My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Disney's Pop Century resort during the Holidays in December. We ended up staying for 6 days, 5 nights at the Pop Century. Our arrival time was a little bit later in the evening, around 12:00 A.M the next day, but there was plenty of team members still at the check-in to check us into the hotel! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Since it was the Holidays, the hotel had a huge holiday tree in the middle of the main entrance next to the Everything Pop Century Store and the arcade![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was also nightly cookies available with fresh hot cider! [[HIGHLIGHT]]On Christmas Eve, the team came out and danced to the Holiday music! It was so cool to experience the Holidays at Pop Century![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My family and I ate dinner several times at the POP Food Court. It was so convenient! We would place a mobile order to-go and then pick-up our order at the register when it was ready. Most of the food items are $14.99 and under! The POP dining is also open for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. The current hours are from 7:00 A.M to 11:00 P.M, but you'll want to confirm in the Disney World Mobile application if the hours change. The entrance for this is right next to the hotel check-in and main entrance for Pop Century. There are plenty of items in the shopping store too from apparel, toys, and gifts! It's a quick service establishment. A lot of the dinner entrees include chicken dishes, burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, pasta, pizza, sandwiches, desserts and so much more! A few evenings we ended up getting burgers, French fries, spaghetti and meatballs, and even chicken tenders! We had a preferred room near the hotel entrance and the Disney Skyliner, though one of the days, the Skyliner wasn't functioning. Luckily, we had rented a car from the Orlando International Airport and was able to drive to the theme parks instead. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The hotel room was perfect for us. We transformed the table to a bed, and had 2 beds available in the room. There was a TV, refrigerator, safe, and a few other items in the bedroom![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathroom was a little small, but it was fully stocked with all of the required items.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Room service was provided as well! [[HIGHLIGHT]]At the hotel, there were multiple pools. We ended up going to the pool that was closest to our hotel room near the bowling pin area. The pool was relatively empty since it was cold outside, around 60, but the pool itself was heated![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, we had a great experience at Pop Century. We did like having the quick service dining option available, especially after the long days at the Theme Park! We didn't spend too much time in the hotel room except for the evening hours!

Our family just wrapped up another stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort, which has been one of our go-to Disney hotels over the years! While there's always a lot we love about staying here, we did run into a few hiccups this visit. Starting with the positives, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the resort's retro theming is as fun and vibrant as ever. The bright, colorful buildings--complete with giant Rubik's cubes, yo-yo staircases, and other nostalgic touches--really make the atmosphere special.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The pool area was also fantastic, and we loved participating in the poolside activities like music movie trivia. Watching Moana 2 under the stars on a blow-up movie screen was a highlight of our stay![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We also made time for marshmallow roasting near Surfer Goofy and his car, which was such a simple but magical moment. They offer free marshmallows and roasting sticks, or you can purchase a s'mores kit for a bigger treat[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. And can we just talk about the adobo chicken nachos? Those were a total win! That said, this visit wasn't without a few bumps. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our room, while clean, had some missed details like stray hairs and dust in corners that made us pause.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Noise levels have also been noticeably higher the last few stays, and this time in the Sixties Building, it felt like the walls were paper-thin. We could hear everything from neighbors' conversations to toilets flushing and footsteps above, which made it harder to relax, especially at night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This has been a recurring issue for us over the past few stays, so it might be worth noting if you're someone who's sensitive to noise. Another issue we noticed was the sheer number of housekeeping carts. It felt like no matter where we turned or what time it was (obviously I'm not complaining about times they're actively cleaning a room) within the buildings, there was almost always a cart in the way. For the price of Pop Century, even as a value resort, that felt a bit frustrating. The food court, while offering some delicious options like the nachos, felt poorly managed this time--lines were long even during off-peak hours, and there were moments where cast members seemed to overlook waiting guests. After about two days, the menu started to feel repetitive, so we'd recommend planning for meals at other spots around Disney property to keep things fresh. ‍ [[HIGHLIGHT]]One other thing to note was the poolside games. While the cast members really gave it their all, many of the activities were on hot pavement, which made it uncomfortable for everyone.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] More water-based games would've helped, but we did appreciate the effort to keep things festive despite the heat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, Pop Century continues to offer a fun, more budget-friendly way to stay at Disney...especially with its bold theming, enjoyable pools, and great location with Skyliner access.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]But for us, some of the magic was dulled by the noise levels and a few service hiccups. Not sure we'll be staying here for awhile.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The Pop Century Resort at Disney. I recently stayed here for 6 days with my family of 4. The room itself was just enough for my family. My wife and I stayed on one bed, and my daughter and son shared the pull down bed. The room was pretty small. You basically just have enough space to maneuver around the beds, and into the bathroom. Positives: The resort feels like a getaway. Alot of oversized decorations throughout the resort, and large bright signage. Palm trees everywhere, and it didn't come off cheesy because it's Disney. There are 3 pools at the resort, so no matter where you stay you'll be near one of the pools. I didn't go to any others but the one near the 60's building outside of the food court, but I saw them in passing. The one I went to had a concession stand and sold alcoholic beverages (overpriced). There is a area inside the main entrance to shop for souveniers (In a pinch it sells liquor, but its about 15-22 for a pint). There is also a cafeteria where you can mobile order meals (drinks sold separately), but the food is really just something to fill your stomach. The selections are pretty slim, and you'd pay around the same, and eat way better if you uber eat, and pick it up out front. (I got Chronic Tacos and they were BUSSIN, but I don't even really talk like that forreal). I used a lot of Yelp trying to avoid the food here, only thing I can say I kind of enjoyed was the bacon and egg bagels, but the fries, and home fries were always over cooked. Almost came off with the consistency of being reheated. However the positive is that its an option I guess, even though I just kind of went in on it, when i'm supposed to be giving positives...lol They also have an arcade for the kids to hang out at which was cool, 25 bucks gets you a good amount of play time, and there were quite a few games, though some didn't function and I probably lost abut 4 bucks to games that didn't work, but still took the money... but they have an arcade... It's also not to far from the sky liners, which take you to epcot and hollywood studios. Negatives: Small rooms. They don't want you bringing any outside food that needs refrigeration, or to be heated up. The food at the cafeteria is over priced, and average. My biggest gripe with this place was that when we first arrived, a gentlemen collected out bags and said they would be placed in our room when it was time for our check in. That way when we got to the room after coming from the parks luggage would have already arrived in the room, but nope! Then when we called down stairs, they told us it would be a 45 minute wait. So we go downstairs to get our stuff, and magically one of the workers is all of a sudden to push our stuff up, and waits in the doorway for a tip as if he did us a favor, when we had already tipped the guy earlier who never brought our belongings upstairs. I gave this place a 3 because if you're like my family we woke up early and spend all day at the park, so we really only came back to sleep, but if you're looking for some type of comfort, then this might not be the place. Unless your good with just sitting on the beds and hanging out. I feel as if this will be the only year we would be able to do Pop Century because with our kids getting bigger. I feel as if we'll need more space going forward. I was already hearing the complaints of how cramped the room was from the kids, but we made due. Probably a good spot for a young couple to come, more space because they wouldn't need the second bed to come down. Overall it was okay...

Several pros and cons to this "value" property on the Disney grounds. From the outside this place is amazing . The theme of the decades is awesome and lots of photo worthy statues and 3 inviting pools for you to cool down in . The customer service was fun and chipper, like you would expect a Disney resort to be . My bed (even though it came out of the wall) was very comfy . They also gave us cool luggage tags and some discount coupons. Transportation to the parks via bus or Skyliner was fairly easy to navigate. Now the cons. Our room had very little space to move around in our room . Our door had difficulty opening up with our magic band or key , and would close super slowly. It was like the door was getting stuck on something or needed to be lubricated . Very frustrating for our first couple of nights there until we got used to it. The food isn't the greatest, kind of tasted like campus or school lunch food . Lastly, our room was barely serviced during our stay, even though it was requested . On day 3 they came in to collect towels and replace 3 extra ones and emptied garbages, but that's it . Would I stay there again? Probably not . It was still expensive and for the price point we would need more space. I would probably splurge and reserve a property more adult oriented with better food options. But I wasn't completely unsatisfied and did get a good night's sleep , so it could have been worse.

Very comfortable stay with the different eras as a backdrop and theme for certain buildings. I like the creativeness behind each era. Good room with basic necessities. Property has multiple pools, stores, cafeteria and buses as well as the sky rail to get around.

Our waiter, Tim, came right to our table and he was immediately warm and personable. We ended up speaking and joking with him throughout the meal and it made it that much more enjoyable. We ordered mac & cheese, a biscuit, broccolini l, coleslaw and two chicken burgers. For one of the chicken burgers, we asked for grilled chicken instead of fried chicken and they were more than happy to accommodate. Both the grilled and fried chicken were incredibly tender and the sandwiches were so tasty. The mac & cheese was some of the best I've ever had. It was creamy and cheesy with a layer of baked cheese on top. The coleslaw was also perfectly sweet and crunchy. The biscuit was cheesy, warm and flaky. To end our email, Tim brought us a piece of hummingbird cake on the house, and we really appreciated the gesture. Between the food and the service, this was a fantastic experience and I can't wait to go back.

I have…read moreread so many reviews about this place from other yelpers, and now I get to experience it for myself, but no one mentioned how packed this place was. One thing I believe in is when a restaurant is consistently packed, that signifies the food is good. Along with other groups of people, I had to wait to be seated, but it wasn't for long. I followed the hostess through the spacious restaurant until he placed me at a small booth table. My server was very pleasant. She approached the table, warmly greeted me, and asked if I would like some orange juice, which I gladly accepted. At the same time, I placed an order for their apple cinnamon french toast. Wow, I was impressed with the presentation. Three thick slices of bread nicely browned with cinnamon-spiced apple filling and dusted with powdered sugar. This dish didn't need any syrup. The flavors from the apples was just enough and it was so ooey-gooey good. The meal was thoroughly enjoyed and I received satisfactory service. I am definitely looking forward to my next visit.

We tried to come here on a Saturday around 10am and there was a line so we returned Sunday at 7:30am. No line, but we had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. They may have been waiting on more staff since half the restaurant was empty. Our food was fine but on par with Denny's or Perkins. My potatoes were slightly undercooked and warm at best. Worst part: we came here to use a gift card since we're moving out of the country in three days. Sorry, our machine isn't taking gift cards at this time so just use it next time. We told the manager it only had $10 and she said there was nothing she could do. I found a local couple on our way out and gave it to them. I would not recommend Keke's even without the gift card situation.
