If you're looking to strictly get your dog bathed/ deshedded prices are somewhat reasonable, however DO NOT get your pet cut here. I should've listened to the older reviews, but gave benefit of the doubt given it has been a long time since last reviews. We asked for a teddy bear cut on our 6 month on Bichon and our poor baby came back with his nose shaved down to skin, his face cut severely uneven and his fur trimmed down very very short. We also specifically stated to not cut his tail and the tip of the fur is cut in a blunt end. We were also very clear we just wanted his face trimmed up and rounded out. NOT SHAVED. She also told us she was only going to be doing a scissor haircut for him so it would be an additional $15 only for her to SHAVE him anyways. I understand he's a puppy and may have been a bit of a challenge, but if you can't handle cutting a puppy either don't be a groomer or don't accept puppies. Keep in mind he has gotten groomed before when we lived in a different state and they were able to work with my pup perfectly when he was younger. As for my other dog who was only bathed and de-shedded he smells great and feels fantastic thus the 2 star review. Lastly, why is getting their nails grinded extra? Oh because she stated by clipping them with clippers it makes them sharp, idk about you but anytime i've clipped my dogs' nails they're never sharp. To be honest, just seems like the business is trying to find ways to squeeze extra bucks out of you. EDIT: Wow, never have I experienced an owner to flat out lie haha. Let me reiterate since, as previous reviews have stated numerous times, not sure what was lost in translation. We asked for a TRIM on his body, his tail NOT to be cut, and for his face to be rounded out. Not entirely sure where the owner is losing the reality on what was discussed. In fact she AGREED with us to go longer on his length. Yet she somehow decided shaving him was a good idea. Yes, he has been groomed before by a skilled groomer who had zero issues working with him. I can happily provide before and after pictures of his haircut. As for lowering the price on our lab pyrenees mix. He was originally priced at a higher amount given the owner was under the expectation that he would have a pyrenees coat, although i had stated he has the coat of a lab that's long. So yeah, the price was lowered because he has a lab coat. Now, if you want to charge client more because you cannot handle a puppy cut, it's best to not accept puppies. If you are slow and gentle with my pup he responds well to having his face trimmed. Needless to say, avoid this place. listen to the reviews. Owner should stick to baths only and retire the scissors. P.S. i went "public" because people should know what to expect when coming to this establishment. a choppy haircut not worth more than $10. Quite honestly, this is just the work of a lazy groomer. Updated to 1-star merely based on the owners lack of accountability and flat out lying in a sad attempt to save face. Should've known to just walk out based on how spaced out she seemed when dropping my pups off. read more

They did a wonderful job! I asked for a more teddy bear cut which is why Colby here doesn't have the typical schnauzer look. I love their services! We are always greeted with warms smiles and feel welcome. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, which is perfect for pets who may be anxious. Services took about 2 hours, and Colby looks fantastic! I still love Poochie's and will be sad to move! I started taking my 6 year old Shih Tzu there right after we moved to the area, when she was about 8 months old. I got married when she was 2 years old. My husband wanted a puppy. He tried cutting the puppy's hair himself, but she always looked like he cut her hair himself. And to our surprise, though, her hair never got thick, like a regular Shih Tzu. So, we would take her in for face trims at Poochie's. Then her squirming made it not worth it! Both of our dogs look great, regardless of if we ask for summer cuts or just a trim, so that they will look good for visiting family that is coming in a few weeks. I have never been unhappy! Poochie's always runs on time, smells clean, and they put up with my squirming dogs. The location is also fantastic! I recommend Poochie's to all of my friends. They always do a great job with grooming my dogs and trimming my cat's nails. 10/10 would recommend.

Unless you are looking for a groomer who does not listen to your request and directions regarding how you want your dog cut then I suggest you look elsewhere. I cannot tell you how clear I was about how I wanted my labradoodle cut and even showed the picture of how I wanted a trim just to shape him up. I told them multiple times I wanted less than half an inch cut off him. I clearly said DO NOT CUT HIM LIKE A POODLE. I'm not sure what wasn't understood. They are very friendly but that doesn't mean much when I got opposite of what I asked for. They should be happy that I had already paid before I saw him or they would not have gotten a dollar from me. I am furious. Went to Poochies today to have my Shih Tzu groomed. I was very pleased in every way. He looks very smooth and even. It is the best hair cut he has ever had. If you are looking for somewhere to take your dog knowing they will be in good hands this place is not it. My dog has grooming anxiety but everywhere else we have never had this problem. We've been to Poochie's before and have always had a great outcome. I believe they are under new management. The man that groomed my dog did a horrible job. He came back to me half shaved and with bleeding nicks on his back and neck. There was no attempt to even clean up the blood on him. Around his mouth is super sensitive and I understand they may not have been able to get that area. But down his back and neck there are no excuses. He also didn't get his nails trimmed or the fur around his paws trimmed either. I did not pay for this service because nothing was done, except for a subpar shave down his back. read more
