I chose this shop because the Yelp reviews mentioned honest staff and fair pricing, but my experience didn't match what I expected. The staff was nice, but the process didn't feel transparent. I originally went in on Saturday just to get quoted for replacing the four door speakers. During the quote, Mike suggested I also get a box and an amplifier to "get the proper sound," which increased the total price. I told him I wasn't getting any work done that day and planned to come back Sunday for the actual appointment. Even so, Mike told me I needed to pay the full price upfront on Saturday. I questioned why I should pay for a service I wasn't receiving that day, and instead of adjusting anything, I was told I needed to leave a deposit, half of the full quote, which was over $1,800. When I came back on Sunday, I only had time to replace the four door speakers and skipped the box and amplifier. I asked if I needed a new quote since the job was now much smaller, and was told no, I was good to go. For context, the speakers installed cost about $130-$150 per pair, and the mechanic finished the work in about an hour. (Huge thank you to him, he did excellent work.) Overall, the customer service was friendly, but being asked to pay full price the day before my actual appointment and not being re‑quoted when I reduced the job didn't match the "honest and fair" experience I expected based on other reviews.
