.

I went there today to pick up an order I placed through Uber Eats. Usually, when you pick up an Uber Eats order yourself, they don't require a verification code. However, when I went to the front and gave my name to the cashier, she asked if I had proof of the order. I told her no, as I had ordered on my computer and didn't have a code. She insisted she needed verification. My phone wasn't working at the moment, which I don't blame her for, but the way she handled the situation was incredibly frustrating. I waited 20 minutes before I actually got my food. The cashier stood there talking on her phone, claiming she needed to ask her manager, but she never actually did. I didn't hear her explain the situation or ask anyone for help. Instead, she just stayed on her phone and eventually slid the food over to me. There was no apology for the wait, no "here you go," and no "have a nice day." She just slid it over with a smile while still chatting on her phone. It felt like she was purposely inconveniencing me. As soon as I mentioned that I had my ID to prove who I was, it was suddenly no issue, and she handed it over without ever checking with a manager. Very disappointing experience. While the food itself still tastes good, it is simply no longer worth the money or the poor treatment. I never expected over the top, bubbly customer service, the staff that used to work here would just get the job done without the fake enthusiasm, and that was perfectly fine. But there is a massive difference between a worker just trying to get through their shift and one who actively goes out of their way to keep you waiting while talking on the phone. Between the disrespectful service and the shrinking portions, this place just isn't what it used to be.

I'm genuinely surprised to see such ratings for Indi's Chicken. I went in expecting a simple,…read moreno-frills spot serving good old-fashioned fried chicken and classic sides. That sounded great to me. Unfortunately, the food, portions, and pricing were all disappointing. A three-piece chicken meal with two sides runs around $13-$14, and the pieces are small. Two of my three pieces were very small drumsticks. The meal doesn't include a drink, and if you just want water, you have to buy a bottle. The sides also come in very small portions. I ordered the 3 piece spicy chicken with baked beans and potato wedges. The seasoning on the chicken had a decent flavor, but it wasn't spicy at all. The bigger issue was that the chicken was extremely dry. The larger piece of fried chicken was especially bad, there was barely any meat in it. Most of it was over-fried, hardened breading surrounding a lot of empty space. I kept biting into thick, crunchy breading and air while trying to find actual chicken. The baked beans were fine but nothing notable. I did like the potato wedges, which were probably the best part of the meal. You get three as a side, but they are at least fairly large. There are also several extra costs that add up. Sauces are sold separately, the meal doesn't include a drink, and there's an additional 3% charge if you don't pay with cash. All in all, I really don't understand the high ratings. You can get better fried chicken at plenty of fast-food restaurants, or even from Walmart or Publix, for less money, with larger portions and more options. Even if you're specifically looking for a no-frills local chicken spot, this doesn't feel like a good value. You pay more, get less, and, based on my visit, the quality isn't there. I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

The restaurant was clean, bright, and had ample seating and parking. I loved everything that I tried. All the food is prepared fresh, so everything came out piping hot. The firecracker chicken bowl was my favorite. I got it medium spice. It was absolutely delicious. It was hot, crispy, spicy, and a touch of sweet. The fried rice was super flavorful, and this is something I typically miss at typical Chinese food restaurants as I cannot eat pork. Of course, no pork in this fried rice. My partner got the sesame chicken, and I presume it was amazing because he wolfed it down so fast, I didn't have to even sneak a bite. The Japanese fried chicken was a 10 out of 10! It was lightly breaded, flavorful, and crispy. This place is a gem. I seriously recommend it and may even go back today. When we were eating, someone came in and ordered a mango matcha. It looked so good that I have to go back to try it.

My husband was inside for 20 mins before I called to ask him what was taking so long, then another 10 mins before I went inside to find out for myself. Once I got inside, I asked for the manager, and the 4 girls standing around didn't respond, then one finally decided to answer and called the manager. It took her about 5 mins to come from wherever she was to address the issue. When she asked the girl in the kitchen, she responded "Telling me that ain't gonna make me move any faster". The disrespect was ridiculous and the amount of not care they all gave further told me they don't care about the customers. Having to wait 30 mins for 10 wings and a chicken sandwich is absolutely absurd, especially when there are 3 others in the kitchen working, and other restaurants would never. So glad I don't need to eat here and because of the nasty attitude these kids are giving, they will never get my money again. Whomever is the owner or manager of this location needs to address the issue and maybe do some training on how to treat your customers.

We tried this place about a year ago, and we had a completely different experience than before. I can honestly say, I won't be back. Not ever. Not even a chance. This place is filthy. The floors, the tables, the bathrooms (the worst I have ever seen), and even the napkin holders. I had immediate regrets upon stepping in based on the lack of cleanliness. The amount of flies swarming was alarming. The service was a zero. The girl working watched us order at the kiosk, the kiosk wouldn't let us pay, we tell her, and she says "oh it doesn't work." So we ordered with her even though she sat around watching us waste our time. I ordered a wing meal, told her I wanted the wings injected, and she said "we don't inject them. I will give you sauce on the side." The menu clearly says they inject wings, social media videos always show it, and also, my last visit there was also injected wings but she would give me no explanation other than "I will give you the sauce on the side." It was bizarre and I couldn't even get a "we don't do that anymore" from her. We ordered a chicken sando. The quality was horrible. Chicken tasted overly processed with bad texture. We also ordered a wing combo. The wings were flavorless. Absolutely flavorless. I ordered medium and there was zero spice. Not even a tad. Apparently they don't inject their wings anymore so there was no flavor in the wings. The quality was pretty bad. Also, the "sauce on the side" that the girl working promised me was not the sauce I ordered, it was the sauce she chose. The whole ordering experience was odd. Definitely seemed like someone who did not care about providing good service, good food, or a sanitary environment. We waited about 25 minutes for our food. About 3 people came in to get pickup orders while we waited and no one else. So we sat and waited while the flys swarmed our heads. The cashier never once tried to come out and clean the filthy tables. She even paused doing nothing for a restroom break, used the filthy restroom, came out with WET hands, and grabbed a napkin from the dusty napkin holder on the filthy table to dry her hands. Then still never wiped down the table caked with food debris. Absolute terrible level of cleanliness, care, and service. It ruined my appetite. After waiting that long, the Mac n cheese was ice cold. 25 minutes for Mac n cheese with a chill to it and no heat. I'm convinced they pulled it out of the refrigerator and forgot to heat it up. This place just had too many misses: a lack of quality, a lack of good service, and a lack of any sanitation standards. Never again. We didn't finish our food. We threw it away outside.
