    Blueberry Muffin French Toast

Went here for breakfast one Sunday morning. My daughter was participating in a nearby event and we decided to go out for brunch. We expected it to be busy since it was around 10:45, but it only took 5-10 minutes for a booth to open up. There was a good selection to choose from. I had the Blueberry Muffin French Toast with a side of bacon, we also had the lemon blueberry pancakes and an omelet. Everything was delicious and reasonably portioned. The bacon was cooked perfectly crispy without being overdone. The waitress was one of maybe 2 for all of the booths yet she came around regularly, ensured our coffee was topped off and that we were happy with our food. One thing to know is that it's small and a little tight. If you have issues with feeling crowded it may not be the best choice during peak hours. I'm not crazy about things like elevators, etc. but once we got into a booth there was plenty of space. However, there was a section where tables for 2 were placed in the aisle between the booths. I wouldn't have wanted to sit at those tables but it seemed like they were reserving those as a last resort as no one was encouraged to sit there versus the tables they were bussing.

Went here for breakfast yesterday & have to say that it is better than ever! I've been going here for about 35 years & have seen it go through a few different owners. It took a hit during the lockdown but it's back better than ever. DD & I shared the ghost pepper omelette & blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup and they hit it out of the park!! Very Spicy! The place is cute & freshened up since the last time we were there. Service was friendly, professional & awesome. They are not open very much but they're worth hunting down their hours and getting there & waiting if necessary.

I'm happy to say Shawsheen Luncheonette has reopened and is mostly unchanged, despite being under new ownership. For those who don't already know, Shawsheen has a great breakfast menu with something for everyone from pancakes, waffles and French toast to 17 types of omelets, Eggs Benedict and eggs fiesta. There's even an "Eat Green Eat Clean section with some very delicious and healthy dishes like the green goddess omelet (this is in addition to the 16 above!) The service is very friendly and attentive - not like other fast paced breakfast places - here you never wait for coffee or a check. Can't say enough about how great the people are here. Easy parking on the street in front or in the lot in back. The buzz among everyone eating there (many long time regulars) is that we're all very happy it's back!

The gang and I were in the area and this place was recommended by a local. Clean and comfortable for its size. (Small place) We were able to sit right down and order right away. Service was good. We ordered a number of different breakfast options and most were good. Coffee was okay. Next time we are in the area will be back.

Very quaint old school diner space. Friendly service with a large breakfast menu. Parking is tough, otherwise I'd go more.

We happen upon this place in Andover, because we were going to the big picture framing shop right…read moreby it. It looked good, it smelled good, and they were plenty of people inside. When I checked yelp, it had really good reviews too, so it was worth the try. I was really impressed with the ordering experience. They knew what they were doing. And if this obviously wasn't their first place. Although the chicken Shawarma was hanging and could be cut at any time dripping with juices, they actually had a container full already cut chicken Shawarma. Looks really, really juicy fresh and yummy. So we would pass on Shwarma next time. Too bad. For the dinners, two shows chicken Shawarma one chose halloumi salad, and one chose falafel plate. For the sides, we tried the hummus, vermicelli, rice, regular potatoes, spicy potatoes, Fattoush salad, and all looked really good. The atmosphere looks to be the type that I wouldn't really want to sit and have a romantic dinner at, but it does have a nice bar on the side, and there were a few people sitting and enjoying the trick with their food. We got takeout. The chicken Shawarma was pretty dry, and could have used a little bit more spice. We got the garlic aïoli on the side, and it matched it well. The hummus is excellent consistency, but needs a bit more spice also. Perhaps some of the dry spice they sell in the store. The halloumi on top of the salad is excellent. Really excellent. We drove a half hour to get home, so the halloumi was no longer warm, but that's expected. The salad under the halloumi, was really good. Very fresh, a bit different with the mandarin oranges, raisins, and slivered, almonds, and it all went well together. The dressing that comes with it, is the fig, balsamic vinaigrette, and that tasted just like a bottled fig balsamic glaze. It's the sticky very strong taste, and it was perfect on the salad and the cheese. Tabouli was great taste and yummy. So fresh. Disappointed in the pita, wish they were cooked in house. Cookies for dessert were pretty amazing. Homemade in house and they tasted it, and though they were kind of pricey, we would probably get them again. We really liked this place. 4 stars because of the dry shwarma.

When we were in the process of losing our soul mate of a dog to lung cancer they would go above and beyond for our random orders and would always try to bring a smile to our face when we would pick it up. She wouldn't eat so we would call & ask for plain unseasoned grilled chicken or just bacon or whatever it was they always helped us out. Her last meal was bacon on the beach (her favorite place). Thank you for the amazing service.

Ya know, I once navigated to this place on accident before? Yeah. Still not sure what my GPS was…read moredoing that day. Because I normally go to the one in Salem. But on this day, I thought to myself, "Self, I really hate making that busy-as-hell left turn on South Broadway in Salem. What if we took a journey to the Andover location instead?" And so it was. I enter this cozy little restaurant carefully tucked against a slightly submerged parking garage. Although, I probably shouldn't say "little" because the interior was noticeably larger than its Salem counterpart. It's also noisy AF in there when it gets busier than a New York subway. So naturally, I ordered my usual to-go (a Country Classic with an extra egg and hashbrowns for those who don't know). Only it wasn't *quite* ready on time. Which, to be fair, is kind of a minor point. Thing is, they have to shout your name whenever your order is finally ready. This in and of itself can prove to be quite the challenge when bellowing atop the already roaring crowd of customers impeding the otherwise accessible pickup shelves. I'll do my best to describe the interior since I wasn't really able to take pictures. But try to imagine an L-shaped dining area with the longest part hosting a row of countertop seats facing the windows. Beyond that sits a rather modest dining area with a few more tables. Next to that sits the gender neutral restrooms. It's strange and cramp, particularly when the place is packed tighter than a sardine can. Sufficed to say, I'm not much a fan of the interior design here. Being the partial recluse that I am, I offer the following best practice for a place so riotous: mobile order that shiz, cuh! Seriously. I had to put in my noise cancelling earbuds to appease my misophonia. The good news is....the food is still awesome. The eggs? Creamier than crème fraîche. Taters? Eh, I don't why...but these seemed way more seasoned the very first time I tried them. Fortunately, they actually pair rather well with their refined version of ketchup. The bacon? Well...let's just say I wish it were served well done. Not sure if I'm able to request that. But I'll scope out my options next time and get back to you all. That's it though. Nice place, WAY easier to get to than its Salem counterpart, but a bit too cramp and noisy for my taste which means....I'll likely ever dine in here. It's all good though, because I'm still giving Crack'd Kitchen & Coffee in Andover 4 Country Classics with all the fixins out of 5.
