Dont waste your time or money.I have finally had enough.I am finally getting tired of being patient with this restaurant.I have been going there since they first opened was so excited that we were finally get one near me. Unfortunately, things are getting worse instead of better at this restaurant. I have been there twice this week and tried to get mac and cheese and both times they have been out.What is the point of offering something on the menu that you never have.They don't tell they are out of stuff either until you have already waited in line forever and you get to the window.This is not the first time this has happened it's almost every time i go there.I dont even know why I keep trying . One day eveything i got was burnt like they scrapped the bottom of the pan .The corn casserole was black and half full and the chicken was burnt to death ,so dry you couldnt even eat it. Anyway, today i decided to try a quesadilla salad and last time i checked a quesadilla is cooked.They threw a cold tortilla with a little of shred cheese in the middle also cold on top of the salad and a couple of dressing container maybe a quarter full if im being generous.both containers not enough for probably a third of the salad.I have pics.on top of not having mac and cheese.I think im finally done dealing with these people.Im not even going to bother talking about how bad their customer service is i think enough people have covered that area already.I suggest you get a whole new team of employees and start again before you lose all your customers. read more

Worst customer service i've received at a pollo tropical location is awful in every aspect , there was not a single clean table, there was chicken on the floor, they didn't have any menus to look at, they only had half of the screens on top and the ones they did have didn't work at all, and the cashier was rude he had no professionalism and no adequate whatsoever. If I could give 0 stars I would,horrible customer service. I was left waiting for 15 min, the cashier left didn't say when he was coming back to the register. When I was finally attended, I believe it was the manager she had a awful attitude and didn't seem interested in my questions. I was on vacation and I've never been here before so I asked about the combos. The food was ok. If you have to stop here I would recommend the drive thru so you don't have to spend time here. This location has only been open a short period of time so maybe they aren't finding their footing fast enough, so take this review with a grain of salt. My first visit was a few weeks ago, the food was delicious, everything was wonderfully fresh, the place was clean as a whistle and full of customers enjoying their dinner time meal. I was telling everyone I talked to that they should go try the place; it has a very different menu and all the choices were interesting. That tomato salad was out of this world, best I've ever had. I was disappointed that this spot isn't anywhere that I go near very often. Well, I was in the area yesterday so I went online and ordered takeout for my family dinner. So sad about the result-it was dried up, way overdone chicken, it looked so unappetizing that I had to convince family to try it, they were not happy. The tomato salad was mushy and tasted flat, like it was made days in advance and even the rice was gummy. I was very disappointed in the change. Employees were friendly, and the meal was well packaged, that is the only good marks I can give them for this meal. The menu selections are so interesting that I will probably give it one more chance. The 2 stars are only because of the menu choices. Literal worst experience at a fast food restaurant ever. 3:00 on a Saturday, the girl taking the order couldn't answer simple questions like," do you have regular sweet tea?" Instead kept insisting I ordered mango sweet tea. This went on for 2 minutes and finally getting the response from another employee over the loud speaker that no they did not have regular sweet tea, I ordered lemonade instead. Then pulling up to the window she was screaming to the car that was pulling away after getting their order and had him walk back over and proceeded to ask if he had the wrong order... she finally handed part of our meal, asked for our receipt she just handed us, then didn't have the rest of the order ready, and made us wait two minutes because the cooks hadn't dropped the fried yucca yet. Finally, we had all our food but she forgot to give us the lemonade. So there ya go, negative stars for this frustrating place. Never ever go here even if Chick Fil A line is long. Based on the other reviews I shouldn't be surprised but service was terrible. The woman taking my order was very rude and impatient with me as I tried to place my order. Food quality is average, sometimes I get good portions sometimes small, very inconsistent. I usually stop by late after work so maybe I'm catching them at the end of their shifts? At any rate more of an effort towards polite customer service would be appreciated Edit: So I'm still sitting here in the drive-through 20 minutes after I placed my order and all I can see are employees on their phones joking around while there is a line of cars behind me. If I could give zero stars i would give this store a zero. Because i waited for my orders for two hours and than it was late and no other stores were open. And the employees does not even know what they are doing. They were like call in the store tomorrow so that we can solve the issue. As I am doing keto and strict diet my options were really less. Service is slow when busy obviously but the food is always great. When they first opened this location the workers were unfriendly and very light on servings. I got a large tropichop when it first opened and they gave me less than what you would receive in a regular. I've been three times since then and they are doing a lot better. They have a full sauce bar inside for all your needs which is very nice. Would recommend I love the restaurant but just know when it's busy you may wait a bit. We stopped at this Pollo Tropical while traveling between Florida and our home in Virginia. We weren't familiar with Pollo Tropical since they don't have a restaurant in our home area. Took a chance and gave it a try, and we're glad that we did! The grilled chicken was just great, especially considering the price. The menu is vast for a casual dining restaurant too. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. The general manager happened to be there and took the time to speak to us and inquire about the quality of our lunch. I recommend Pollo Tropical as a great casual dining restaurant that's a much better alternative to traditional "fast food". read more

I got salmonella from this place ! Yesterday I hadn't ate anything at all so the first thing I had was some pollo tropical mind you I hadn't ate anything before or after so it couldn't be anything else. I've been weak, and have diarrhea for 6 hours! I've been nauseous and I feel horrible! Don't eat from this place & they mess up my order every time they always miss something. I have only just discovered Pollo Tropical. Unfortunately, my 3 experiences have been less than stellar. On each of my visits, at least one of the items I wanted was sold out. I'll that before 6 p.m. they close at 10. Really? Not to mention, the conversations you here in the Drive-Thru are inappropriate at best. And these are the people working in the kitchen. Should I be able to hear them that clearly and distinctly at the drive-thru window? I may try other Pollo Tropical's, but right now I'm disillusioned with them. I love Pollo Tropical. I have eaten at several different Pollo Tropical locations and they're all consistently good. I usually a get a piece of chicken and a side or two. I love the variety of sauces. (one minor quibble: I wish they would make fried yuca a side, and not a separate, more costly, extra. Oh well) However, I had a bad time at the Fowler location on this visit. First, I wish they would make their promotions more overt. I found out after I ordered that they were running a special on the quarter chicken with one side. I had ordered two sides, and paid quite a bit more just for that one side. Wish I had known! It's not the first time I've seen the "whisper campaign" promotions used at PT. If it's on special, promote it openly! Second, and even worse, the cilantro garlic pump came apart and exploded all over my face and clothes! It was a real mess. I let them know, and they came and cleaned up the floor and table, but never said a word to me. I love Pollo Tropical! I used to live in Miami and I've been a fan for years. I came to this location and the service was awful. I went on a Saturday at 2:30 PM after rush-hour; first they took longer than normal to get our order. When we finally got to the window I ask for 10 sauces. The girl at the window told me that I could NOT have that many. I pointed out to her that I had 4 large TropiChops , 2 large orders of yuca and 2 large orders a plantains . She responded with a bad attitude and poor customer service. Then I get home and 2 of my TropiChops were wrongz It's a shame because the bad service will drive people away. I asked for a refund, instead I got a box of food that was literally thrown together. When I said I didn't want the food I want my money back, the lady "helping" me just walked off and started taking new orders. So I paid $10 for a box of mixed food that I didn't get to eat. First time I went there it took them 45 minutes to get my food out to me, when I received it, my order was wrong. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went a second time at 9:45pm, however this time I went to the drive thru line. It took them 7 minutes to even speak to me via the order box, (there was nobody in front of me or behind me, only one car in the parking lot) when she started talking to me she was very short and rude. I asked for crispy chicken and they said they were out, then I asked for yuca, which she said she was out of as well. They close at 11pm. They have horrible service. read more
