Purchased our new Brinkley Z2900 from Pontiac because we had heard good things about them. The sales team was awesome. Always made us feel important. We did take the coach back in for a few minor repairs and was extremely impressed with the service department. Their communication was on point and the turnaround time was excellent. A service tech spent time talking to us and answering questions in the parking lot while showing us things we weren't sure about on the rig, and our truck. We never felt rushed or unheard. The work that was done was fantastic! We have had other RVs from other dealers and found ourselves going back multiple times for the same repair. Pontiac took care of everything to perfection. Service any RV regardless where it was purchased. I had 2 Recalls to be completed on a Grand Design 2022 Imagine RV. John from Service said they could not do it because I did not purchase the RV from them. They are a Grand Design Dealer. John mentioned they have had issues getting paid for Recalls from Grand Design. Sounds like the required calls were not made prior to service. I've heard this about this Dealership. If you did not buy it from them they will not service it. read more

We are traveling to Wisconsin, and were flagged over by a passing driver. Our 2017 5th wheel toy hauler lost a bolt on the tank support it was dragging and sparking. We called our Coachnet Insurance they directed us to Pontiac RV 4 miles away. We tied it up with my husband's belt and called. It was 2:30 on a Monday. They said they couldn't see us that day, but could the nect day. WTH?!! A bolt?!? It's the day after Easter. Maybe they need to refocus on being good humans. read more

I have to save that the service department is possible the worst I have ever had to deal with! We purchased a brand new coachman travel travel from the dealership and on our first trip our slide out did not work and we found some other problems with the camper. Took it in for service and they fixed the slide out and seem to forget the other items on our list. They left off panels and the inside was left dirty. Nothing like having to fix it yourself after you spend a lot of money on a unit. The best part is we wanted to upgrade to a bigger unit ! Will not be buying from them. read more

Bought my camper in 2014. It appears they sold me a prototype of a new model Outback with a super slide. So many things have gone wrong with it to date including: Faulty circuit board that doesn't support the refrigerator, faulty non working water pump, out door kitchen door doesn't have plastic under lying support like on all other models/campers. so it is just the gas springs screwed into particle board and the broke off as well as the particle board door is warped given lack of structure, when I went to refill the gas tanks they gave me a used gas tank that expired 3 years after I purchased the camper vs. a new one, One of the windows is complete shifted and there is a whole where you can see out by the frame of the window, the clean water drinking input spout doesn't fit the hole properly which allowed water to enter and compromised the integrity of what I am assuming is particle board flooring, the entry door to the camper doesn't operate properly with the screen door so you either have to hold the handle or slam the door to shut it each time(PIA), the awning operates at a very slow pace where the salesman told me it was a safety feature, i've seen many new campers and this is not true so he basically lied to me to make the sale. One important item to note is that this camper is on a permanent site. I can't imaging all the things that would be wrong if i traveled a lot and it had to endure the bumps of the open road. Buy elsewhere and make sure you get an extended warranty and commitment from a reputable dealer that they will address your problems. After noticing construction issues on my trailer and calling Pontiac RV, the only support I got from them was they could fix it but i'd have to tow it to them and pay for all the crap that was not done properly when it was manufactured. read more

Unethical repairs! We had Pontiac RV repair our motor coaches roof a few years ago. It cost $700 to have the old caulking removed and replaced with new. We retired and moved to Florida recently and during our move noticed our roof started leaking. We took it in for repairs here and found out Pontiac didn't remove the old caulking and just caulked over the old. Shame on you Pontiac RV. You knew we were too elderly to climb up on the roof to check your work, so you did a halfway job and charged full price. Just count your lucky stars that it's not worth the drive to Illinois to tell you off personally! Family owned my foot...if this is your family way, I'm thankful I'm not related!!! read more

I am shocked to read negative reviews as we have had nothing but great service and communication from sales to service. There were things that went wrong and they fixed them quickly and effectively. Their service department always calls back quickly and is very friendly. Our sales man was also great. We were deciding between an RV and a trailer and explained what we do and where we go and he suggested not to spend the extra money and go with the trailer, then see how we like that after a couple years. Spot on and we love our Cougar trailer. Service is a fact of life with RVs and trailers, but this service department rises to the occasion every time. Would absolutely buy there again! read more

We purchased a brand new RV from Pontiac RV. Within 48 hours, it broke down. Their service department wouldn't answer the phone, nor would they call back. They made it absolutely miserable for us. Part of our repairs were paid by Ford, but we were left holding the bag for all of the expenses we had to incur (rent a vehicle, hotel, etc). We would never recommend a company like this with such terrible service. read more

Do not buy a new RV from this dealership. We purchased a brand new RV, with promises and assurances from the salesman that our Ford F150 would pull it with no problems. Well, as soon as we drove away we noticed towing issues and soon realized that our truck could not pull this trailer. TWO DAYS later we insisted that Pontiac RV take the trailer back and they refused. After months of arguing, we lost, and were stuck with this overpriced piece of junk. My advice: save thousands by buying a nice, used RV from a private owner. There are tons of them out there. You can easily get a loan from a bank or credit union. My brother called his RV service to schedule some repairs following his 5 month road trip. After 30 minutes on the phone he was finally able to schedule something for late May, early June. I phoned my dealer, Pontiac RV, and they invited me to drop it off same day and they will get right on it. That has been my experience with Pontiac RV. I love that they usually do not schedule appointments but prefer first come first serve. That gives them and us great flexibility and I can always get my RV for service without all the brain damage I get from other dealers. Even if they keep my RV a few days to complete repairs I'm still way ahead of other dealers. My wife is already looking at a larger fifth wheel. If we decide to trade up we are definitely going back to Pontiac RV. We live 2hours away but it's worth the drive and we've actually have come to enjoy our trips to lovely Pontiac Illinois. In two occasions we took Route 66. It was a blast from the past. We ate at a Route 66 diner and we visited some old establishments along the way. I especially loved stopping at an old time hardware store where I picked up a few handy items. read more

The sale part went fine very well in fact but it's after the sale when you really need their help that this dealer fails. Overworked, not enough technicians or unorganized I'm not sure but I'm thinking mostly unorganized. It's the same story every time we are so busy it will be 3 weeks. You would think they would know there is only so much camping time. I have been back 3 times for the same problem and it still is not completed. I can't believe they put things on the work order as completed or replaced and it wasn't. I am very disappointed and not sure what to do. I guess I will at least contact the hitch manufacturer direct because the dealer will sell it take your money but don't seem to know how to make it work right. AVOID Pontiac RV's Service Department like the plague! I brought our 2018 Keystone Cougar (which we bought from them brand new in March of 2018) in for WARRANTY service work on February 23rd. I wrote down a list of everything that needed to be fixed on the camper, and was promised that everything would be taken care of. On March 22nd, I received a phone call that the camper was ready for pick up...everything on my list was repaired according to them. On that same day, my husband drove down ( 3 hr round trip for us) to Pontiac to pick it up. Once there, he walked inside and outside of the camper and noticed that some things weren't fixed that were said to be fixed: The roll metal on the drivers side was loose and flapping in the wind...this was not fixed. The fender skirt on the drivers side was coming off and needed to be replaced, but was not. A piece of wood trim inside by the fridge was chewed due to our teething puppy and was supposed to be replaced but wasn't. My husband was dealing with Service Advisor, Kate Goad, at this time and she said "we can get the roll metal and fender fixed now for you and will send you the wood piece for the interior." With the freezing temperatures that day, fixing the outer pieces were not an option due to the fact that the silicone that they would be using to seal it would need 24 hours to cure before making the 1 1/2 trip home in the cold. Needless to say, my husband went home without the camper and was promised that all of these issues would be resolved and the camper would be ready to go in about a week. On March 28th, I received a call that the camper was 100% ready to go this time and that they would cover the cost for the replacement wood piece. On April 5th, I called around 4:45 pm to see if they could leave the camper outside out their gate on Saturday night, so we could pick it up on Sunday. I also asked if they could ensure that the battery was charged so the electric jack will work so we can get it onto our truck. Well, I didn't receive a call back, so I called them again on Saturday April 6th around 10am. I spoke with the receptionist in the service department and asked if it was ok to be left out front and that the battery would be charged and explained that it needed to be otherwise we could not get it onto our truck. She ensured that it would be. I also asked for her to have Mike call me to ensure this. Mike called about 15 minutes later, I missed his call, but he left a message and said it will be outside and ready for pickup Sunday morning. I called back to speak with him, but no answer, so I spoke with Kate Goad (Service Advisor) and I asked again if everything was fixed, and she said YES. I also asked again if the battery would be charged so the jack will work, and I explained if it doesn't work that we cannot get it onto the truck, and she PROMISED me that it will be charged and ready to go. I took her word... Sunday, April 7th we go down to pick up our camper. We get there and guess what...THE BATTERY IS DEAD AND THEREFORE THE JACK WOULDN'T WORK!! On top of that, the roll metal that was supposed to be resecured, WAS NOT! Lastly, the fender that was supposed to be replaced, WAS NOT, instead cheaply improvised with 2 washers behind the screws to hold the fender on. Also, dirt was tracked inside. Luckily, we had the manual crank for the electric jack with and were able to get it onto the truck, because we WERE NOT making a 3rd trip back down to get it! This last situation was not the only issue I've experienced with their service department. This past summer, the air conditioner was not working properly. Brought the camper in, they called when it was ready- said they recharged the air and it was good to go. Well, that was a lie. We were in Texas and the air conditioner started freezing up again...same issue as before. I am extremely frustrated and upset with Pontiac RV's Service Department. Obviously, there is a communication problem between the office and the technicians and it needs to be addressed! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AVOIDING THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT! read more

I would give negative stars if it would let me. Bought a Keystone travel trailer Brand New off the lot to find out not 2 years later that the trailer had Delamination that was started on their lot due to the fact that the factory did a poor caulk job and Pontiac RV never inspected this and found that when the trailer was dropped at their dealership. So now the factory and Pontiac RV say it's the customer responsibility to ck the caulk every 3 months. Nobody tells you that small fact at time of purchase and who would think that a trailer you have used only one full season would have issues like that. And then even tho the factory and Pontiac RV agree the caulk needs to be repaired and it is the original caulk it's "too bad" you didn't notice before damage was done. Will NEVER purchase from Pontiac RV again. And definitely will NEVER purchase another Keystone product. read more

I bought a new trailer from them, and they took care of a warranty issue and always answered all my questions. I bought an RV (from a private buyer) and they also answer all my questions. Would highly recommend the service department at Pontiac RV. We were on a short trip, in our RV and our water pump stopped working, which meant we were AOL for using the bathroom, washing up or taking a shower. We were told initially that they were so busy that it would take two weeks to schedule service and we would have to leave the RV. We were 200 miles from home and had no other transportation. We explained our situation, and Buck said he would see what he could do. Kevin, the service manager was very accommodating. We received courteous, professional, and prompt service, to fit us in so we could continue on our trip. We were on our way within three hours. Received outstanding service from Buck, the service writer, Kevin, the service manager, Logan, the technician, and Jamie in the parts department. Took our ."RV for service where treated poorly they had the unit for a month and never called to let us know what was going on. When we finally called to find repairs done we told them when we would pick up the day before we called again to let them know on pick up we found the camper still disassembled from repairs. We really like our RV and would purchase again. They are a good dealer to work with. The RV carpet was loaded with dog hair. We were told it would be professionally cleaned. The air filter was completely plugged. I was told that it would be inspected by a professional mechanic. I don't think that was done. The drive belt shield was hanging by one bolt and almost dragging the ground. The outside and dash was clean. The back up camera was wired improperly. It runs the battery down in 3 days. Well let me start out by saying that the buying of this brand new 2016 Coachmen Toyhauler went very well. I bought it brand new in January and I felt like they treated us well. But what i have learned is that a business is is not measured by the sale but by they way you are treated when there is an issue with your purchase. If this review was merely about the sale it would have been at least 3-4 stars. But unfortunately this business showed their true colors upon me needing to contact them for major issue with my brand new unit. Now as i said, i bought this unit in January, brand new. I was asked if I want it winterized and i said "yes, since we will not use it till summer". So we completed the purchase, they hooked me up and I pulled it home. We finally were able to use it in May. We planned a nice weekend, ordered tickets for several fun things to do and set off. We pulled it 3-1/2 hours to our destination. Pulled in dropped it, hooked everything up and was gonna enjoy our weekend. 5 minutes or so later i go back outside to find lots of water running out thru the bottom of the unit. I immediately went and shut off the water, then i went investigating. It took me a few minutes of course to get the panel off where the water heater is under the bed and found that a valve was broken. Now on campers that means typically that it was not winterized properly and there was water left in the valve and when this water freezes it expands and the valves break. Now without even have slept in it one time my brand new camper has now had the front end and the insulated enclosed underbelly flooded. At this point we are very discouraged and disappointed so we packed up and drove 3-1/2 hours home. The weekend was ruined. 5 hours later there was still water dripping from the underbelly so obviously alot of water ran into the underbelly and I would assume ruined the insulation inside and any other electrical components enclosed in there. So I contact Pontiac RV. Their first reply was that a service tech would get back to me in few days. Unacceptable. So I call the manager Mark, and he said he was familiar with my issue. Now my first question is if you are aware of this issue why isn't the manager calling me to see what they can do? So he tells me they have to treat it as warranty and follow the letter of the law. I requested a swap of this unit for an identical unit they have sitting in the yard. But he said they would have to contact coachmen and I should not expect an exchange. I asked why would i care if they have to contact coachmen, I bought my camper from you and you did not winterize it properly. i said exchange my brand new flooded unit for a non flooded unit sitting there then you take it up with coachmen. Why is this my problem? But they made it my problem. Anyway they did pick it up the next day, then few hours later i got email stating they fixed the valve and it was done they will deliver the next day. They did not say anything about drying out the floor or underbelly to ensure the will be no molding or delaminating of flooring, just fixed the valve and did not address water. Shove me on my way. I now have the camper in my possession. There was a mess left on the floor inside camper when it came back to me. The flooring still felt wet. They didn't tell me they hung the keys inside the water heater compartment I had to email them and get a response several hours later telling me where they were. I really do not feel appreciated as a customer. I was treated like I broke this valve and i was trying to get something for nothing. But all I wanted was my new camper to feel new and feel safe and healthy for my family which now it doesn't. It went from an enjoyable happy situation to a stress filled disappointing situation since I now have a new camper that has been flooded. So I will get rid of it and buy a different one just so i can feel it is new. The manager Mark actually said they would work out a deal to trade in on another one, but not exchange for the new one they had there, He would've actually been OK with letting me take a hit on this one to sell me another one! I have never been so insulted in my life. As with most who own campers we will upgrade again, but we wont buy here. Sure they'll treat like gold when you buy, but when it comes to keeping them accountable well then you are nobody, and that is how we feel, like nobodies, just another sale. So we will trade this in at another dealer and do our upgrades elsewhere where we can be treated well and our hard earned dollar we spend is truly appreciated. BEWARE if you buy here. read more

Bought our 5th wheel at Pontiac RV and brought it back for service. My husband did not walk around the rv and look 9'4" up at the top of the ladder when he picked it up. The rv was damaged and the top of the ladder was pushed thru the entire wall of the rv into the cabinet behind the ladder. This is the only place it could have happened. They did not admit it and then denied it - even tho I contacted the BBB. Warning: Always walk around and check the entire rv when picking it up. We will NEVER deal with Pontiac RV again. read more

We purchased Forest River R-POD 180 6/5/2017 and have only used once due to factory defects not being repaired in timely manner or even fixed. This unit has either been in repair or waiting for repair. Also the Service Mgr makes promises that are not kept. They had unit for 12 days after our initial purchase due to the refrigerator not working upon plugging into shoreline. At purchase inspection, we asked why refrigerator was not cold and was told it was working but was turned off by other employees. Dealer after 12 days and us making continuous calls for status told us refrigerator was now new. Brought unit home to find refrigerator did not work using gas, and discovered water leak at top of water tank under bed upon filling up with water. The unit was taken back for repair in 5 days and we picked up after being told it was fixed along with other defects- refrigerator, storage compartment locks, entry door misalignment.. Got unit home preparing to once again use on a family outing to find that water leak still existed under the bed. Dealer had cut a large hole in subfloor and removed foam insulation to where I could see outside. They have had the unit 10 more days and still not returned. Service Mgr had told us it would be returned yesterday. Never buy anything from this Dealership! Their business is built on sales, but have no reliable Service Dept nor Customer service after the sale. Service Mgr is part owner of the Company by the way. What does that tell you? read more
