Still disappointing & frustrating. We've lived in the neighborhood for 10 yrs, and this particular Popeyes has ALWAYS struggled. We give them a shot once a year but nothing ever changes. We placed our $56 order for 4 meals on their app today for 5p pickup. I arrived at 5:06p and was told at the drive up window to park in the lot and they would deliver it to my car in 10min. 25 min later I was still sitting there. I tried calling (snowy day, I walk with crutches), but no one answered. I pulled back into the drive thru at 5:36p and was told it was finally ready. I got home only to discover we were missing 2 drinks, 2 sides, and nearly all the requested sauces. We give up. We would love to support neighborhood businesses, but this is the definition of futility. The owners reply to bad reviews here but never actually do anything to improve their operations. My husband and I ordered the Ghost pepper wings, chicken tenders, chicken sandwich, mac and cheese, fries, and biscuits. The wings had a good amount of meat on them. They had a nice crunch exterior and tender interior. The breading on the chicken tenders is amazing! Their chicken sandwich is by far the BEST! We loved their mac and cheese, fries, and biscuits too. I think customers are more likely to leave a bad review, as opposed to saying anything positive. I stopped by for the re-release of their chicken sandwich on national sandwich day. I got here early and was expecting a line. I approached the GM, while she was outside adding signs, to confirm that the sandwich wss indeed back for today. I brought up their negative reviews here, and she commented that they need to do better. I had eaten the sandwich when it first appeared on their menu, before the sandwich war. I enjoy them. The mashed potatoes and gravy could have been warmer though and the green beans weren't available yet. I had no issues with the staff and they seemed friendly. I usually don't come to this location, I had breakfast down the street at Millie's earlier and had hung out here vs going to the one in West Aurora by my home. This place is hit or miss. Just ordered a chicken sandwich, got home, and it was so old and soggy. Disgusting!

We went through the drive through on a road trip. At first, I was concerned the order taker wasn't going to get my order right, but I ended up getting everything I wanted exactly right. AND it was made fresh. They wanted me that it'd be a few minutes, but I didn't mind at all. I parked and waiting maybe 6 minutes before they brought it out. We got our drinks when we paid, and since we waited they gave us extra chicken! We each got one extra tender and they reaaally hooked us up with the sauces. Placed sandwhich and 2-pieces order for pickup at 1:40. When I went to pick it up, I was told there would be a 10 minute wait. At 2:20 I asked them to cancel the order. No apology from employee Chloe. She said to cancel the order through the app. Other employee meekly (Chloe is kinda scary) tells her my order just came up. Standing right in front of me Chloe tells him "He doesn't want it." She had the employee put the food back to be re-served. For no apology, not offering the now ready order, a curt snippy manner and attitude, Chloe is awarded the Passive Agressive Terrible Service Award. This location in turn loses a customer. ok so normally I've had really good classic chicken sandwiches from popeyes, and their fries are always tasty. This one on lake street in addison was normally good too. But tonight the sandwich was horribly disgusting. I don't know if it was because the chicken was prepared wrong so it cooked poorly, or if it was just a horrible piece of chicken, but the chicken was a ball of meat rather than flattened out like normal. The fries were good but the chicken just was chewy as rubber. I'm not sure if it was cartilage in there or just dense meat but I couldn't eat more than half of the sandwich. I go to this Popeyes a lot (I'm currently the Duchess with my many check-ins) but I don't go frequently because every time I've gone, it's been a chaotic mess. To say the least, they always have new people working there. Something always goes wrong. They're always out of chicken and you will always have to wait. And worst of all, the employees are always rude and condescending. I think they forget the point of their job is customer service. Today I went in with a coupon (that was mailed to my house-since I live in the neighborhood) and upon arrival, I was hastily greeted by Clarence-someone I've never seen before at this location. I tried to figure out his title, he had keys to something, so I wasn't sure if he was management or not. Regardless, I told him I had a coupon and handed it to him. He took literally 3 minutes inspecting my coupon as if he was a Fraud Coupon Detective. He then handed the coupon back to me, and told me I couldn't use it because it was for the Popeyes on Mill Road (the address was partially missing since I cut the coupon to bring it to Popeyes). I told him this was the Popeyes on Mill Road and Lake Street in Addison. He had the audacity to tell ME to calm down. As if he didn't just try to stop me from using a perfectly good, not expired coupon, intended for that location. Disgraceful. Then I had to repeat my order 5-6 times as he fumbled with the register and couldn't get his act together. Couldn't figure out how to give me the coupon deal and had to ask someone else for assistance (making me think maybe he's just new). Then he told me it was a 15-20 minute wait for mild chicken tenders. I obliged since I was there for that. The whole interaction was annoying at best. He was condescending and patronizing the whole time. I've had several similar interactions at this particular location. It's disheartening to like the food but constantly have to deal with nasty attitudes and shitty service just to enjoy Popeyes. It's not worth it. I was so excited when this location opened. I was hopeful since it is so close to home. I have no idea who does the hiring hear or what the requirements are, but they need to figure it out. Maybe it's the training regimen. My go to Popeye's during lunch. Way better than a different t location I went to. This place has been my favorite spot for fried chicken and their pretty consistently juicy and more flavor chicken sandwich . Food was so fresh. The employees here are very commendable, very fast, attentive and going extra mile to deliver your orders. So far this is the fastest serving Popeye's I have experienced. I will definitely be back for more great service. This store should serve as an example for the other Popeye's stores. This location is consistently doing a great job.
