Not sure if this is the same owner as Famous Pizza, but it is very similar and similar menu. The chicken pesto pizza is delicious. Small size is plenty for one. Service was a little better than last time I visited. Maybe because I walked in and immediately asked for the staff's attention as they stood staring at the wall.

    Roast beef

One of the best roast beef sandwiches on the north shore. Picks up right where courtyard left off

Supposed to be a large beef but it is a small instead.

Small sandwiches. I ordered two large roast beef sandwiches and after getting home, it's a regular sized burger roll with 4 ounces of meat. I have had large beef sandwiches from the Groveland store and these are pathetic. The curly fries were burnt. How would I know until I get home the portion has been downsized? Not happy with this order. They are new to the area and it looks like not making a good impression.

Sandwich container of salad for $12.55

Our family has been consistently visiting Pomodori's for several years. We find the pizza and roast beef to be nice treats at the end of a busy day. Well, tonight I ordered a small steak tip salad. When I opened the bag, I was shocked to see the smallest $12.55 salad ever. I truly thought it was a mistake. Most side salads dwarf my little container of lettuce. I will visit Pomodori's again, but will stay away from all their salads. (Large steak tip salad was close to $19.00) I will sit down in a restaurant and enjoy my dinner salad for a price that will probably beat Pomo's.

I was excited to check out the replacement for Courtyard Roast Beef, which was kind of a Newburyport institution. Unfortunately I came away a bit disappointed. I'll start with the good: The pizza was good, fresh tasting and well made. The interior is awesome, definitely a huge improvement from the last place. There's like 6 TVs or something which is kind of funny for a smaller place but it's not necessarily a bad thing. Now for the negatives. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad, and got a chicken kebob salad. It was like that on the receipt too so seems like they didn't pay attention. I wouldn't really mind but the salad was quite mediocre. Not that a salad from a New England pizza place is ever spectacular, but they were a bit stingy with everything except the iceberg lettuce. The fries were the worst part though. Super undercooked with no salt. I understand this was one of their first days being open but it's pretty easy to tell when fries aren't cooked. I'll be giving this place another try in the future, and hopefully they'll have worked out the kinks.

Thanks for leaving the label on the pepper, really?

So my chicken kebab salad proudly displayed a red pepper with the label still attached. Really? I'd of thought there's some sort of quality control that not only takes the labels off, but also washes the pepper. So did they wash the pepper, probably not. Although this is not surprising as it's the same place that spins the monitor around to scam a 15% -25% tip for what? Leaving labels on unwashed peppers prior to cutting them up! Come on, wake up! Do better.

Great pizza selection. Lots of options. A little pricy but worth it. Would recommend.

Best NS Beef hands down. Isle that they have different sauce choices like horseradish.

Living in Portsmouth NH, very near a place well known for its cheesesteak subs, I began a quest…read moresome time ago to find the best cheesesteaks in the region. Southern Maine to Northeast Massachusetts was to be the "zone". It took a long time and a lot of calories, but our search came to an end today. To be the perfect cheesesteak, we required a soft roll, high quality meat that wasn't a frozen, chopped product, , enough cheese to taste but not overwhelm the meat, and fresh, not frozen or canned toppings. I'm a mushroom and onion guy while the wife prefers peppers and onions. We also sought just basic, good fries with them. No seasoning or the stucco product a famous chain used or maybe still uses. Port Pizza, located in a semi hidden spot in the far end of a strip containing market Basket and Marshall's met all of our requirements to perfection, and then some. I believe this is the best cheesesteak on the seacoast, and I've tried far too many. Their service was excellent and friendly, and it appeared they genuinely appreciated our business. The restaurant, with maybe a half dozen booths for seating was clean, especially the restrooms. There is ample free parking and there is excellent HP access with not 1 but 2 ramps, plenty of width, and access to those same restrooms. Overall, 4.9 rating. Worth the trip to find, and you won't leave dissatisfied. Side note: We intend to return for what appeared to be the perfect thin crust pizza, but that's a visual opinion, not from experience, yet!
