These guys are awesome! After my recent experience, I wouldn't considering using anyone else but Pope Tree Service. I've used other tree companies in Ramona / Julian area in the past years and even on a good day, those "other guys" are par at best (if you're lucky)! What I liked most about my experience was, my appointment was scheduled right away. I didn't have to wait weeks or even months like I did with the "other guys" to get my trees trimmed. I was referred to Pope Tree Service by a neighbor after a bad experience with another company. The guy came by, game me an estimate that I knew was way too low and I never heard from him again. I called Pope Tree Service and spoke to Paul. He responded right away, walked the property with me and gave me an estimate on the spot. He was friendly and professional. He gave me tips on how to care for some of the trees that I didn't want to cut down. He emailed me a written estimate that was fair and reasonable. It was the same as his previous estimate. The work began within a week. The crew did an amazing job removing all of the large palm trees from my property, trimming trees and removing some smaller trees. They also removed old tree stumps left by the previous owner. The property looks so much better and I couldn't be happier with the work and clean up that was done afterwards. Today they came to trim our trees and after 30 years of hiring companies, we had the BEST SERVICE we have ever had! Our trees look fantastic! I'm so grateful that I found Pope Tree Services. I had struggled finding help with trimming the overgrown trees along my driveway. Pope Tree Services showed up & did the job so well. I will now be able to notify the propane company that the trees are trimmed & ready for their next delivery without bumping their mirrors & scratching the truck. Pope tree service came to trim our trees within 3 days of contact. They finished the job in 2 days, cleaning up nicely. While here, they accidentally ran over and cracked the septic tank lid but replaced it immediately. Two days after we had paid them, we discovered that some inner workings of the septic system were also damaged. A plumber/septic service fixed the problem and we let Pope know. They were extremely apologetic, took full responsibility and sent a check in the mail which covered plumbing repair costs. very ethical company which we would highly recommend. read more

What else can I say about Pope Tree Service other than they are great. The crews that came out knew their business. I learned more about the trees and bushes in my yard than I had ever known before. The days were hot when they were here but they always had Smiles on their faces and friendly comments when I came out to see how they were doing. My yard has never looked as good as it does now. The result is a stunning view, room for our garden, with no trace that they were here. We asked to use the chips for landscaping and our compost and they were happy to oblige. AMAZING! Pope was absolutely fantastic. I had 5 very mature oaks treated for beetle last summer and trimmed this Jan. The price was very fair and its not a whack and hack. The main trimmer worked like an artist. Its always scary to have very slow growing beautiful trees trimmed. They came out looking as good as before but without the dead wood. They also did amazing clean up work and Bruce is very knowledgeable. read more

Very impressed with their service. They showed up on time, brought their chipper and proceeded to trim trees, palms and brush on my acreage, making it more fire resistant. I was impressed that the workers actually remembered to close gates when they were finished so that the dogs didn't escape. They raked up everything after trimming and chipping. The crew was awesome! They really went the extra mile for us. Instead of leaving one big pile of chips like the other guys, they used the chipper to spread them over the area they needed to go!
