We LOVE Pony Tails...only problem is they are booked so far in advance! I guess that's what happens when you are a quality hair salon for kids. My husband has taken my beautiful curly haired son to two other hair cut places and they both butchered his beautiful hair, I don't trust anyone else but Pony Tails...and my husband is no longer allowed to take my son for a haircut. read more

I was scared to take my daughter as I thought she would scream and cry. When we got there she played with the toys and when it was her turn, hopped on the horse. I had serious doubts that anyone would be able to cut my son's hair for the first time, but decided we had to try and get rid of the mullet he had somehow grown. We arrived a bit early hoping to get him comfortable in the environment. Playing with all the toys worked at first, but it wasn't long until he knew something was up. He cried and held on to me for dear life (as expected), before Talyta even started on his cut. I was sure that this wasn't going to happen, but Talyta used her charm, patience, and worked her magic. He stayed fairly still and was happy for the rest of the appointment - a lollipop and his iPad helped also. We love this place and are so happy and thankful we were referred here by a good friend. Talyta is AMAZING!! My son hates hair cut and usually cries and screams with the clippers. (He's 19 months old) He also has A LOT of hair that needs to be layered so it doesn't grow out funny. Talyta has us come in 15 mins before our scheduled appointment and let's my son play and get use to the sounds and being in a salon. By the time it's his turn he does so well! Wonderful place for a kids haircut. I took my 11 month son for his first haircut before his first birthday party. The owner/stylist was so sweet and has a lot of experience cutting children's hair. With two kids herself, she knew how to keep my son happy playing with toys while she swiftly and gracefully cut his hair on my lap. I was impressed! The cut was great. I've been taking my kids to Pony Tails for haircuts for years and years. When they moved from Lafayette to Pleasant Hill, we followed. Linda and Talyta both do an excellent job on my kids' hair. Linda usually cuts Ella and Jack's hair and she pays great attention to detail, she is personable and always remembers what's happening in our lives and the kids love talking to her. Pony Tails is clean, bright, comfortable, and my kids love sitting on a pony while they get their hair cut. Their prices are reasonable and my kids hair always comes out looking great! Pony Tails is great. Talytha has been cutting my 8-year old daughter's hair since her very first haircut at age 1. More recently Linda has joined the team and cut her hair as well. The haircuts are great and the price is reasonable. What means the most to me, though, is how much they genuinely care about my child. She recently decided to go back to a bob after letting her hair grow out. Talyta was so excited because she remembered how cute and unique the bob is on her.
