The repair technician, Joe, did a great job. He installed a new timer mechanism as I had requested, and he took some extra time and effort to stop 3 water leaks sound my pool pumps and sand filter. One of the tiny leaks almost required Sherlock Holmes to discover and to stop that leak, but Joe did it. My pool water level had been dropping slowly but after these leaks were eliminated it is not dropping. If Joe had not done this extra effort I probably would have gone to the time and expense hiring a leak detection company. Joe was also friendly and polite and took a short time to explain how a connection could get cross threaded to where it was barely noticeable. read more

I called on Wednesday and they came out to fix all my issues next day. Had some pool heater issues and auto fill valve issue. Technician was very knowledgeable and was able to fix everything quickly. I will not hesitate to call again for any future needs. read more

Let's be clear, a lot of people have broken pipes. Called Pool Chem Plus to insure they had the parts I needed and they said yes, come right down. I get there and some idiot is sitting behind the counter saying they are not selling anything to people. Even after I told him they confirmed they had the parts and I could come right down. This idiot kept saying "no, have a nice day"! I simply drove a few miles away to Ewing Irrigation supplies and they gave me everything I needed for less than Pool Chem Plus. I can only assume these people have their head up in a very dark place. After 10 years of being a customer of theirs, I will NEVER go there and I suggest the same to anyone who is concerned with customer service and honesty in who you deal with. read more

The best thing about Pool Chem Plus are the two owners: twin brothers Russell and Rex Clausen. They are the most customer oriented owners of any business I use. Their customer service philosophy spills over to their staff at Pool Chem, especially those personnel who clean customers' pools. Everyone at Pool Chem Plus has always tried their best to help me with any problems I might be having with any pool issues. I have received excellent advice from Russell regarding the benefits of draining my pool and refilling with fresh water. He has helped me adjust my cleaner to work better. Pool Chem has an excellent management team and service technicians. When we have issues they are responsive and knowledgable and have been able to fix our problem quickly to get us back up and running. The ice storm of 2021 will go down in the record books. I've never seen a hot tub completely freeze over, and certainly not in Central Texas. Our pool was one of literally hundreds in our community that had busted fittings as the result of the freeze. Pool Chem helped ease our concerns and assured us that they would be addressing our issues as quickly as possible, noting that there were 200 homes needing service. They asked for our patience. If I could give less I would the customer service is horrible and they do not deserve business. I'll down my money elsewhere and would encourage you to do the same. I stopped in to make an appointment as my Hayward Pool pump was leading. The day before they were to come out I received a phone call. "your pump is no longer made and we won't be able to get parts. You will need a new pump. The bad news is that the motor you have won't work in the new pump" I told them I would fix it myself. Took the pump to Leslies, 620 and 183. They sold me the kit and INSTALLED it for FREE. It works great now. Let's see, spend $69 for a kit or pay $$$$.$$ for a new pump, motor and installation? That was an easy decision read more

Disappointed. Hours on-line and store door state open Saturday 9-5. I arrived at 4:45 pm on Saturday, August 8 to test water and pick up chemicals for the weekend and doors are locked. Nobody was in the store. And of course they are closed Sunday. If your hours are adjusted for COVID, please post so your customers do not waste their time. read more

These guys are awesome. Fast, super friendly and you can tell they actually care about what they do. Had an issue with my equipment and gave them a call. They had someone out the next day. Was working fine then made one weird sound for a couple minutes and I gave them a call for the second time. They had someone back out first thing in the morning. We were forced to replace our nearly 10 year old busted Hayward pool & spa heater a few days before Christmas 2020. We shut off water at main during the Iceapocalypse so our house/pool pipes wouldn't freeze. We waited until the temperature was above freezing for 36 hours before turning water back on, SAVED OUR POOL & SPA. Fast forward to April, May, June, the temperature on heater wouldn't go above 90 degrees. No big deal, it's under warranty. Hayward's website led me to Rex & Russell. They helped me over the phone & we had the issue fixed in 10 minutes! Great family owned business who are very nice & very knowledgeable. People must understand that we are in "the Great Depression" (eye roll) & everyone is going through the same thing down here in Austin. Be kind. These guys really do care. They amazed us today. I was so pleased with Pool Chem plus I thought I should leave this review. After several years of dealing with Leslie's pools buying chemicals it seemed as though they were always trying to sell me something I did not need. When I found Pool Chem plus I discovered their prices were lower and they were much more knowledgeable about how to take care of the pool then the other company. Since doing business with them I have had to have a pool pump replaced at my house so I called Pool Chem Plus They were able to schedule me in in a very short period of time and make the repairs they are very friendly and the most reasonable that I could fine. About six months ago our other house that also has a swimming pool well the pump went out on it so I called them back up at Pool Chem Plus they came out the next day and installed a new pump on that one along with a few other small parts that were getting damage due to the extreme heat. The best thing I like about them is that they do not try to sell you something you don't need. Happy to see the new Round Rock location. So if you are in need of any pull supplies or repairs you would be smart to call them and give them a try you will be very pleased give them a A Plus for service and prices very friendly employees! read more

OMG, I had the best experience with this company. My husband and I cleaned our pool/filter system on Saturday, and when we were done, the pool pump did not seem to be functioning correctly, so we decided to shut it down and call a professional. This company had the best reviews, so we decided to use them and am so glad we did. Our tech, Joe, got here and chatted with me about the pool and he was so informative and knowledgeable. He quickly finds the issue (leaves clogging up the system). does an excellent job cleaning the pool and leaves. So I decide to go take a gander at the tank to make sure it is pressurizing and operating properly. I freak out because I don't think there is water moving through the system and the pressure is very low, so call the office. (Very new pool owners, BTW). They send Joe back and he told me everything was working fine. He took about 15 minutes to explain how the system works and gave me piece of mind that expensive equipment was not being damaged. We purchased a new home in July. Pool Chem Plus has been servicing the pool and equipment for the previous owners for years. Prior to the home purchase it was discovered that one of the pool lights had water intrusion. It was requested by us "The Buyers" to have the light changed out if necessary. Pool Chem did not change out the light. They changed the gaskets / seals around both lights instead because no damage was visible on the light case. Fast forward 2 & 1/2 months and water was discovered in both lights. Pool Chem was notified and a request was made for a service tech to attend and fix the leaky lights. I was ensured that a tech would be at my residence first thing Friday morning. Instead a tech finally showed up after 1:00 in the afternoon. Prior to the techs arrival my wife contacted the Pool Chem office to check the status of the tech whom was supposed to be at our residence. She was notified that the tech was busy cleaning pools and would be here when he got here. "Strike One" During that conversation the supervisor at the Pool Chem location in Georgetown Tx notified my wife that since the previous light service was performed for the previous owners that the warranty work didn't convey to us. "Strike Two" Hello they didn't take the pool with them when they moved! The service was done at OUR request before purchasing the home. I wasn't asking for free pool service for life. I merely wanted Pool Chem to stand behind their workmanship for services performed less than 3 months prior. My wife was also notified that ANY work performed on the lights in question other than cleaning the gaskets would be directly at our expense "Strike Three" Don't be a jerk to your clientele. Had the personnel my wife spoke to been more kind this review would've gone in a totally different direction. This is Texas people. Do you think you're the only pool serving/cleaning show in town? I would have loved to continue using Pool Chem but due to a disastrous and unrecoverable first impression I'll be spending my money elsewhere. It's well worth noting that the service tech that showed up to inspect the lights was extremely courteous and nice. I don't want this review to reflect negatively on him in any way. I'm definitely NOT sorry for the 1 star review. My only regret is that I cannot rate Pool Chem at ZERO or even NEGATIVE stars. read more
