    Avocado Chicken Salad Grilled

Being from Los Angeles, I'm pretty picky when it comes to food spots, but Pollo Tropical really impressed me. The food is fresh, flavorful, and different from anything back home. Jeimy, the cashier, was super friendly and made the experience even better with her great attitude and attention to detail. It's always nice when you find a place that delivers good food and great service. Definitely worth checking out.

    Overcooked dried out chicken

Today I am using their drive through for ordering. It was rain cat and dog. I am happy to see the kiosk order cover section at their drive through without get wet while order. It was without delay at the pick up window to paid and received the order. I order the half chicken special. It was well cook with good marinated sauce. The marinated went to skin deep. But flavorful. The rice and bean also good to have. The order was well conducted. Food is good for the drive through and accurate with the order.

Picked up lunch today for my family. I don't eat chicken, but Pollo Tropical is one of their favorite restaurants. They really enjoyed their lunch today.

Barely there protein with burned onions. It was basically an onion sandwich.

Once again this franchise disappoints. The pork was nothing but gummy fat and a large order of plantains which they charge $4 for, is scarce. Also whe I wS in drive thru, the wait was terribly and ridiculously long. As I waited, I looked inside and where they stack the rice, there was a bag open just sitting there. I sure hope they close it at night. They seriously need new management.

Props to Pollo Tropical for always appreciating their veterans and community. I went in today for their monthly Military Appreciation Day - free 1/4 chicken platter with 2 sides for active duty and veterans. There was nobody else in the drive-thru when I went, so the service was very fast. I received my food quickly with no problems. The food wasn't bad but definitely nothing to go crazy about. Can't really complain though when the whole meal was free. Thanks again!

The cashier and the manager was ghetto as hell. I asked for pineapple sauce and she told me that they didn't have it. The next customer asked for it and she gave it to her. They are unprofessional. The dining room is dirty and so are the workers. No one looked neat. None of the guys had haircuts or were clean shaven. One of the workers had her kids there while she was working and they were running around being loud. The cover was not on the soup and the cashier had an attitude when I asked to purchase more rice. I will never come here again and I love Pollo Tropical. This location is thrash and the entire staff need to be fired! The only good thing is that the food was good!

Fried chicken pressed cuban! Yummy delicious!!!!!

I'm pleased to be the first to review the newly unveiled Toma Orang Cafe Latin Restaurant by Sofia…read moreVergara which is a new quick service Latin restaurant at Busch Gardens by Jungala & Wild Oasis. Toma is a very needed addition to supplement the lack of healthy food options at Busch Gardens multiple themed areas. Several themed areas of Busch gardens just do not have any food options at all, let alone healthy food options. Jungala & Wild Oasis was one of the themed areas with no healthy food options and now is no longer void of any healthy food options! At Toma, guests have to get in line, request their bowl or meal, pay at the register, and then find a seat with their food. There is no table service at this quick service restaurant. The Barbacoa Bowl came with Beef barbacoa, cilantro lime rice, black beans, cotija cheese, pickled onions, sweet plantains, creamy cilantro salsa The Pollo En Salsa Verde Bowl came with Chicken in salsa verde, cilantro lime rice, black beans, cotija cheese, roasted corn, guacamole, salsa roja. The Plantas Bowl is a plant based bowl with no meat with Cilantro lime rice, black beans, guacamole, roasted corn, salsa roja, cotija cheese. Toma also serves Empanadas Served with salsa roja With Toty's Beef, French Onion, or Vegan Lentil Toma also serves Croquetas with salsa roja & Chicken croquetas Toma serves sides of Rice, Beans, Sweet Plantains, Pan de Bono Toma serves 2 Desserts including Guava & Cheese Pastelito which is a Traditional pastry of Colombia & Hazelnut Empanadas Toma also serves 4 kinds of milkshakes including Toty's Milkshake, Guava & cheesecake milkshake, Mano's Milkshake, Colada coffee milkshake. Toma loses points for missing any kids menu with kids sized smaller portions. Unfortunately we are forced to order an adult entree for the kids as there are no options for kids here. I hope management can add options for kids in the future as there are a lot of kids at these theme parks that don't need a huge adult size bowl. Toma also loses points for having a very limited menu, missing chips and salsa, queso, nachos, tacos, quesadillas, chimichangas, fajitas, burritos, & missing a wide variety of flavored margaritas. I have never been to any Spanish restaurant that is missing chips and salsa or house made hot sauce or different flavored margaritas. If you're in Busch Gardens and craving healthy Latin cuisine, definitely check out Toma as it is the only Latin cuisine in the whole park and one of the few places that doesn't just serve burgers or pizza aside from the smoke house, the dragon theater, and festival booths. I hope Busch Gardens can add more healthy food options in every themed land of the park including at Sesame Street and by the Elephants too. Currently, when we go to the Sesame Street kids area, we have to walk way too far for a good 10+ minutes to the dragon theater get decent healthy food in Busch Gardens. With Toma, we can now walk a little less, but if the kids are not in mood for Latin food, we have to walk much more.

The employee on staff was very helpful explaining the various topping options. I thought it was a good experience, although a bit expensive for what you receive (pretty much the case for all food at Busch Gardens). I also tried the guava & cheese pastelito (pastry). I would pass on this dessert. It didn't have enough filling spread through the inside of the triangle shaped pastry. Most bites were just dough. All seating is outside and half of that is under the wooden boardwalk where rain pours on you. Not ideal. Final improvement would be a sign indicating whether the restaurant is open since you can't see the window from the Wild Oasis entrance area. And there are no hours posted. When I inquired an employee there said it opened between 10:30 and 11, mainly once the register is setup. Still working on consistency...

Everything I had was super flavorful and the prices are very reasonable. I had a port tamale. It was unusual in that it was bone in, but it was the best and msot flavorful tamale I've ever had. Just pure goodness. The tamale "pisque" is black bean filled. It's kind of an unusual flavor. There are lots of traditional dishes from El Salvador here like fried yucca which is actually fried yucca with fried pork pieces. They also have some agua fresca type beverages like horchata as well as hot drinks like Atol de Elote which is a corn based hot beverage. They also have Atol de Pin(y)a which is a pineapple version. I've been to Pupuseria Centro Americana and for me this place is ten times better. It's UBER casual Acapulco Grocery style eatery in a grocery store with several tables and a tv. The checkout lady was very nice and helpful and spoke English. Fellow customers are also friendly and happy to share their culture. The cooks who work at the hot food / bakery area and counter no hablan ingles. While you're here you can pick up some tasty snacks, unusual sodas, frozen tropical fruit pulps (hello smoothies!!!) and other goodies. This place rocks. The bakery items are only $1 each, no joke, so try one of everything. :) :) :) Gracias a Dios!!!!!
