I ended up buying one strawberry shortcake cupcake and one vanilla cupcake. When he put the cupcakes in a container and then a bag, he gave me their business card. Apparently, they also do catering and will do custom cakes. Later that day, we tried the cupcakes. My husband really liked the strawberry shortcake one and said the strawberry flavoring came through clearly. He even suspected that some strawberry flavoring was added to the cake part. I enjoyed the vanilla one which actually had subtle vanilla flavor. As for ambience --- It's a small place with a couple of tables for those who want to eat their cupcakes right after buying them. As the name suggests, the selection of pastries was weighted heavily towards tropical fruits, and while I'm not normally a cheesecake person, trying the guava cheesecake was an interesting experience, and it was as rich as you'd think, but the light fruit flavor provides a nice balance to the experience. Dairy-free customers won't find a ton in the baked goods, but they did have a cooler of frozen tropical fruit bars for sale, as well as beverages. They are not open seven days, which is fair enough if that's what works for them, but that's the only reason I didn't try them sooner.
