Nice location and great patio. I have been here a number of times and food and drink are usually pretty good, more recently seems to have declined in quality. I don't usually write reviews often which this experience made me feel compelled to do so on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 around noon I went in to pick up a DoorDash order I confronted myself without being greeted to the employee she gave me attitude when I told her what I was there for and told me to wait a minute so I did that she said the order on the complete opposite side of the counter I was at and didn't even tell me it was done two minutes after standing there looking clueless she finally told me the order is on the counter there was no line it was not busy and she was not friendly at all if this is how you're going to run a small business good luck read more

We ordered take out sandwiches. Mine was turkey in a large cut of ciabatta bread with provolone cheese, tomato & lettuce. The turkey tasted a bit old--you know how if you have had turkey lunch meat too long it gets a strange flavor? The bread was very thick but porous so it was light. I've been here twice, and both times the service was slow which surprised me because they have a drive through. The drive through is very convenient and the staff is super friendly. Once when the line was longer, someone was standing outside taking orders. But both times it took me a while to get my order. Once I just ordered coffee and their coffee was good! It wasn't too sweet like Dutch bros tends to be. The second time I ordered food and they had me wait in the parking lot for my breakfast burrito to come out. It took about 30 minutes to get my order... there wasn't anything "express" about it. The name and the drive through give the impression it's gonna be a quick place you can stop for coffee and breakfast on your way to work. I was late that day. But I still give them 3 stars because the burrito was very good for something that came out of a drive through window. It was fresh! And again, the coffee is pretty good too! Much better than the other drive through coffee shops in town. If I had gone inside and had time to sit down and chill, I probably would have rated with more stars. But since I was in a hurry trying to use the drive though for quick convenience- I give it 3/5. I won't go back when I'm hurrying to work, but I will go back when I have time to sit and enjoy :) read more

They have great coffee and some gluten free options. You can bring your dog to the outside tables. They are dog friendly. Nice little seating area inside. Turkey Cranberry sandwich on gluten free bread is my favorite. My only suggestion is I would like a little more sandwich for my money. read more

If I could give no stars I would, two times asked for sandwich's not to be toasted and two times they come back toasted. They charge an extra 2.50 for bacon to be added on ok fine I will pay that but they give 1 slice ( which is a half a piece for each half of the sandwich) Then the last time I will ever go I get my sandwich toasted oh shall I say charred the focaccia bread was so black that it actually broke/cracked when I unwrapped the sandwich. Have lived in Southern Oregon for many years and have driven through Jacksonville thousand of times and past the restaurant but never stopped. Went there for breakfast today and I ordered the breakfast burrito add guacamole very affordable. Got home and unwrapped the burrito and it was huge, that's what she said lol. Had tons of melty cheese, hash browns, eggs and homemade yummy salsa. The burrito was so big I was only able to eat half. My boyfriend had the club sandwich and it was beyond delicious he gave me a bite and it was heavy with all the yummy ingredients in there. I would highly recommend this place. As we were waiting for our food lots of traffic so it's definitely a well liked place. read more

Don't have a drive through window if you aren't able to offer a drive through service. Ordered coffee and breakfast. Waited 45 minutes for the food. When it came I took a bite and realised it had loads of meat in it, since I'm a vegetarian I was pretty annoyed. Overall the staff didn't seem sorry about the wait or the food mixup. read more

Pony espresso is disgusting. It gave me a TERRIBLE matcha with almost full cream. There was a fly in my tea also. I am pissed I hate Pony and I can understand why it's a SMALL business. Pony espresso should work on its drinks before they let anyone drink there. I don't even know how someone can get a fly inside a cup of tea, absolutely disgusting. My matcha was gross I swear someone spit in it. To make things worse one of the employees barely had a mask on absolutely disgusting I will not be coming back. read more

I like Pony Espresso a lot. They have wonderful hot and cold drinks, excellent sandwiches, and yummy baked goods. There's an ample parking lot, lots of outdoor seating, and friendly service. We've had and loved the mudslide and iced mocha, BLTA, chicken wrap, and tuna melt (all are good sized sandwiches). There's also a drive thru if you're on the go. Pony Espresso has gone downhill with their service over the past two years. The food quality is still good but the service is horrible. In correct orders, long wait times, I've paid online and the order wasn't correct or ready after 1 hour. The cashier said she's unable to refund and check back later. It's a shame, this place was great pre-pandemic and they've not figured out how to get back to that level. This seems like a typical uppity Southern Oregon type of place. Overpriced food, way overpriced drinks and pastries and desserts... On top of having to pay extra for things that shouldn't even be considered extra (like chips or soup or salad to go with your food)... We got a roast beef sandwich thing and it was the weirdest sandwich I think I've ever had. It was roast beef (which looked exactly like the roast beef from any deli at Albertsons... hm) and some weird too-fancy-for-this-sandwich crumbly cheese that overpowered everything, and some kind of tomato... pesto spread? I think. All inside of obviously store bought white bread, that was toasted. None of the things in the sandwich seemed to go together at all. It was like someone went hey let's take these weird and random fancy sounding ingredients... and just throw it together between some bread... and call that ten bucks. And not offer a small bag of chips or anything. All that, on top of the food taking forever to get to us. No way it should have taken that long!! It wasn't that busy. Totally wouldn't come here again. Unless I was starving almost to death. Even then I could wait until I got home to Medford. The extra star is for the nice building, and the outside seating area. We had just gotten done with a dusty hike and they had some tables on a patch of nice cool grass, which was perfect for the dog. read more

I've had my share of good and bad experiences here. One waitress/barista in particular was argumentative with me once and then slowly over two years manages to be friendly now and again when I stop by once or twice a week for lunch. There are a few great items on the menu that I crave on the regular, yet their cinnamon rolls are ghastly-nasty. How in the heck can you mess up the pastry with the highest potential for deliciousness? They did, that's all I know. Nifty atmosphere with good wall art. Nice outdoor seating area. Super sloooooooowwwww drive through service so never visit in a hurry since they aren't fast food and the items are usually made with love. I really liked this place and was actually expecting something different when I walked in. It's more than a coffee place (they serve wine and beer, and also have a nice menu). I just got a soy chai latte and a slice of coffeecake. The latte was nice and creamy and perfectly spiced - very good. And the coffee cake had small bits of peach and blueberry and was absolutely delicious. I would definitely order that again. Also had a nice cinnamon topping - just the right amount, not too much. I hate when my coffee cake is loaded down with too much topping - this one was perfect. I also really liked the space. It was bigger than I expected and had plenty of seating both inside and out. They also had an awesome old stove in the middle of the place which I loved. I would have taken a picture, but there was a guy sitting in front of it, so maybe next time. Overall a great place to stop for coffee, lunch or a glass of wine. I'd highly recommend it. read more

It's a cool spot to hang out; they've got good coffee as well as a nice interior with pretty outdoor seating. I really like the fact that they also serve food and beer, so it feels like I could hang out there at any time of the day rather than just the morning. Would give ZERO stars if that was an option. We regularly go here and always tip very well. Decent stuff, although a bit overpriced for what you get. Very slow service on most days, orders are often wrong, and their employees frequently display bad attitude. We have given them many chances. We just had yet another incident with an employee being extremely rude, no apologies for a mistake made on an order, eye rolling, non-communicative. We are DONE. Mistakes happen, but they have lost our business permanently due to their continually horrible customer service. It seems that the business may be relying on being in a small town with not a lot of other options for coffee and food. Management needs to address the issue. read more

I've been stopping by for 20 years and unfortunately I'm really upset to find that my "dairy free hot cocoa" is made with a mix containing powdered milk! Really? When I was told the mix contains powdered milk I was outraged. Their comments were, "we make it with alternative milk, and you weren't sick were you, and it's "powdered" milk". When you sell a beverage as 'dairy free' that's exactly what it should be. 100 percent dairy free. Honestly, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that powdered milk is a dairy product. read more
