I'm obsessed with their maple chapstick and bought 4 more! So nice and great customer service. They had a stand with Maple Iced Coffees and Maple Cinnamon Buns and I think hot coffee and hot chocolate. The coffee is brewed with maple so we got one iced with cream and one iced with cream and shot of maple syrup. The coffee was so flavored with maple already I didn't need the maple shot. It was sooooo good. Of course we bought the bag of coffee (it is Benbow's from Maine). They sell lots of Maine Maple goodies. Maple syrup (obvi) but they have a specialty bourbon barrel version as well that makes a nice gift. Their Maple whoopie pie is prob one of my Top 3 fave whoopies in Maine. We bought other goodies..maple cotton candy, maple fudge (which youcan freeze), maple taffy, maple cream and wax dipped cheeses. All the little stands took cards. During busy events they had local police stopping traffic for you to pull out and direct where to park. They also had 2 Porta potties on site.

Our order came out in one hour and ten minutes. Seventy minutes. As much as I could, I saw the kitchen as the problem. The waitresses hustled; they were on a dead run. But their duties were split; one seated new parties and waited table as well. Another, ours, admitted she had been pulled into the kitchen to assist in plating. As well, the kitchen must deal with takeout orders, which on a Saturday, are many. So the blame must be the management. The only solution should be to stay away- vote with our feet- go elsewhere, until management feels the loss of income and corrects the situation. When the word is out, that Pat's decides on the family restaurant model and not a beer hall, we will return. And not before.

So we got a pizza last week and I'll admit, it was pretty good. I lived in NYC and went to New Haven several times and had all of the famous "Apizza" at Sally's, Modern, etc. this was a close. Then I followed them on Facebook, and see them post every day, early in the day, that they're sold out, and act like that's an achievement? I don't know, it bugged me. Then I come on here and see that whoever is representing them thinks that it's a good idea to say wild, immature stuff to people that leave reviews. Whoever this is is out there. My Wife then went in again and the guy running the place said he recognized her from Facebook and she "should go get a pizza from Dominos" and to get out. Unbelievable. Truly. I got degraded and yelled at by what I could only hope or anticipate was the owner being drunk, but I have no way of knowing. All that happened is that they announced that they were sold out, which they do every day. Today it was at 4:00 on a Friday and I very innocuously said that that was a bummer because my family and I were about to come in. We've been so excited to try it. I then got private messages sent to me (after I got blocked) saying extremely unnecessary and rude things about me. I don't know these people! All I wanted was a pizza. Not worth the hype. We went in one night and the girl told us they just sold out, and it was quarter after 3 in the afternoon. We ended up getting 2 pizzas a few days later, and they're okay. This one did not get heated up as it was suggested to leave it cold (logical considering it basically has a salad on top). I don't know what the vegan cheese was but it tasted like a whipped ricotta/goat cheese would. The fresh tomato, pickled peppers and red onion all played perfectly together. Once we got home we enjoyed our pizza, my wife said it was nostalgic and reminds her of the takeout pizzas she had growing up. I also enjoyed it and would gladly order more pizzas from here again. Overall if possible I would give this place a 4.25 or 4.5 star rating cause it was not quite a 5 but also a little better than 4. They have run a successful business the way they do for so long, so they clearly know what they are doing.
