Pop Donut is a lovely shop. I tried one of their Oreo donuts and it was delicious! When my sister was having trouble deciding on what to order, the cashier was super sweet and patient and let her take her time, since they weren't as busy in the later morning. The interior is decently spacious, making dining in a nice experience. A donut/cafe business with a drive through is definitely not the place to go on a Saturday afternoon. The place has a very old school style with a few tables if you want to dine in. There were still a small amount of donuts, but none of them had signs, so I just pointed to the ones that I wanted. The worker was kind and gave some free glazed donut holes after I got a half dozen of donuts. The best donut from the box was the cruller donut which was soft and had enough flavor. The other donuts tasted a bit stale like they were a day old. The vanilla cream filling didn't taste anything like cream but more of an off-tasting marshmallow fluff. Overall, I wouldn't recommend coming all the way here, but if you do grab a hot drink to dunk your donuts in. read more

The coffee was okay, nothing to write home about, just average. The pricing was on target for what you expect. It was under $6 for a large iced coffee and a donut. The staff were polite, courteous, and fast. As far as ambiance, it didn't exactly have an inviting atmosphere that would make you want to hang out and eat. It's more of a grab and go place. Tough to really give a lot of accolades to a donut place...after all, donuts are what they are, and unless someone really screws one up, they're usually pretty OK. Nothing at this Top Donut made me say "I'll never come here again," or "wow, this place is better than L'Espalier." No, Top Donut gave me a cakey cream cheese muffin that had better than average flavor and provided me a medium coffee with just a bit of cream and no sugar. I was thrilled to discover there was a home-y breakfast place near my work. If you look at my reviews, you can tell I'm a sucker for a home-made bagel, breakfast sandwich, donut, coffee, you name it. I was expected a scrambled egg, but what I got was a hard, sorta-slimy, just-cracked-the-egg-and-let-it-cook-as-is kind of puck. No flavor, not yummy at all. The whites are too slimy and the yolk is too dense. It really ruined the sandwich, what a tragedy. The key to Top Donut is get there early. They're made daily, onsite, unlike a certain chain that I like to call The First Church of New England. The locals know this is the place to go, so they sell fast, especially on weekends. Not only do you want to go early to get the best selection, but also cause they're the kind of thing you want to eat really fresh. I don't go there after 11 or so, no matter how much I want donuts. And even 11 is pushing it. These are big, delicious donuts. Melt in your mouth. Their chocolate icing (and they're generous with it) is superior to any in the area, and the glaze is so fresh and pure... I love the glazed and chocolate iced, and now and then I'll have a blueberry or a bow tie. My husband loves the lemon filled and cinnamon. We moved a half hour away and I still return for them. My parents (from Pennsylvania) request a trip there when they visit. And they live near a Krispy Kreme, which I consider the epitome of doughnut greatness. But they prefer Top Donut! This was always great but the last few time's I have gone in the morning for donuts they are not fresh, they are yesterday's donuts that didn't sell, instead of throwing them away I think they carry them over for the next morning, if I want day old donuts there are Dunkin Donuts all over the place, I hope they stop serving day old donuts. read more

This is my first review, and I felt the need to actually create a page for this place on Yelp because they do deserve it. I never visited Top Donut before, but I guess it closed down and they opened Pop Donut. The food is absolutely amazing. The croissants are the biggest I've ever seen, and they taste like it was freshly made. My favorite thing so far is the Ham, Egg, Cheese Croissant. The egg is a real egg with a yolk, and not the fabricated ones like Dunkin Donuts. The coffee is really good, reminds me of the "cuban cafecito con leche" I used to drink when I lived in Miami. The staff is really nice, I don't know what nationality they are, but they are Asian, and very, very nice and polite. The cheese danish and glazed donut is to die for. Just today I found out they also have Boba Tea (Bubble Tea), which I didn't know they had that here, so I was very excited to hear about it. Don't know what flavors of Boba tea they have, but I'm dying to find out on my next visit for sure. This has become, in only the 3 times I've visited, my favorite breakfast place. This a good old-fashioned mom&pop donut shop. I have been going there several years. I drive out of my to get there. I do so for the simple reason that the staff are genuinely happy to greet customers. The current owner acquired the original shop as "Top Donut" and renamed it "Pop Donut". Running this type of business is hard - and they do so with a graciousness that makes me want to come back because I want them to succeed. The coffee is always fresh.
