Most dishonest business owners I have ever met. Echoing the few reviews of losing hundreds to this company, We lost many thousands of dollars. My wife and I wish we never met Pony Express Pest Control as we paid up front for their promises, they took our money and did zero of what was promised. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with them. Any other company will be more honest and do a better job for you. Seriously! Extremely dishonest company. I was overcharged hundreds of dollars through their billing system. It has been over 3 months since they acknowledged the problem, and I am still owed hundreds of dollars. Pony express doesn't service my area but I called about an insect I found in my house, I sent a pic, they identified it for me, and gave me free tips on how to exterminate it. Talks a big talk, but the lack of results show for themselves. Even with over a year of monthly treatments I actually had a worse pest problem than when I started service. Carpenter Bees, Ants, Roaches, & Mice all appeared even with monthly treatments. As we discovered these pests we would bring it to the attention of the company and they were quick to respond "we'll take care of it", however, the pests are still present. I eventually started taking things into my own hands with mice traps, roach bait, ant poison... got to a point where I was questioning what I was paying this company for. There is no report on the services provided and communication is inadequate. Scheduling is another downside... they service when they are 'in the area' without any warning or heads up, you just get an invoice. My last straw was when I requested that my monthly service be skipped for the month a few days before the anticipated monthly service, a week later they show up without any communication, service the property, and send me an invoice. When I declined the invoice they reached out asking why, I told them I had requested the service to be skipped for the month, their response was - it's a new month... 4 days into a new month, and 7 days after I requested the skip. When I again declined to pay for the service that should've been skipped, the response was "I have been very fair to you coming out for no charge for the rodents in the garage, so please be fair to me"... when in fact it wasn't free, I paid for that service. Then it was followed up with "You did not send a cancellation request you sent a skip... skip and cancellation are two different things". The fact that they are resorting to nuances in terminology to defend their mistake and demand payment for a service that shouldn't have happened shows how unprofessional and negligent this company is, don't hire them. I have grudgingly decided to pay them for the last service they completed despite my dissatisfaction with how they operate their business and I have "cancelled" my service with them (I hope I am using the correct terminology). Surely those of you reading this will learn from my mistake of hiring this company and choose a better company that actually cares about customer service, quality, and character. read more

The folks from Pony Express were really wonderful to work with. Roberta was quick to respond to our inquiry. She set us up with an inspection right away. Doug who worked on our problem was very nice, efficient, and explained clearly what they were doing and why. They sealed all the spots that rats had found to get into the house. Next, they set traps and came weekly to inspect them. We haven't seen any sign of rats since.  Always on time, ready to answer any questions. I highly recommend them! read more

I want to emphasize the other review that said this is a dishonest company. I signed up for a service in May, was overcharged multiple times each month. I called the business, sent multiple emails and they do not respond. They did at one point acknowledge "accidents charges" but have not taken action to refund the charges. They will make sure to respond to the credit card company dispute but not work with me to refund their multiple overcharges that have resulted in hundreds of dollars for services not rendered. I still receive random charges from them that I have to dispute with my credit card company. I am a small business owner and would never want to hurt another business but this company is disorganized (telling me that I wasn't even in their system to do bi-monthly maintenance (but they are sure to charge for it). Do not sign up with them, they will charge you (and even overcharge) and not provide the service. read more

Extremely dissatisfied with this company. We originally contacted them for a one time service due those pesky little black ants. They came out and sprayed the outside and inside and the guy who came said that it will most definantly take care of them because he has the best chemicals that you don't have access to in the public. He said if we still are getting them after 10 days he would come back out. Still had them 10 days later. He came out and put some liquid down that they take back to the nest and is supposed to kill them. Well. A week or so later we had them still if not worse than the original time I had contacted them. I called him back and asked for a refund so I can take my money elsewhere as clearly what he was doing was not taking care of our problem and after spending $167.00 I would have appreciated not having any more ants. He said they do not do refunds but he would come out and spray again. So I said sure cause at this point what do I have to loose. So he comes out for a third time and sprays... needless to say a week later and we still have them! I know it's the season, but I expected some improvement after two sprays on the house and some liquid down.. but nothing. And they just contacted me to get on a bi-monthly service.... Now why would I continue to pay more money for something that clearly does not work. Seems absurd to me. Will not be using them again and will be looking elsewhere for our future pest control services. read more
