They really should serve an even number, since someone's going to lose a finger reaching for the last one, if you split an order. IF.) * If they have any dish on the menu with delicata squash, order it immediately! It's always succulent (can one say that about a vegetable? Mang does!), "meaty," earthy, and life-changing. * "Southern" fried chicken: As a matter of fact, no, it's not. It lacks the spices and herbs one finds in Southern cooking, but I will say that it's moist. Otherwise, whatever. (Mang is from the South; she knows.) * ANY shaved brussels sprouts salad: YES! Do it. * Beecher's Mac and Cheese Bowl: Yo' momma's ain't this good! Try it with sausage. * Firebreads: Pretty good, but eat half and you'll be hungry an hour later. * ANY burger they make: Good gugga mugga! Oh, Burger of Pomegranate, I dub thee Best Burger in Washington State and Perhaps the United States. Okay, stop reading and just go. GO NOW! (But the fries and slaw: whatever.) * ANY quinoa or veggie bowl: Shush and order it. Eat your vegetables! * Chocolate ganache cake: Oh, yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. YESSSSS! You WILL have what I'm having! * Nudder budders with chocolate soup: Life-changing. Yes. * Apple tart: Whatever. * Banana tart: Whatever. * Dulce de leche bread pudding: Whatever. Okay, enough. This list could go on forever. I eat there too much, as you can see--sometimes twice a week. What's the frustrating red peel? Eating there too often hurts my wallet as Pomegranate is not cheap. Sometimes, I believe they're definitely overpriced for casual dining. Only sometimes, though. (I'm looking at you, soup and chicken.) Also, I hope they do something about the seating, because the single chairs are dang uncomfortable. So, four stars for many sparkling, "YES!", and life-changing dishes, cakes in the case, and great coffee; and minus one star for several whatever/frustrating dishes, booty-bruising chairs, and approaching finer dining prices. read more

Still tastes great! Came here for a quick late lunch... and was seated right away. My son got a kids tv box, and wow it was a lot of food, and delicious for only $14! He was super happy about the food! He got chicken tenders, and they were real pieces of chicken, that's been nicely battered. Great sides.. and delicious cookie to end! I got a vegetarian curry. It was delicious, but I wish they had a bit more curry to it.. as I had lots of rice left over without sauce. But it was super delicious. No regrets! Finished off with some dessert, and yummmm so delicious! My son said he wanted his birthday cake from here! And we had carrot cake! It's hard to find good carrot cake.. so Pom did it amazingly! My son and I came here for lunch. He got the hot chicken sandwich. I had a bite and it was delicious! A little hot and a little sweet with the coleslaw. I ordered the BLT. It came on fresh made bread which was okay, but I prefer a traditional toasted bread. The bacon was thick and tough and hard to chew. I wouldn't order that sandwich again, but I would definitely go back and try something else or order the chicken sandwich for sure! Good service and nice ambience. read more

As a longtime Eastside resident, I'm a little ashamed that I had never eaten here. It's tucked away in a business park, but has a cozy, intimate atmosphere that's perfect for date night or a special event. And the food, can we talk about the food? We went to Pomegranate Bistro last Friday night as we were driving through Redmond. We still had some time to order from the Happy Hour menu so we took a look at it and something called Grillades and Grits caught my eye. It's a New York steak with sautéed peppers and onions, both covered with demi-glacé, with vegetables on the side. OMG, it was the best restaurant meal I have ever had, without exception!!! Our server told us it was on the menu as part of Pomegranate's 20th anniversary and the last day it would be available was Sept 3rd. So I asked how to best ask to keep it on the menu...answer: Yelp!! Our server did tell the manager, and I'm hoping he or she will pass my request to the owner Lisa Dupar. In any case, they also had Lisa's cookbook, Fried Chicken and Champagne for sale at the restaurant, and it had the recipe in it...we bought 5 copies, one for us and the others for gifts to family and friends. read more

First time here. Varied menu for breakfast or brunch. I ordered the Monte Cristo to split and our server offered to do it for us. A nice touch when some restaurants get absolutely apoplectic when asked to split an order. Came with rosemary hash browns that were nothing to rave about. Rather dry and tasteless even with the rosemary. Sandwich, however, was in thick brioche dusted in powdered sugar and stuffed with ham, cheese n egg. It was perfection. My son had the breakfast tacos and was pleasantly pleased with his selection. Their menu includes a full bar with specialty drinks and a full barista coffee bar. We sat in the bar to avoid a 40 minute wait for a table. The bartender and our server were the best of the staff. Friendly and attentive. Hostess was rather surly and should probably find a job that gives her some measure of joy. Of course, I had to stop and browse the bakery items at the front door before leaving. I purchased a slice of carrot cake, a chocolate brownie, and a coconut banana tart. I will update after I sample each. Hopped out for a quick bite to eat on Valentine's Day. While we occasionally come for brunch, it's been a while since we've had dinner at Pomegranate. Always super-tempting to see desserts in the cabinet as you walk in the door. The front-half of the restaurant was pretty busy, sounded like the bar area was too. Super-friendly and warm welcome - seated in the front-half within a few minutes at a nice corner table for two. Our server for the night - Misha, stopped by the table within a minute of us being seated - nice friendly greeting, dropped off some water, and circled back after giving us a few to get situated. V.Day menu as well as the regular a-la-carte menu - with meat, veggie, and vegan options. We grabbed a pear and burrata salad, a reasonable price bottle of Malbec to get ahead of mains, and couple of cocktails to get warmed up - bar service was right on time. Despite being a busy night, the kitchen and front-of-house had it together. Food pacing was perfect. Burrata was delicious, just the right size for two. It was a nice combination of juxtaposition of crunch vs. soft textures and poached pear acidity vs. creamy cheese mouth-feel. We ordered mains and drank our cocktails and moved onto the wine - all great. Lu ordered off the specials - crab-cakes, a little side of risotto for some carbs, I took the flat bread. The crab-cakes were delicious, w/ nice light vinaigrette on a simple salad. Presentation was great. I could have easily eaten a whole bowl of the risotto - creamy al-dente texture, nice salty cheese with mushroom umami. The flatbread was cooked to perfection, nice balance of salty prosciutto, melted cheese, and a light arugula topping. We topped off a great night a glass of port, and split a small trifle dessert. Top marks all-round for Misha and the rest of the ladies out front. Pace of service was right on the money - not too urgent, not too relaxed, just right. Lu even got a little hug on the way out. We enjoyed our Valentine's Day dinner here last night. Everything was absolutely delicious. We had truffle fries, Brussels sprouts, steak frites, Mac and cheese and finished with the cinnamon roll bread pudding. We paired it with a delicious bottle of Bordeaux which was very reasonably priced.our server, Misha was perfectly attentive and very friendly. My friend and I were looking for a brunch place around Redmond after working out nearby, and fortunately, we found Pomegranate Bistro. The space is huge, as they have the front room where you can see inside the kitchen, and also the back room with a bar. Also, they have a heated, covered back patio area. The menu wasn't all that large, but had enough to choose from. I can't really pinpoint what the cuisine is here. The menu had southern dishes, as well as some Mexican entrees. I guess you could say comfort food. But bottom line is - there's something for everyone here. My friend had the chicken and waffles while I tried the shrimp and grits. Food didn't take long to get and it was yummy! My friend's dish of chicken and waffles honestly didn't look like much, with just a piece of fried chicken on top of a waffle with three sauces on the side. And she admitted she was at first a little disappointed by its appearance, but don't judge a book by its cover. She loved her food, saying the chicken was perfectly fried and crispy and the sauces complemented the waffle and chicken. I also enjoyed my shrimp and grits more than expected. I can't say I've had a lot of grits in my life, but these golden Carolina grits has me scooping up another and another. They were good! I also liked that the dish came with some peppers for that added zest. The biscuit on the side had a sweet flavor to it, which tasted like honey. Great dish! If you can't stay for a meal, they do have a coffee cart with a ton of baked items that they make in house. But if you can stay for a meal, you won't be disappointed. Recently, I came to meet up with a friend for the "Weeknight Winedown." The menu has select wines at 30% off. We ended up ordering off the original wine menu and found some well-priced, unique wine choices. This was enjoyed with a large cheese plate for a reasonable price. The website states they close at 10 pm, but they actually close at 9 pm. We were able to stay and finish our cribbage game and left a bit after 9. The staff was great. What could improve? I almost don't even know where to start. First of all, I 100% want to support small businesses especially the ones that are unique and can bring something special and extraordinary to the community. But today was probably the worst dining experience ever and I won't be wasting my time or money here. The server was basically absent. I ask for a straw three times and had to ask another server to get it. Our food came cold, not lukewarm, but cold. We kept waiting and waiting for the server to appear and she didn't. Finally she came by and I asked the server if it had been sitting for a while and she said she didn't know. (Like what?!!!!). And, not just cold, but the hash browns were overcooked and hard as a rock. Our meals were replaced and warm the next time around, but the eggs Benedict was not runny and the biscuit was flat and hard. My daughters waffle was over cooked and the chicken wasn't any better than the chicken I cook at home. Very disappointing as it was her birthday and we thought it would fun to try out this quaint little place. The server, literally, was absent and never checked on us. Another server was covering her tables and I can't even imagine what she was doing. She only had two tables. The others guests were frustrated also and rolled their eyes our way. I do not plan to visit any time soon nor will I recommend this restaurant to my friends. We spent over $100 and it would have been much better just going to the Sammamish Cafe, which we frequent at least once a week. Only giving a 4 star as I heard recently that people don't trust 1 or 5 star reviews. had the POM Cobb salad, should have taken a photo, really good, bacon perfectly fried. We went here for Sunday brunch. I had the Lisa 's Southern Fried Chicken & Waffles and the golden milk. The chicken was nice and tasty and the waffle was also delicious. The golden milk was a bit on the sweet side. Service was great. However I am not sure I will be back soon, the place charges 20% on top of your bill but they keep that money instead of giving it to the servers. The sliders were the size of poker chips and you only get two. My wife had to eat dried fruit after cause she was still so hungry. The chicken sandwich was flavorful but also tiny. It's just one little chicken thigh. They should at least find a smaller bun to match so you're not getting bites of just bread and slaw FFS. All in all you are better off going to Chil-Fil-A. You'll save $40, get a bigger sandwich and a better crunch on the crisp. Only reason this place generously gets two stars is for the flavor. A great hidden away gem of a bakery/restaurant (it is in what looks more like an office complex) well worth finding in Redmond. March, being Women's History Month, just added to a visit to Not so secret, delicious food choices and great service. Jennifer F. Was very helpful and on spot on the food and information about the menu, lots of choices, but anytime I can get Eggs Florentine, I'm on it. My brunch Yelp friend choose another not so common menu item, Low country Carolina shrimp and grits, both orders came out quickly, in this bustling busy bistro. The eggs Florentine was delicious, especially with the added side of pico de Gallo, very fresh. Hash browns were crispy and flavorful, the hollandaise sauce and fresh steamed spinach and cooked perfectly eggs were tasty. The shrimp and grits with scrambled eggs also was very good, and disappeared quickly (always a good sign) house coffee was hot and flavorful. But one item you must try while there, or to take home, as well, are the Savannah Hot Puffs... it's like a beignet meets a cream puff, and makes a heavenly tasting pastry. It comes out warm with a coating of cinnamon and sugar, tear it apart and add the crème anglaise... Yum!!! Very popular, for good reason. It even states in the menu, it may take a little extra time.. but worth the wait. Two other not so traditional breakfast I watched people enjoying, where the chicken and waffles and fire bread, all the more reasons for return visits. Well 8.5 years after my last review and a divorce and global pandemic later, I triumphantly returned for brunch with my girls. There were 4 of us meeting at 10am this morning on this wet & rainy day (yuck!) after a full week of glorious weekday sunshine. Thankfully, inside Pom Bistro, it was still just as cozy as I remembered it. Food was delicious and plentiful (HUGE portions) and our server Dulce was a total doll - warm, personable, funny, and even let us split the final check by our individual seat numbers on her little portable handheld machine thingy that I wish more restaurants would use for check paying ease! You can't get better than avoiding the awkwardness of the fair-bill settling process at the end of a friend's meal haha. Food-wise: Friend #1 & Friend #2 both got the Pom Breakfast Plate ($17; two eggs, bacon or chicken sausage, toast or biscuit, house jam & butter and your choice of grits or rosemary hashbrowns) exactly the same way with eggs scrambled, bacon, biscuit and an extra egg scrambled instead of the grits/hashbrowns albeit with friend #1 wanting extra crispy bacon & friend #2 wanting extra soft bacon. Dulce was on on top of all the modifications like a champ! As far as overall taste, if Pom Bistro messed up THIS quintessential American breakfast plate, I think there are larger issues at play lol. Friend #3 got the Biscuits & House Sausage Gravy ($20; handmade sausage gravy over buttermilk biscuit, scrambled eggs, white cheddar) and I think my newborn baby was about the size of the pile of food that arrived on her plate. It was insane! She ate a good sized portion but by the time she requested a carryout box, it looked like she hadn't touched it. I tried a tiny taste of the gravy and it was quite yummy indeed. Amazing value if you don't mind leftovers especially as I feel B&G (& scrambled eggs!) all reheat really well. As for me, I opted for the Classic Ham Benny (ham, poached eggs, hollandaise, buttermilk biscuit, rosemary hashbrowns), which was one of about 4 benny versions on the menu- the others were salmon, fried chicken thigh, and avocado-oil cured tomato. The classic eggs benedict is my barometer for every new brunch place I try to judge restaurant caliber (the "apples to apples" approach if I may) and it was a very very solid dish. I approve! I requested that the hash browns be fried extra crispy because soggy brunch potatoes is just a sad, sad thing and again it was made exactly to my liking. I've got about half the dish in my fridge as leftovers so the $22 stretched out to 2 hearty breakfasts is quite a nice value imho. I also tried the Grapefruit Honey Vanilla Shrub & Soda from their "zero-proof cocktails" (aka non-alcoholic) menu and I wasn't a big fan of the taste profile. Something just tasted off to me and I wish I would have ordered the Blood Orange Raspberry one instead. Next time! I highly recommend Pom Bistro for brunch for any occasion or party size. Their dining space is large so with a reservation, even larger groups shouldn't be an issue. And with something to please anyone and everyone, it can't miss! And after 2.5 hours of munching & gabbing, every single one of us left with leftover boxes to enjoy later so plan accordingly or split/share. read more

My friend and I came here for brunch after church after a recommendation from another friend. I was so excited to see so many beautiful eggs benedict options! My friend had the same thought and we ended up with two eggs benedicts with arugula salads on our table. The biscuit on the eggs benedict completely blew me away. It was a cheddar chive biscuit that rivaled that of Morsel and Bean in Seattle. The egg was done just right and I savored every bite of the meal. The arugula salad was a nice light pairing to the otherwise heavy brunch option. I left still thinking about the pure joy the meal brought me. We arrived at 1 and knew we didn't have much time before closing - thankfully they didn't turn off the Seahawks game and kick anyone out until about 2:30-2:45ish. This was generous of them! Last night my wife and I needed got a break between kid shuffling. On a Friday night at 7:45pm we just hit the receding rush and got a table with minimal wait. What I really wanted to share was my fall flatbread of butternut squash, sage, mushrooms, blue cheese, arugula, and truffle oil was a perfect nod to the season. I seriously think that there isn't many things on their menu that any customer would be disappointed in! The atmosphere of the restaurant is also so lovely. Stopped by for a quick breakfast before meeting up with some friends for a day out in the country. The Avacado toast was really really good. Salad on the side was delicious. Almost liked it more than the Avacado toast! The Bloody Mary came out with the dreaded double skinny straw. My heart sank and I was expecting it to be not good. It was pretty good and could taste the alcohol. Crisis averted! Service was bustling at 9 am (opening) and I'm glad I snagged a seat. Will stop by again if I'm in the area. Pomegranate Bistro keeps coming up on my community Facebook food groups as a spot for brunch. Boy, did it not disappoint! I had the shrimp and grits - gorgeous grits, perfectly textured and seasoned, pillowy scrambled eggs, that sauce!, and the best biscuit I've had in a while. Two thumbs up on the chicken and waffles from my husband, but I didn't try it. Looked great, with butter, syrup, and preserves on the side. I am coming back for the desserts and coffee! read more

Enjoyed the ribs best mashed potatoes I've had in a long time. Caesar was brown and wilted please see picture. I'm not excited about the 20% service charge added for take out. This I just paid 20% for wilted Caesar and a few teaspoons of bbq sauce for the ribs. Also went back to grab some to go dessert...20% percent service charge added on. Desserts were ok I would recommend saving the money and going across the street to Whole Foods to get dessert better selections and no service charge. I want to help local business but don't want to feel taken advantage of either. I find it odd that I didn't see anything about charges on the website maybe I missed that. Thanks for good ribs but budget wise will go somewhere else. read more
