It's split between single lanes and a wider section for open swim during scheduled times. Lessons and classes are offered during the day for babies up through seniors. This can impact open swim so it's best to check out times available. Information can be found on their website and Facebook page. They have various membership options and also allow drop ins for $10 a day per adult. There are locker rooms and a family changing room. There are bleachers and chairs for observers and a cute outdoor pool deck area when it's warm. The staff has always been polite when we go and are willing to answer questions about lessons and other things. There are weekend events such as family swim party and BBQs. Overall a nice place to go and swim for a bit without a huge cost to be a guest.

With just one class down, I'm writing this review with 5 stars because they've done more in the first class in 30 minutes than they have in years past combined, so thank you to HV Swim but also to instructor Richard. My one boy was always so scared of the water, and I've had to request credits because he never went in. Now, he not only stayed there, but swam by himself for the first time ever, was happy about it, and can't wait to go back- he just needed the right motivation. My other son is a fish and was given the right encouragement to do it on his own and swam laps, with a safe eye watching him. I've never felt better about HV Swim, and definitely recommend their lessons!

I suggest take your kids else where we work hard for our money and no child should be treated this way. I could make a bigger deal about this and go to the state and owners of golds gym and let them in on what type of organization this is. The owner charged me $500 for 2 kids to take four 30-minute semi private lessons (when both kids were swimming, one sat on the steps while the other got instruction, so they basically only got to swim for 15 minutes each). I later learned that Ashley charges roughly that same amount for each kid to get their own four private 30-minute lessons! I asked about this discrepancy and the owner ignored the query for several weeks. When she did call me directly, she just said this was the policy and refused my request for a refund. (FWIW, I initially only communicated to her via text message because she was recommended by a friend; she never sent me any company policy information until after I had paid.) AVOID!

In fact they kinda like it. Actually, they really like it. And for that I blame Ashley. We were recommended to her by an adult friend who worked with her to improve his own swimming. But Ashley is great with kids. Now my children are pool safe. I can trust that they can fall in a pool and not drown. We are not a terribly athletic family, so we have no Olympic dreams. Still, the kids continue to work with Ashley to get stronger and stronger in the pool. Maybe if she were meaner like the swim teachers of my youth, the kids might progress a little faster. But it's also possible their slow progress is just genetic and based on the fact that outside of their time with Ashley they spend almost all of their hours on dry land. On the practical side, Ashley is great to work with and has been exceedingly flexible with my crazy schedule, and I appreciate that immensely. But that nice to the kids thing? That's still hard to take.

My son, who is autistic and nonverbal, was placed into a class with three other students after I was specifically directed to enroll and pay for that class. After just ONE session, I was then told he was "not fit" for the class. Jody, the woman who answers the phone even admitted that many parents are having issues understanding the class descriptions on their website. Despite that, when I asked for a full refund due to being placed in the wrong class based on THEIR guidance, I was refused one. Instead, I was told that because they "couldn't fill his spot" for the current week's session (classes are on Wednesdays), they "had to" charge me anyway. Completely unacceptable, especially for a business working with children and families who need clear guidance and support. DO NOT book with these people.

Theres been 4 times where a class has been cancelled and no notification is given. I along with other parents have shown up for class and no instructor is there. When Ive emailed or called about this I receive no response from anyone. Secondly and most importantly. There is NO second instructor or lifeguard. That means that you have to watch your child like a hawk because the instructor teaching the class is responsible for individually teaching the students while watching the other students they are not working with. I brought my younger child with me for a class prior to the older child's class and was not able to watch my older child in the pool while I was changing my little one. My older child in the pool fell off the step and was struggling to stay afloat. My child swallowed water and had to be seen later at urgent care because she was having high fevers. The instructor didn't notice because he was busy with another student. When I spoke to the owner about this incident I was not offered an apology, concern for my child, or even a solution. The owners of this swim program should be ashamed of themselves and their disregard for children's safety. I wouldn't recommend this program to anyone I know. Save your money and your time and go elsewhere!

My parents have been members here for as long as I can remember. My dad has always been an avid…read moretennis player and my mom started taking lessons so that she could share something my dad loved. They both play in several leagues and have a couple days a week that they're in on a regular basis. Apart from tennis camp as a kid, I've never been much of a tennis player so when I'm there, usually I stick to the fitness area. From that perspective, there is nothing terribly special about the offerings but it's pretty much got whatever you need. I've never been in when it was crazy busy in the fitness area so I'm not sure how well people manage with one squat rack. The people who I see have always been friendly though and happy to let you work in. Even though the fitness space isn't huge, it does a nice job of giving you what you need without taking too much space from the tennis courts. Plus they also have a separate space for fitness classes if that's something you're interested in. Overall, it's a good option if you'd like to play tennis and be able to work out at the same place or even if (like me) you're not hitting the tennis courts.
