As we entered the room I noticed right away the coffee table was nicely decked out with Keurig coffee, along with wine glasses and a corkscrew. To top it off, it came with exactly 4 bathrobes and a beautiful balcony view. The next day, we approached breakfast at the restaurant they have downstairs. I ordered an omelette, I was a little hesitant because I prefer real eggs over liquid eggs. And so anyway my meal was great to say the lease. My boyfriend and I stayed 2 nights/3 days at Ponte Vineyard Inn 8/9/19-8/11/19. We have thoroughly enjoyed Ponte Vineyard Inn in the past and we think the property is stunning; however, the customer service was atrocious this past weekend and we ultimately regret booking at this property. After talking to several random employees on the property during our stay, it seemed fairly obvious that the Ponte Vineyard Inn management team is fully aware of the fact that the Inn is not properly staffed with enough employees to efficiently run the Inn as any type of luxurious retreat. Some examples: - Housekeeping did not make it to our room once during our stay. The bed was never made, trash never taken out, new towels never supplied. There was also a light fixture that was out in our bathroom. This kind of service is unacceptable. - Yes, the poolside bar and cafe are closed for what employees said was renovation as well as the Cellar. Neither was told to us upon booking. Zero attempt was made to make up for the lack of drink/food service at the pool. We had to go into the reception area to purchase a bottle of rose for the pool. The bottle was not opened for us, nor was it poured into a carafe. On the second day guests were told they had run out of buckets with ice. So if you enjoy drinking warm rose at the pool, have at it! - The service at Bouquet and the small drink cart nearby is comical. One waiter, one bartender. All of our orders were wrong. - We ran into a "blogger/influencer" on the property who boasted that she had been "comped" the entire weekend to stay at Ponte, essentially to post pictures and advertise for the Inn. Although I respect bloggers, I was speechless at the fact that we paid nearly $800 for subpar service, yet this blogger is given a free trip. Ponte Vineyard Inn is advertised as a "Top-10 hotel in the US as rated by TripAdvisor" and I would beg to differ. I do not expect perfection, I understand things go wrong but when we pay nearly $800 for 2 nights/3 days at a "Luxury Four Diamond Accommodation", we expect to receive Luxury Four Diamond Accommodations and Ponte Vineyard Inn fell extremely short of anything luxurious this past weekend. I have attempted to contact Sarah Martinez, the Hotel Manager without any success. I have emailed her reference the issues we encountered and I am patiently waiting for a response. I wanted to make her aware of the issues at Ponte Vineyard Inn; however, based on casual conversations with employees on the property, I think she and her management team are well aware of the problem. Based on their customer service, I'm sure I'll get the same generic apology from "Chelsey B. Business Manager" that everybody else has gotten on their Yelp reviews. As I lay here, wide awake for the last hour or two - I guess it will help me get this off my chest maybe I can sleep if I just say what is driving me nuts. Cockroach This is a beautiful hotel with sweet staff and I was excited to spend around $400 to stay. It's my anniversary and last minute we came to do hot air balloons. It took 3.5 hours to get dinner tonight so we got in way late and were exhausted and fell into bed. At which point i felt a squirm on my arm, brushed it off, turned on the light and saw a little cockroach scrambling away under the bed. We had to call for a 4:30 wake up and I mentioned it to staff who offered to send up a cleaning crew. The room is spotless, it just is an outside room and i bet someone left the door open on a recent visit. No cleaning crew at nearly midnight thanks- i wish she offered us a new room. That i would have said YES to immediately. I fell asleep from sheer exhaustion. Woke up at 2:15 am because the air is SO LOUD and struggling. And i have been awake for a couple hours despite really trying to sleep through the air noise. The sheets are so bleached they nearly feel electric if you know what I mean and i keep thinking there are bugs on me, every time a lock of my hair touches my neck i think it is a bug- and- the bed is a rock. So i am trying to imagine I am camping because Bugs/ hard surface are normal when camping. But I am not. I am supposed to be in a fine hotel. The hotel is beautiful. I LOVED this room when i came in. I look forward to walking around tomorrow- but the combo of starched sheets creating little electric charges i think might be bugs on a rock hard bed that had a cockroach in it with blaring squealing air makes this no bueno for me. It's a miserable sleeping environment.ug my wake up call is in Ten minutes now. Horrible horrible experience. Hot loud and icky. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Ponte Vineyard Inn! Just spent 24 hours there...and here are all of the deets you need! We booked on a whim as we were staying in San Diego and was dying to check out this area. Called the hotel directly and booked over the phone...super sweet gal and was very accommodating...said she had a room ready for us right away! So we made the beautiful drive there, albeit a little HOT in Temecula area...still better than the constant Seattle rain! Plenty of parking! GORGEOUS GROUNDS and entrance! See pics!! Check-in was a breeze! Here is our only complaint...the pool bar was closed mid-week, so no options to have a drink at the pool. But the front desk did suggest that we could grab a couple drinks from the restaurant before they closed at noon (strange time to close) or grab a drink in the gift shop. So we grabbed a couple of hard seltzers from the gift shop and a couple (very spendy) drinks from the restaurant. I did ask for a way to keep the drinks cool at the pool, and they provided us with a bucket with ice - which worked perfectly!! So we went to our room and quickly changed into our swimsuits! We wanted some down time in the beautiful sunshine. Did I mention how gorgeous the grounds are?! Truly breathtaking and IMMACULATE. So clean!!!! Lots of staff everywhere cleaning, painting, gardening...it was amazing! Before I forget, the room was so classy and has everything you'd need. The bed was out of a fairy tale...PLUSH! And the shower was large enough for four people...so luxurious! Okay..,the pool...clean and quite large...and barely anyone there. We loved our time at the pool! Would've been nice if they had music playing...and even more amazing if they had some sort of pool service for food or drinks. But I understand since it wasn't busy. we stayed two nights for a wedding, which was at a different venue. The rooms were nice. the ac was working well. the staff except for one employee were all just going through the motions. The bar closed at 8:30 pm on Friday and Saturday night. the Inn which is part of the vineyard offered no discounts for tastings. the sheets on the bed made you feel like you were sticking to them. One thing got me most upset. a woman slipped, fell and hurt her knee. she was given a bag of ice. later that night she asked if they might have an ace bandage. the night manager absolutely ignored her and blew her off. I asked him if they might have first aid kit. he blew me off too. that poor guest has no other options. the front desk did not like being questioned about our bill. my wife finally asked to have it printed out and went over. read more

We got checked in and into the room and we have a wine bottle waiting for us! What a great way to start a celebratory weekend for one of my best friends. The views are beautiful, even despite the construction going on. We had the extended room and the space was great for the 4 of us staying in here. The dresser spaces was useful for the stuff we had to hang up and we were able to lounge Friday night when we got here. We ended up going to to the Cellar Lounge which was relaxing and a fun atmosphere. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun place to stay in wine country. I had an absolutely fantastic stay here! Check-in was a breeze and the staff (especially Andre) was so welcoming and helpful. I was greeted with a glass of their moscato upon check-in, it was such a great treat and a nice kick off to my stay! The room was clean and spacious. I greatly appreciated relaxing color scheme and the guest slippers and robe. I really loved the patio, it's a shame that it rained during part of my stay so I was not able to use it more! The patio of my room opened up to the vineyard with the courtyard just around one corner and the pool just around the other corner. It made for a very lovely view that I enjoyed with coffee in the morning. A Keurig along with coffee, tea, creamer and sugar were provided in room so I didnt even have to step outside to get some coffee in me. Guest services continued to be helpful throughout my stay! Andre was very knowledgeable about the different wines offered helped me pick a delicious bottle of wine for my night in and his recommendation was completely on spot and much appreciated! The inn is absolutely beautiful. I took strolls through the grounds and walked to Ponte Vineyard and the tasting room. It was so serene and peaceful. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge. Our normal hotel options do not have a good option in the area so we had to do a little research. This place stood out for a few reasons. It is a beautiful property. It is in a great location. Their own winery is on site and there are a few others right next door. The reviews on the service were positive. There are dining options on site, including a great lounge. Lastly they offered a package that included a wine tour. The service was as advertised. From the moment we stepped into the lobby the service was attentive and genuine. It is simple, but offering a glass of wine at check in is a great touch. It sets a nice tone for your stay. The gentlemen checking us in rushed through for us so we could get over to their tasting room before it closed. We were glad he did because they have some tasty wines. Our room was nice. It had a quaint, classic feel. The best part for us was the large balcony overlooking the pond and vineyard. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was great. It had a large, glass walled shower. As part of our package there was a nice chilled bottle of bubbly waiting for us. The rest of the property is beautiful too. We took a few walks around and were happy with most everything we saw. The pond and fountains are a nice touch. There are several nice sitting areas too, inside and outside. I read some of the comments about this place being expensive for what you get. While I always would love to pay less for everything this place is priced fairly within reason for what you get. We will certainly stay here again on our next trip to the area. read more

The hotel is wonderful and the pool side fish tacos are amazing! They also left us a bottle of sparkling wine in our room on ice in honor of our celebration. That was truly thoughtful! Our wine tasting was very warm, I could NOT enjoy the wine Because it was served so warm, not even room temperature. I loved my last experience at Ponte in January, so we didn't think twice about spending our weekend there. My family had to stay here for a wedding. I have been to the winery many times but this was my first time to the hotel. The buildings, and grounds are beautiful. Beautiful views of the vineyard, hills, pond, and even the hot air balloons in the distance. The pool area is really nice as well. It was great to sit out, eat and drink or take a walk. It's also a very short walk to the winery which helps when all you wanna do is drink! Our room was nice. It was on the end near the pool. Great location and the patio was nice. I actually prefer the even numbered side to the odd. We did have our issues though. The first night I encountered a roach in our bathroom, yuck. I killed it and went back to bed. I didn't tell the wife but, she saw another one in the morning, double yuck. It freaked her out. The 2nd day, as we were getting ready to take showers in prep for the wedding, there was no hot water... Apparently the water heater broke. We were very lucky they were able to move us to another room. They were booked solid. On top of that, someone charged drinks to our room while we were at the wedding!...Sarah the manager and her staff were great though. They took care of the charges and made sure our new room was to our liking. On to the food! The food is good but do yourself a favor, if you are ordering breakfast, don't go to the breakfast bar. There is not much there. Cold mini bagels, soggy bacon and we had to wait 15 minutes just for scrambled eggs. The french toast, omelettes, etc. were very good though. The cellar lounge is really cool. Old school vibe, with all the drinks and food you want. While the hotel is beautiful, I think we experienced a mixture of bad luck and a lack of maintenance. I doubt all this would happen again if we came back. I would stay here again and give them another shot. read more

This is our favorite place to stay in the Temecula Valley, it is also one of the prettiest properties in the valley! We are definitely pleased that they allow pets - they are allowed in 4 rooms on the property and we loved the corner location and views of the vineyards. Nice, clean rooms with lovely patios. You can order your food and wine and sit on your private terrace or on the patio outside the restaurant. There are rocking chairs to sit in on the property, fire pits (which is where we enjoyed our breakfast one morning). The wine and pasta selection was good and delicious. You can take a horse and buggy ride for a price as well! We look forward to returning soon...our dog gave it 5 paws up! read more

Stayed before and was excited to return but this time the restaurants and bar all had different times if even open at all. Checked in on Sunday so most services closed until Friday for weekend and no price reduction or even tasting in winery. Then power went out last night and called front desk and said they sent message out Sunday of scheduled outage ...we had no message and not advised at check-in. Could have reminded guests again or left flyer by occupied doors this evening. A lot of new wineries with accommodations so unfortunately we will look at other options for next visit. read more

We were told about the lovely outdoor lunch restaurant they have on-site, but were not told we should make a reservation. So, after using our free wine tasting we thought we would grab a nice lunch, only to find out that it was a 1 hour 20 minute wait, at which time it also will be closing. We also saw quite a few open tables. This was on a Thursday afternoon, can't imagine what a weekend would be like. There are no other dining options for lunch and when we asked the front desk we were told our only options were to drive into town (which we couldn't after drinking and really shouldn't have been advised to do that after drinking at the winery) or walk next door to South Coast Winery or wait a couple hours until the Cellar Lounge opened and we could eat there. So, we walked next door. If it's going to be that busy, the front desk should really suggest reservations when recommending it as a dining option for guests. We mentioned this to the front desk but were told that they can never know if it's going to be busy or not. Not even that it's unusual, just could never know which leads me to believe that it can get that busy so reservations should have been recommended. If it weren't for this and the lack of dining options and underwhelming food that was available, it would have been 4 stars. read more

From booking to stay, we had a great time. Stopped in on a visit to the winery and the clerk arranged for us to view each type of available room for our stay, prior to booking. The rooms were set and she was able to place all three parties together. We chose an upstairs room with a small private patio facing the winery. Enjoyed morning views of nearby balloons and the peaceful vineyards! The shower is huge, the rooms are well appointed, and the beds are very comfortable. Ponte did not skimp on the Inn...everything was nice, well maintained, and the service was courteous, friendly, and accommodating. We ate at both the Inn and Winery restaurant and enjoyed both. Join the wine club and get a better rate on the room...it is worth it...never disappointed in Ponte wines! Only downside...watch the dust in the parking lot to the front...not paved. read more

We came to the Ponte Inn to wine-taste at some of the area vineyards and to use the hotel as a base for our balloon ride early in the morning. It's actually across the street from where we launched. We had an unfortunate incident the night we stayed there that might not have been avoidable due to the construction (more rooms and a pool) that our room's balcony faced. By the next morning, the hotel manager had taken care of us and we left happy with our overall experience. I'm glad they're building a pool area--I think that's one thing the Inn is missing. We tried the Ponte restaurant and did some wine tasting while we were there. They have a very large tasting room and seems very popular. It wasn't our favorite wine from Temecula, but it was pretty good. We enjoyed it. And the restaurant are outside the tasting room had decent food--a lot of options and was very comfortable. I am so incredibly impressed with this hotel. It is absolutely stunning. We are checking out today and we just went for a walk with our one-year-old around the hotel grounds at 6 AM and they are so peaceful. We stayed here for a romantic getaway and I can't tell you how in love we fell with the place. The room was exquisite, bathroom large, clean, and spacious, having its very own mini Keurig, and we had a terrace to sit, relax, and lounge with a view of the vineyard. The check-in concierge was nothing but hospitable, serving us complimentary sparkling wine or water. We were also offered a complimentary bottle of wine in our room, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The food at the lounge (mini-bites that can be sent directly to your hotel room) did not "wow" me. We tried their lobster bisque and flat bread. The lobster bisque came out hot, but had pinky-sized pieces (to the size of an infant) lobster; the soup lacked a "this is an amazing" factor - it tasted watered down & needed salt. The flat bread (mozzerella, mushrooms, and artichoke) was tasty but the bf thought it was a tad too heavy on the mushrooms (although I love mushrooms so I was ok with it). This was good, not great. We also tried the Ponte Florella and an Italian import. The Italian import was a big-bold red, which the bf loved, but my Ponte Florella (which was supposed to have sweet & citrus notes) tasted a bit like water. This is an update to a recent review. I was provided a gift card to give them another go. I figured to properly differentiate my experiences, I should order the same items (even though the thought of a crab omelette sounded amazing): bloody mary & corned beef hash. Even my server was the same: James. He did his same great spiel of offering add ons, suggesting dishes, and spouting the pluses of each ordered dish. He was very attentive, as before. I ordered a bloody mary, but instead of them making it, I was given the option of going to a bloody mary bar! Yes please! The mixes were very nice. There was fresh horseradish, an assortment of hot sauces, teriyaki beef jerky, and other traditional accompaniments (olives, celery, etc) as well as necessary seasonings (celery salt & garlic salt). My bloody turned out delicious. One of the better ones I've had. The food came out and there was a noticeable difference from my last experience. Instead of discernable chunks of meat and potato, I now had an actual HASH! The potatoes were cooked perfectly, the corned beef was tender, and the heirloom tomatoes were just as yummy as I recalled. But I still drooled.... my partner's crab omelette was so creamy with the Boursin cheese being a nice compliment to the chunks of blue crab. Fresh spinach was a good addition too. The meal was perfect. Also as before, the free muffin was a great start. My partner complained about wanting butter, but in my opinion it's moist enough to eat without it. All meal we both kept commenting on the ambiance. When I made the reservation, my partner insisted on indoor seating. However, I knew how beautiful it was outside so that's where I requested our seating. The views are amazing. Vines galore with a backdrop of mountains and the cascade of fountains. The products within the room stay to their theme of being Eco-friendly and earth conscious. We stayed in late June for my fiancé's 30th birthday. The staff was extremely kind and attentive. We had dinner at The Bouquet as well as breakfast. I highly recommend both. At night we visited the Cellar Lounge, which Friday and Saturday nights a live band is playing. My husband and I enjoy a good wine and stay. The view is one of a kind from our room. This is a place to go if you like a beautifully up-kept Spanish feel scenery. Food is delicious and location is great. We yesterday went to have brunch on 8-3-20 at the poolside cafe in the morning and had an amazing experience. It was a full house and were nervous walking in but was attentively greeted from an employee Martha who made our experience one of the best. We fell full of admiration for her. She not only greeted but she was our server/bartender/busser. Martha did it all and she did it exceptionally. She was the only employee taking care of all the restaurant. We want to commend her for the outstanding job she did what a hand full of others wouldn't be able to. Management needs to acknowledge this young woman for her work ethic and respectable/outgoing personality. Thank you. The previous night on 8-2-20, we had gone to the poolside to have some drinks and food but was not fully satisfied with that visit. Andrea was the employee we didn't agree with. She has a phoney attitude and doesn't know how to make a good drink. Her image does not fit good for the winery scenery. The food ordered was prepared in a timely manner and was very well seasoned. The calamari was tender and couldn't have been served better. Salads were well dressed and the heirloom tomato tart with burrata was very much enjoyed. The veal chops were a hit - and I modified mine with no issue from the kitchen. Ponte vineyard inn has a special place in my heart, it's where my hubby and I stayed our wedding night after our dream winery wedding, and we returned for Valentine's Day and will be returning for our anniversary. We're wine club members so we love that we get to enjoy a discount on our stay and of course is so close to the winery next door. Customer service- incredible the entire staff goes above and beyond to make you feel like a VIP. I love the extra touches such as a glass of moscato at check in or a personalized note in your room if you are there to celebrate Room quality - the rooms are tastefully decorated and the beds are so comfortable! I've always had a great view and location. I personally don't mind having a shower vs tub, and love that the shower is oversized. Love that they offer keurigs in every room! Things to do- check out the cellar lounge! It has a great atmosphere and has a full bar. We celebrated after our wedding with close family and friends and everyone had a great time, live music plays on weekends. Love how close you are to not only pints winery but also wines and south coast and the onsite restaurants are tasty! This is truly the best place in the Temecula Valley, even though we live in the area we always feel like we have been on vacation after our stay. Great hotel but, the service is hit or miss, which is discouraging because it isn't cheap to stay here. On average as a wine club member the nicer rooms are $350.00 a night. I feel that's a bit high considering the bar closes at midnight, food stops at 11pm, room service is limited and doesn't start until 5pm and also includes no breakfast. Lunch/dinner only. Not really practical because the hotel is often busy. There is no spa, they just opened a mediocre pool area with no cabanas, or resort style amenities. As well as only 2 restaurants on site that are never open at the same time. When one closes the other opens, but you can grab a bite in the cellar lounge which is pleasant on the nights that have live entertainment otherwise again, pricey for what you get. Example: a glass of wine (at a winery, which should be plentiful for wine) will sometimes come in a small wine tasting glass or a nice elegant large glass, the pours are not the same but the price is. As for the hotel rooms, high ceilings, newer style, no lingering odors, great soft linens, but the patio is bare and needs warmth from some decor. The view though from certain rooms can certainly make you forget the $350 per night price tag. You can exit your room on the patio and enjoy a relaxing but short walk through the vineyards. The rooms are also pretty sound proof so you aren't hearing every door slam and conversation through the walls. Housekeeping is a bit annoying when they come knocking like policemen 12 minutes past checkout and again at 20 minutes past as well as entering the room with the equivalent of the do not disturb sign clearly on the door. Your relaxing and expensive stay could quickly escalate to anxiety and forcibly being rushed with their persistence. They need better training on professionalism but the rooms are cleaned well. Overall a nice getaway and we like being wine club members but I hope they address the flaws because it could be a much better experience with some much needed tweaks. In the meantime my mind is left wandering about the possibility of better accommodations at the other nearby winery's. read more

Loved this beautiful boutique hotel! Very private and comfortable! I have never slept in a more comfortable bed at a hotel! The French doors and private balconies/patios were so refreshing! The bathroom was luxurious and spacious! Gorgeous grounds & helpful friendly staff. Great restaurants and winery!! I honestly can't wait to return next year!!
