My husband needed a very specific color of suit for a wedding. The color he needed was not in stock.The employee that we were working with recommended another store. Within an hour we were at the other store purchasing exactly what we needed. They are so nice and helpful and friendly. They have great suits and shirts and ties etc...Because we've been there so many times all I have to do now All I have to do now is call them up and order a suit over the phone!!:) they keep a record of your sizes and what you ordered. They know what they're talking about. They are always so friendly. They have a tailor right there in the store that you can schedule appointment with to do same day alterations!! This is a wonderful hidden gem for men's clothing in Mesa. It is geared mostly for Latter-day Saint missionaries getting ready to go into the field, but men looking for a nice suit, or the best white shirts in the business (CTR brand) will find a great place here. Staff are always friendly and willing to lend a hand and give advice based on your needs and their available product range. You don't have to be a missionary or even LDS to shop here. Wow! What a nice store to buy a suit! My nephew and I came to look for a nice suit for him to wear for special occasions. The staff was so nice. The manager was super friendly and so helpful. The manager was able to answer all of my questions. The staff here takes their time and works one on one with you. They do measurements right away. That way you're not trying on 5 different jacket sizes. I really appreciated the kindness I was shown. This store has a large selection of suits, shirts and ties. They also do alterations. My nephew is 17 so he's at that age where suits are not the coolest thing but he was very happy and excited which made me happy. read more

We've only had great shopping experiences at Pomeroy's! The first time we walked in, the salesman knew his size just by looking at him and led him to the exact pair of pants he fit. That was easy! We bought my son 2 pairs of their high end pants a few months before he got his mission call. He loved the feel and look so much we went back for all his other clothes once his call arrived. Same great experience! It's not cheap but the styles of clothing he got are supposed to last him a long time. We ended up getting his pants, shirts, socks, shoes, belt, ties and odds and ends here. Fantastic experience at this store. The gentleman who helped us was as friendly, professional and knowledgeable as they come. We were shopping for LDS mission attire for my son and from the moment we stepped in the door they had us taken care of. They offer quality products with lots of options and sizes. In-house tailoring at no extra charge was a bonus! They also had a variety of missionary accessories (lightweight towels, umbrellas, winter gear, sewing kits etc.) making it a great place to check all those things off your shopping list. Just bought a suit and shirts for my son. Fantastic service. Very enjoyable. Highly recommend.

I was so sad to see my son spend his hard-earned money at this "missionary- friendly" store, only to see that my son's pants had torn and buttons had come off before he'd even left the MTC. When I called to ask if there was something Pomeroy's could do to fix the problem, they insisted that my son must have gained weight. When I assured them he hadn't, they said they would pay him $5 a button that he had to repair. After getting pictures to prove the number of buttons for this reimbursement and going to the store personally, Doug said that my son "must be putting his hands in his pockets" and did not honor any kind of compensation. In my opinion, skip the expensive, poorly constructed suits and dated styles at Pomeroy's and run, don't walk to your nearest Penny's or Mr. Mac where you can get better quality and better service. At least, if there's a problem, your missionary can get it taken care of in other locations thru out the country. In my opinion, Pomeroy's takes advantage of naive missionaries and their hard-earned money. read more

My son will be serving a mission in South Africa and needed a LOT of things. I walked in and the salesman had us in and out in a flash with everything we needed at a very reasonable price. They only carry high quality stuff and everything is made to last. It was one stop shopping for a missionary. I will actually be sending in my husband soon to get a new suit. Easily the worst shopping experience I've ever had. Employees are arrogant and cold. They would belittle me when I chose not to purchase an item that they recommended. It has never been more obvious to me that someone was paid on commission. A few days after my initial trip, I went back to return a few items and the employee who took care of me (if you can even call it that) refused to look me in the eyes during the whole transaction. He spoke no more than ten words. In addition: they hemmed all six pairs of pants that I had purchased incorrectly, their styles are terribly outdated, and their employees will flat-out lie to your face about their products. I will never return to Pomeroy's, nor will anyone to whom I've spoken. read more
