They even have an area with toys for kids to play with...and they always top off the visit by letting by the kid pick a balloon. I took my 18 month old excited because of the cute seats, chose not to read reviews even though I saw the rating due to a recommendation (that I later found out was 12 years old lol) I explained I didn't want much taken off just a trim to even out the mullet. She starts with scissors my son is doing fine then she pulls out a pair of clippers and my husvand and I look at each other but unfortunately didn't have time to say anything before she buzzes my sweet boys hair. He's sobbing all freaked out by the buzzer. She's upset because he won't stay still. "really??? Really?" She repeatedly says to my son. She grabs him by his cheeks extremely hard to get him still. I grab my son to make him more comfortable. She's upset by that. My husband feels guilty not saying something. I feel guilty. But what do you do in a matter of seconds?? All in all. Sure. He does have a decent hair cut. He looks cute. She got the job done. As soon as I walked outside I started crying. She manhandled my baby, and I now feel guilty for letting it happen I guess this first time mom just wanted a sweet moment getting my son his first haircut. Please read the reviews when it comes to your kid. Don't be a goof like me and mess up. And yay I have a Polaroid photo of my family and a lock of his hair. I appreciate that. But seriously - message to the woman who cut my son's hair, a little kindness, patience and actual listening will go a long way for your business.

She immediately understood what I wanted--at one point, I just made a curtain bangs-like motion with my hands and she got it right away. She also took the time to study the reference picture I brought and asked how closely I wanted to follow it. She checked in about the length, whether I wanted it shorter, and suggested soft layers so the cut would not look flat. I really appreciated how she adjusted the haircut to fit me while still keeping the overall look I wanted. The soft layers framed my face beautifully, and my hair looks so much healthier now. I asked for a low taper with my bangs to my eyebrow and to texture and layer the top, the outcome absolutely did not fulfill my request. While he was cutting my hair, he was clumsy and fidgety with his equipment, he was uncertain with almost all of his actions as if he wasn't confident in his own job. He also kept forcing my hair into a side part when I strictly kept asking for bangs, and he would keep trimming and trimming down my hair till it was too short just for him to still not get it even. This guy wouldn't even ask question, or say anything the whole haircut, I had to correct him numerous times and he still messed up my hair. One of his colleagues came up to him after seeing how he was cutting my hair, they spoke Vietnamese so I didn't understand, but based on what my hair looked like at the time, I could assume it was about how my hair he cut was uneven and not properly faded. Furthermore, after how long, he was done with the haircut, I was of course dissatisfied. I asked for some texture on the top again because that's what I asked for because the bangs he cut weren't salvageable nor was the sides, and he looked at me clueless. The result wasn't even a low taper at that, the fade continued way higher than I asked for and the bangs were over an INCH above my eyebrow. I am extremely disappointed as I've been here a few times before but never had this bad of an experience. horrid. Only reason why I consider this place 2 stars is because of the ladies who are also barbers in the shop. They're very kind and make the whole shop feel homey and one of them saved me from the guy messing up my haircut more. Most of the previous haircuts from everyone else but this guy have been 4-5 stars, but after this event, I don't think I can say the same.
