Almost liked it more than the Avacado toast! The Bloody Mary came out with the dreaded double skinny straw. My heart sank and I was expecting it to be not good. I had the shrimp and grits - gorgeous grits, perfectly textured and seasoned, pillowy scrambled eggs, that sauce!, and the best biscuit I've had in a while. Enjoyed the ribs best mashed potatoes I've had in a long time. Caesar was brown and wilted please see picture. I'm not excited about the 20% service charge added for take out. This I just paid 20% for wilted Caesar and a few teaspoons of bbq sauce for the ribs. Also went back to grab some to go dessert...20% percent service charge added on. Desserts were ok I would recommend saving the money and going across the street to Whole Foods to get dessert better selections and no service charge. I want to help local business but don't want to feel taken advantage of either. I find it odd that I didn't see anything about charges on the website maybe I missed that. I was not impressed by the service. For brunch, their menu is limited. We had spent over $100 for mediocre food. The decor inside is nice but that's pretty much where it ends. Pomegranate Bistro is a great place to meet up with friends for brunch! It seems to be conveniently located as a halfway point between a lot of Eastside towns. Parking can be horrendous, but they do have their own lot. If you are 21+, opt to sit in the bar area. Dishes are both classic and creative, they have a surprising number of mimosas to choose from, and their dinner options are yummy too! The staff here are really nice, although occasionally slow. We did have one time when our server forgot to bring our coffees, but that obviously didn't deter us from visiting again. read more

We have had take out from Pomegranate multiple times. The oil flatbread is addicting. My kid loves the mac and cheese kids meal or by itself. The kids meal came with cookie and fruit and salad. Ive also picked up chocolate croissants from here mid afternoon and theyre still So fresh and delicious. They are always on time when I order to go and wrapped up perfectly. It's a mix of people eating when I have gone in. Looks like a bridge club seated next to a board mtg next to a person who just came from a 10 mile hike. Seems casual but not intimidating to come in and eat at anytime. Sometimes the host or hostess can be running around but its never longer than 30 seconds or so when walking in. Amazing food and will have to come in and eat vs just takeout. Oh I wanted to love this place so much but unfortunately it just didn't do it for me. We started with the savannah hot puffs which were just ok, suffice to say I didn't want a second helping. Then we had the chicken and waffles and the pomegranate breakfast plate. Here's the thing the chicken was dry and burnt on one side, I'd have asked for a new plate except it took forever to get the plates out. Comparatively though it was by far bottom on my list of good chicken and waffles. The breakfast plate wasn't any better u got 2 tiny sausages which tasted great (not ok for the price) and the hash brown was greasy. I have to mention this is just in regards to brunch, I would probably give them another shot for a different meal, but would I go there for breakfast again? afraid not read more

Service are good and family atmosphere here. The first I knew this place was from my friend's recommendation, and we used to hang out with the same age groups. I am from California and I came to Redmond to visit family. I was here with a group of 5. I ordered a burger with a lettuce bun and it was delicious. The burger was cooked perfectly to my order (medium-rare). The patty was juicy and falling apart. It came with fries and the normal condiments. The fries were shoe string and it was alright. Their ketchup is homemade and okay. I enjoyed that it was homemade but it did not taste much like ketchup. If this place is purely based off their bakery items I'd give this a 5 star! Wow, I've never had a bakery place better than here. I tried their lemon bar, coconut&pecan cookie, and a twice baked almond croissant. All I can say is outstanding to every single pastry I have tried. Very rich, buttery, made to perfection. Even in California I haven't had a bakery better than theirs. Been here a few times. Usually a short wait during peak times, but food has been well above average for each visit. Most recent visit included fried chicken and the bistro burger, both of which were excellent! After thinking about it, the burger was one of the better ones I have ever had and that's saying something! Cooked just as requested with just the right amount of char-broiled flavor on top of the patty that had just the right amount of fat for juicy flavor! The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and still juicy on the inside with just the right amount of breading! Service was as slow at points but they came by 2-3 times to make sure everything was good, so happy overall on that count as well! Great food and great experience at prices you would expect for the area (not cheap), so would definitely recommend. We got the lavender lemonade, fried chicken dinner with mashed potatoes, and the salmon pesto pasta. We thought everything was delicious and we also loved the ambiance. It was dog friendly outside on the patio and we were the only ones out there on a weekday night. Surrounded by the wonderful plants and gardens, this place was a gem in Redmond. I don't know why it has such okay reviews, I would definitely give this place a 5 out of five as everything was delicious and the service was fantastic. It might be a little bit on the pricey side but considering everything in Seattle I think this is right on par. Two previous experiences were good. Going back for the third time, we ordered the BLT sandwiches. I personally chose it because it contained my favorite local Bellingham made Hempler's bacon. When we were served the sandwiches, the bacon was sliced so thin that it was unrecognizable as Hempler's and very sparsely applied. Otherwise, the bread and other ingredients were fine. But a BLT is judged highly by the bacon. We mentioned it to the server and a side dish of bacon was cooked up and brought to the table. It was thickly sliced and cooked to perfection. When I asked why the variation, I was told that a different person sliced it from the slab. The best restaurants become known for consistency. Any time one dines there, the quality and presentation has to be the same every time. My rating would have been know higher than a three if not for past experiences, the pleasant atmosphere and the reparation of an inadequate sandwich. read more

They use to serve a dish called moonfries, I received it with ice chunks in the center. No real make right on the bill either even after explaining. (Late 2019) Fast forward to now. The vibe in that place has changed, service has declined. Many times I have been neglected for long periods of time, servers are sometimes less than friendly. This makes addition of the baked in 20% tip is grating and while I enjoy the food the price is too high and the experience is too thin. Overall it's just not the same as it use to be. read more

A reliably good mid-range eatery, Pomegranate Bistro suffers from a lack of visibility, despite occupying a huge space in a non-descript business park, due largely to their blink-and-you'll-miss-it signage. They also show a lack of product focus, as they try to be a full production bakery, cafe, restaurant AND bar, all at the same time in the same odd space... But what they DO do is interesting and mostly good, most of the time. The gigantic space lends itself well to rental for special catered events, and the food is solid common-denominator stuff most folks can agree on, mostly comfort food takes and diner-style classics with a modern twist and some local ingredient tie-in, like Beecher's cheese or Hempler's bacon. Prices are moderate, maybe a bit on the high side for the portions, which are conservative. The cocktail list is mostly creative variations on traditional and popular standbys like mules, margaritas and old fashioned cocktails. They run six rotating taps that feature local and regional faves and at least a couple rarities, and 15 or so bottles with a few locals, but mostly safe, mass-produced megabrews. There are a couple ciders. You can count on Pomegranate Bistro not to offend or challenge you much, and if you're looking for a place for a business meeting, catered event, or happy hour with something for almost everyone on your guest list, you've come to the right place. I like supporting local business but it does not feel good being conned specifically when one has other choices and if you are asking for support during COVID times. I want to share my experience as a reminder never to go there again and for other never to try this horrid place! My experience was bad in all aspects: 1. Quantity: we ordered Gumbo which is stated to be for 4. The quantity is at best for 2 at best on a diet budget. For $60 with surcharge and tips it's a steal ( or robbery) 2. Quality: The gumbo had no discernible meat or anything and tasted insipid. The rice was bone dry and inedible. 3. Missing items: The order missed out on corn bread again a sham 4. Service: We called immediately after we realized but no response or apology. Net net we had a great (sic!) experience and had to add our own things to have dinner.
