And, he's the only true local in this small group. His menu is what I call a "yes please" menu. There isn't anything on it I don't want. The Crab & Tuna Tian is a favorite appetizer of mine. And then I have to decide between Cod, Tile or Black Sea Bass. It isn't easy. Dessert, on the other hand, is easy. The Apple Pecan Caramel Cake. My wife likes the Molten Cake. Winter evenings are especially great with the fireplace burning local locust logs. Creative fresh food, a great wine list of wines you may not know and a romantic setting with great service.

Oops lol It was a quiet Friday evening and Plaza Café is conveniently located near my friend's house there in South Hampton. Being off season, there has been very little traffic and people on the streets. There were only 3 other parties in the restaurant when we walked in. This place is cute, private, has great good food, and service. Their menu is very small, but I was still having trouble deciding what I wanted to eat for dinner. Finally decided on the Tile fish....Yeah I know, I was like. Was told that they're like human beings because they eat just about anything in the sea. No idea if that's true or not, but I'll take it. The dish was light and full of flavor. Tried some of my friend's Salmon/Udon dish and I actually think his was the better choice. The salmon went very well with the udon. Noodles were kind of firm and juices full of flavor. Plenty of parking in their private lot. Looks like they may share it with businesses/hotel in the area. I'd eat here again. The décor and feel was okay, nothing amazing or memorable.

I did struggle finding something that excited me. It was your typical upscale but unimaginative menu. However, I am pleased to say that the food was delicious and the portions were very good. The wait staff was outstanding. Very often, during a business meeting at other restaurants, I have had waitors interrupt the train of thought ... or mid-sebtence swoop in and ask if everything is alright or if more drinks are needed. Here, our waitress did a great job of appearing during very good times and not being overbearing, yet at the same time being helpful and attentive. The atmosphere is okay. Inside is kind of typical of an upscale corporate event-style venue. The upper outside deck is fantastic with views of the water and comfortable seating. I would come back if I was in the area. Though there are better food options elsewhere in the Hamptons, for a sit down restaurant that you can do business in, it hits all the right notes. Prices are high, as expected, in the Hamptons.

Came here with my wife and father in law a few weeks ago and the food and service was solid. Came on slow day so we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves, but I really enjoyed the food. Fathers in law got the poke tuna nachos and it was very good! Not the biggest tuna person but the flavor was excellent! My wife got bang bang shrimp with fries and the shrimp was very good! Shrimp was cut into small pieces and wasn't overly covered with sauce. Shrimp had great flavor and the French fries were very good. I got a steak bowl that came with rice, beans, avocado, sweet plantain, and a nice veggie slaw. The bowl was very good and the steak was pounded out and just very good. The bartender Tara & her sister were great! I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a new place to try. The food and service were great. Look forward to trying other things off the menu

Onto my meal, I got the filet taco, boom shrimp taco, and the hot honey chicken. They were all so delicious and yummy, I can tell they took their time creating each taco into a masterpiece. I loved the boom shrimp the most, then the hot honey, and then the filet taco the least, but all of these were so delicious I loved it! The boom shrimp is a delicious trip into the savory tastes of shrimp and the sea. I loved the addition of tomatoes, fresh lettuce, and avocados, drizzled in ranch. The filet taco is a great feast of filet steak and crispy crunchy onions. Lastly the hot honey chicken was great with purple lettuce, corn, pickles, and more fresh delicious veggies. I loved all the tacos so much and if I come back to the area I'd definitely come back, a must go to! Service/ambiance: First off the waiters came to us quickly with a nice refreshing water pitcher with lemons. It was a nice day out but not too hot, inside was nice and cool with the ac but not too cold, a nice balance. Not too loud of a place but nice and chill with a light speaker with music playing in the background. This in my opinion is a huge upgrade to the last location in Northport, this is much bigger and it looks cleaner. Something that stood out to me was that there was no men's sign on the bathroom, but there was on the ladies. I don't know if they're discriminated or something, but that was something, but besides that the bathrooms were very squeaky clean.

It was still early in the night but prime happy hour time. The bartender eventually came out to ask us what we wanted, then told us she was sorry but had to go back to cutting fruit in the back. Which is fine, you get in the weeds sometimes sure. Once she was back we put in some New England Clam Chowder, then a few more people sat at the bar including her wine rep. We'd been trying to order another round for a bit when a guy who seemed to be one of her regulars came up and ordered food to go, but no drink, which she immediately started pressing him on loudly, saying "If you don't order a drink you don't stay long, and then I'm going to be so f*cking bored here..." I guess having a bar with other people who want a drink is boring? Her conversation with this man continued and was kind of inappropriate - she talked about wanting to dropkick some kids at one point, which, what? Why? We had considered staying longer and ordering dinner but the vibes were off, so we called it a day and closed out. Sucks, because the clam chowder was decent and the views were great.

We had a view of the marina and as we chatted, we watched boats dock and then placed our orders. The Captain's Calamari appetizer was delightfully tender and the dipping sauce smelled and tasted delicious. My Aunt said the Shrimp and Crab Roll was very tasty and the Brioche Roll looked good as well. I ordered the Napeague Steamers and blame myself for not reading the fine print. Steamers are meant to be in broth and dipped in butter, these were in a garlic, white wine, butter sauce with no butter to dip in. (I'm fixed on how steamers are meant to be eaten and don't blame Captain Jack on this.) Next time, I think I'll try the Bouillabaisse.

I was in heaven enjoying this soup. It was nice to have indoor seating. I didn't notice any picnic tables outside? First impression: Shinnecock Lobster Factory Lobster Roll Bread? Stale The Lobster Roll? I can never find the perfect Lobster Roll on Long Island. I don't get it, New England is kicking our tails (See what I did there?) Lobster: It wasn't coated in butter but a mayo-y mess I ordered the biggest, baddest Lobster Roll they offer. It was meaty but with filler meat like parts of the claw. After I ate the big chucks of cold lobster coated with mayo and was left with cheaper part of the lobster, IMHO the roll wasn't worth the expensive upcharge. My wife ordered a Fried Fish platter. It came with three large pieces of fresh fish. The fish was lightly coated in batter and fried gold brown. The french fries were good as well as the fish, no complaints. The potato chips, I'm assuming they were homemade but after a few minutes became cold and oily, it didn't want me craving more. The Shinnecock Lobster Factory got the lobster bisque down, if they can work on the lobster roll this place would be 5 stars hands down.
