I took my dog to this groomers a couple days ago. I'll be 100% transparent she was pretty matted. But I still feel the amount of nicks she has is ridiculous. My baby has been extremely uncomfortable since I brought her home. She keeps shaking and only wants me to be holding her. I have no idea who her groomer was I didn't even bother to ask because I just trusted she was in good hands. My dog didn't smell good either when we came home. She's an indoor dog so I'm not really sure why she smells even after being "groomed" Her ears weren't cleaned either and her stomach area she was still dirty. I didn't get any pictures because as I'm writing this review she's just curled up next to me. I'm sure my dog isn't the only matted dog they've received, I know my dog and I hate to make assumptions but I just know in my heart who ever her groomer was wasn't very nice. In the 4th pic you can see the fresh blood from how bad she was cut. I had to shower her today with baby shampoo and rubbed coconut oil to try to calm her skin. I'm not looking for an apology or my money back, I'll just make sure to never come back here again. I'm simply writing my experience and hopefully if any fur mom has a matted dog please skip this place. Also when I arrived to pick her up no one said anything to be about how it went or why her ears weren't cleaned or how they were able to clean her belly. If my dog was uncomfortable her groomer could have told me this. I arrived I was charged and off I went. I didn't see her skin this bad until yesterday and now im writing my review to save other dogs moms and dads from this place. read more

They are the absolute best! Five starts and thank you for loving penny as much as we do!

We took our dog in for the third or fourth time, which makes this review difficult to write. When my partner got there, he was greeted by a gentleman who didn't appear to know our dog or his needs. As he has a torn ACL which has always been accommodated by one of friendly lady groomers at Cat and Doggie Works, it was surprising to hear his response. "We can't accommodate that, Dude." At that point, one of the ladies came out and said that the lady that groomed our dog in the past might be in in about a half hour. I agree with my partner's decision not to leave our dog. We are writing this just to let them know what happened. We think they are a good groomer. We just don't think that this should have happened. I just spoke to the lady and set up an appointment with the right groomer next week. read more

I stop by to pick her up I saw a spot on her back with no hair. when i asked them how that happened they said oh we don't know might she stressed, food, divorce or need to check with her vet. I called in the morning asking for a same day bath/de shedding for my cat. They let me know they were fully booked until Wednesday. Once I let them know my cat was matted in several areas, they worked to make time to see me that day. They bathed him and got rid of all his matting. He looks great and is walking around the house more now. I appreciate the owner for making the time for a same-day service. She seemed very empathetic over the phone and was incredibly friendly and personable in person as well. This was the second cat I've brought to them and I'll definitely be a repeating customer for both my cats. read more

The first time I brought my cat here she was shaved down perfectly. The lady that was there has a cat almost just like mine and she advised me her cats privates would get messy from her long hair as well. She knew exactly what I needed. My cat was shaved completely down and her privates were shaved bare as requested. The last time we got her shaved here you could see the bone structure on her shoulders, to give an example of how short her hair was last time, it was shaved to the skin almost. I brought her back for a second time and advise them over the phone when I made the appointment that I wanted the same thing I got last time I need her privates bare. When I got to the appointment, they asked me what I needed again and I advised them I needed her bare. She is a rag-doll cat and needs to be bare for the summer. As you know all animals are to be leashed or in their kennel. I could not see my cat until I got home. She was nowhere near what I requested or what she looked like her previous appointment. I had to come all the way back for the lady at the desk to be combative with me and tell me I'm wrong. Which infuriated me! She continue to tell me I'm wrong and this is exactly what they did last time and I advised her if this is what they did last time I wouldn't be coming Back, I said I came back because it was done correctly the first time. Don't come here unless you want to be accused of being wrong and how they're correct. I already established with Alex over the phone that it was incorrect, so there was no need to spark up the conversation again, and be combative in a careless manner. She was so eager to prove her point that I had to press the call bell in the front for her to stop talking. I've never in my life had to deal with customer service like that. I don't even know what to call that. Regardless of what services were given prior, I advised them on the phone while making an appointment I wanted my cat bare, also advise them in person while dropping her off I wanted her bare. My husband was with me at the time and he contest to that: Very poor customer service. The incompetence is real here. read more

I'm so glad we decided to take our 1yo mini Goldendoodle here. The receptionist was so sweet to our baby. And star did an absolute amazing job. This is my first time taking a dog to a groomer and I had a wonderful experience. They discussed their idea on how they were going to groom her. They said they wanted to give her a cute puppy look. When I got her back she was so neat clean and floofy! Nails trimmed. Cleaned her hair out of her eyes. Did a sanitary trim. Left her with about 1inch all around. Her paws are adorable. She's so pretty! It was $90 and when we go back to visit it's 65 to do the maintenance bath and trim every 8 weeks. Thank you Star and staff. You guys were great. The team and owner are amazing. They do a really great job with our 3 year old pup who gets very anxious while being groomed. Lisa and her team are very patient and kind with her. They do a really great job with her coat both for summer cut and long hair maintenance. We could not be more grateful for this groomer and drive 35 minutes each way to get our dog groomed here because of how great they are. Breed reference - our dog is an old English mix. Her fur is similar to a doodles and they do great work for summer cut, and maintenance service is great for winter when she has a longer coat. Started bringing my pets to Cat & Doggie Works years ago when a Persian Cat adopted me (someone dumped him), and I needed to find a place that would groom cats. He was very matted, but they did great with him even though he wasn't easy to handle. Merlin the cat is gone now, but they continue doing a beautiful job grooming the dogs I've had over the years as well. Took my cat in today to get groomed. I asked for a cut like the last time, which was great. Three hours later, i get a phone call saying they couldn't cut her because she was scared of the clippers, and that it's actually bad for the cat. Why didn't you tell me that on the phone when i made the appointment? And why did you bathe and charge me $70 for something i did not ask for! Communication is terrible. It's a lot of money to spend for not getting what you asked for. Will not recommend or be coming back. read more

They literally got me in within 2.5 hours of calling for an appointment and have the best prices I could find. They were done with a full service groom within 1.5 hours and my girl left looking DAZZLING and very calm. They also take care of fleas. Go here if you don't want to waste time or money!
