My husband and I will be attending our grandson's black tie wedding in California and needed to get decked out. Dave has NEVER worn a tux, and we are in our mid-seventies, so I called around and decided to check out purchasing a used tuxedo from Rose Tuxedo. Who knows? I still have a few unmarried kids... I have used them once before didn't have an issue but this time around experience was horrible. The lady at the front took all the measurements for my party. We went over wat we wanted color and style but when we picked it up nothing fit, missing pieces and when they tried to go back to get the right size she had an attitude as if it was our fault. My son is walking my daughter down the aisle at her wedding, their dad passed away when they were younger, so he is very thrilled about this honor, so I needed to get him a tux and hadn't any clue where to go, but I knew I didn't want to go to Mens Warehouse, their prices are insane! Coworker told me about a family own tux shop that was right down the street from me that they have used in the past and so I went on over to Rose Tuxedo shop, when we got in there we were greeted by Mark, very friendly, helpful and put us at ease. I just needed to know the hard cold fast, what's this going to cost me, and Mark answered me, tux & shoes 79 bucks, I though ok this is great! Son got measured and my daughter & her fiancé was with us and were able to answer questions about style & colors, I am glad they were their because I thought a tux was a tux. I found out on a Tuesday night that people were wearing tuxedos to my friend's wedding on Friday! Rose were able to get me a tux the next day that looked like it was tailored for me! We used Rose Tuxedo for a portion of our groomsmen outfits. Everything was great until after the wedding. One of our groomsmen accidentally brought his tie home instead of returning it and he lives in a different state. One worker there told me that he'll call the groomsmen and work it out with him and then he'll call me back the next morning. We're on our honeymoon during this and we never received a call so we figured that they took care of it. Then we get a call and when I explained to a different worker that the other worker said he was going to call our groomsmen, he got upset at me and said they don't do that. I would tell your workers that information before you get upset at the clients on their honeymoon. That's all. read more

I chose this business to rent my son a suit for my daughter's wedding based on the reviews on here, and I was very happy I did. Even though it was an hour drive from home. It was obvious that I was on a tight budget, and I was given a discount on the rental and leniency on the return date because we were attending the wedding out of state. They made my boy look really sharp and he was given many compliments at the venue. I would very highly recommend this business. We rented Tuxedo's for my brother's wedding from Rose Tuxedo. FANTASTIC quality, service, & price. Our whole party was extremely happy with the result. I spoke to a friend who was married just a few months ago, who rented Tux's from another Business (not Rose). Our Tux's (from Rose) looked better, had 2 additional days of rental (we didn't have to pick-up/return within a 24 hour period), and were about 50% less in price. Worst wedding experience ever . The men's vests were all way too small, ties too short, and most of the pants didn't fit as they were way too short. When we went in for our fitting we went as a group and told The young girl they would all be wearing boots. She was not interested in the least. She made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. She clearly did a very poor job. Then when my daughter returned her dads Tuxedo and her husband's she told them about all of the problems and the young guy working said well that's just how it is. Unfortunately, we know better. Won't use Rose Tuxedo Mesa again or recommend them to anyone. The lower price isn't worth all of the hassle and not having all of the pieces you need in the correct size. Ridiculous. read more

I was very disappointed, with Roses because out of 8 of wedding attendance, only 2 of the tuxes fit. The rest were all to small. An had to be fixed a day before the wedding. Then some of our attendances that lived out of town wanted to drop off there tux's before leaving out of town , on the weekend an they wouldn't let them return them. Until Monday. Which I did fit them. But 2 of our attendances were able to return on that Friday. It did not make sense to me. read more

This place had an amazing price of only $69.99 for our tuxedos. They also has exactly the colors and look we wanted. My groomsmen and our father's tux's were perfect. However, when my husband arrived at our venue and put on his tux, he noticed it had not been dry cleaned from the previous person who wore it. It smelled soooo bad of B.O. and cheap cologne. The side pant pocket was completely ripped open and one of the cufflinks was broken. It smelled so bad, my poor husband threw them in the sink at the hotel and tried scrubbing it clean before the wedding. I told the owner hoping maybe I'd get some sort of money back. Nothing. Instead he blamed it on the dry cleaner and said it wasn't B.O., it was the chemical they used to clean it. It clearly was B.O.!! It was right in the armpits!! I wanted my husband's tux to be perfect, and here his was the crappiest one out there. read more

Rose Tuxedo really came through for me on my wedding day on 4/13/13!!! So back in January I went to Men's Wearhouse (boo!!) for my wedding tuxedo's for 1 big reason (or so I thought it was a big reason) that I lived in San Francisco and would be getting married in Arizona. Additionally, my best man was in SF while the rest of my Groomsmen were in Arizona. I thought for sure it would be best to go to a national location where we could all get measured locally and pick everything up in Phoenix. I finally got everything picked out and gave the price to my Groomsmen...who promptly freaked out ($236). My brother decided that give Rose Tuxedo a call since he was married about 5 years prior and he said they were great from him. Lo and behold...Mark (I think he's the owner?) told my brother that he would get us such a close matching design of what I picked that we wouldn't even be able to tell. He said "Trust me, we get these requests all the time - especially from people who come from Men's Wearhouse. If I can't figure out what it looks like from pictures, I'll go to MW myself and get a look!" - love that dedication and confidence. Mark got back to us with a final cost of exactly what I had picked out: $107 - holy crap, less than half!!!! Mark let us know that getting measured anywhere would be easy and should be free, and gave us a brief of the type of measurements to expect. We sent down our measurements, and I have to admit I was a bit nervous but decided to run with - and boy am I glad I did. When we showed up to pick the Tux's up the day before the wedding, I had the same color vest as all of my groomsman, and my shirt didn't fit quite properly. Mark, without skipping a beat, took full responsibility for the vest/tie not being separate color (even though we never even told him) and not only fixed that and a properly fitting shirt within minutes, but got me a fantastic looking vest that really popped and looked amazing. Mark seems to really keep up with modern styles, and keeps great stock of many options/colors just for people like me! Me and my groomsman all looked great, and got compliments throughout the evening on how sharp the tux's were. Mark did an outstanding job of matching exactly what I had picked, and most importantly put me at ease during a very nervous and stressful time. Oh, and he's funny too! I cannot say enough about Rose Tuxedo, and Mark specifically for their professionalism, flexibility, and dedication to their craft. Rose is less than half the price of the major chains and you'll look twice as sharp. A tiny, little shop, Rose feels family-owned. My groomsmen, my father, father-in-law, and I all got fitted and dressed by Rose for my wedding and we looked fantastic. On top of great suits and tuxedos, the staff is extremely professional. No joke, I lost 25 pounds between getting measured and picking up my tux two months later. They altered my tux on the spot. I really wanted a three-button jacket originally, but after losing so much weight, the tailor had to move the buttons. After doing so, I felt the jacket hid my vest, so I switched to a two-button after making him do all that work. Did he say anything? Not_a_word. He just smiled and agreed that if I liked the two-button better, I should go with that. Last-minute shoe changes for two people were thrown into the mix and not an eyelash was batted. If you need a tux, go here. I'll never go to a national chain again. These people care and they deserve your business. read more

BAIT AND SWITCH IS WHEN YOU ADVERTISE A SPECIAL PRICE OR PRODUCT THAT DOES NOT EXIST AND THEN SWITCH THE CONSUMER TO A MORE EXPENSIVE ITEM OR SERVICE. Try to get a 59.95 special with these crooks. Not going to happen. We were told that deal expired, yet it is on their facebook, website, and voice mail. We left and refuse to do business with these thieves. However on a positive note, we found a great place with better service, better quality, and lower prices than Rose will give you. (you'll never get the 59.95 special) I highly recommend you check out Elegant Reflections at 930 W Southern in Mesa. It is just around the corner from Rose and way better. We were treated great, got exactly what was promised, and shoes and all $85.00. Rose tried $140.00 for the same thing, after refusing to honor the special. read more
