Date: 2-July-2024 Time: Lunch Total (before tip): $7.00 Payment type: Cash Server: Ordered at the counter Grade: B- I have been craving some hot dogs, so I decided to go to the place for lunch. The place looked dead! I ordered double (as in two dogs in one bun) hotdog and fries. After paying, while waiting, I overheard the only other customer ask for a soda refill and it was a dollar... Like seriously?! Also the place is cash only, so be warned. A customer after me came in and had to use on-premise ATM to get some cash out to pay for her food. Not judging here, but that is very convenient way to make some extra cash for a business by having an ATM on-premise. It did not take long for my food to come out. The size was about what I expected it to be. I started with the fries and they were pretty delicious, hand cut and made to order. Hotdog on the hand was alright, nothing too special, typical hotdog. Overall B- experience! The whole $1 refills and cash only, but you can use our ATM situation, bothered me a little, but I will come back and try something else.

Great food and excellent service, my family and I go every summer and it just gets better and better every time we go.

This place is cash only. We ordered a chili cheese dog, hot dog and my wife ordered an Italian beef. The chili cheese dog was very good. Not many places get their chili right but Ginas definitely did. Their hot dog was also good. Not the best I've ever had but not bad either. One of my biggest pet peeves is a bun with no poppy seeds. It's rare when I enjoy a hot dog without poppy seeds. Believe it or not the poppy seeds actually add an extra flavor to a dog. The fries however were on point. I only took a couple bites from my wife's Italian beef. Beef seemed a little rubbery with no spices. I definitely won't be ordering that next time I come here. Overall I probably will return.

If your lookin for a snappy dog, look no further, Gina's got it and it's good. Somewhat skinny, but definitely snappy and yes, it's a natural casing Vienna dog. Home cut fries are also good and so is the grease. A very potatoey bite, kindof like mom would make. Beef was better than I imagined. If your craving this, I give it the green light. Go for it. What I really really love at this little divey joint? Their Italian Ice! Some of the tastiest around. Tart and not too sweet. Just right. They make their own and offer a nice selection of flavors. Comes in 3 sizes. I've only had the lemon, but can't wait to try more. Watermelon, raspberry, mango, pineapple...etc. There is no monkey business here. You give your order to the guy in the kitchen and your money to the woman behind the register, and you wait for your food. CASH ONLY. Imterior is small, a few tables. In the summer, just park yourself at one of the outdoor picnic tables. My sis has been raving about this place, so I'm glad I finally made the visit here with her. It's been around a long time and for good reason. Come for the dogs, stay for the Italian Ice..

I just love this place. This place has one of the best hot dogs in town. Yummmmmy!! Love the Italian ice, too.

Neon green coming off of the relish is dying my hotdog bun was soggy, and the Definitely do not give enough fries. Still it all was tastey

I live in the area and everyone told me you gotta check out Ginas for hot dogs that are as good as Gene and Judes hotdogs. Upon my visit the place is really dingy inside I expected a little bit nicer looking of an establishment, but Gene and Judes also looks like crap but no one cares because their hotdogs are awesome!! On to the hot dog. Not bad had a nice smokyness to it it was not snappy, they put the fries on top just like Gene and Judes... but they put way less fries on the hotdog. One thing i did not care for was the neon dye that came off the relish.. it made the bun soggy green.. not super Appetizing. Are they better then gene and judes... No Are they still good... yes with some flaws Will I be back... yes Like I always say this is just my opinion I will check it out for yourself.

Well that's exactly what happened at this Jimmy John's location here in Bensenville. Ricardo is terrible, possibly giving me the worst overall experience at a quick service restaurant, screams unprofessionally managed. I would question the cleanliness of their establishment and the food quality. I place an order around 10:55AM for ASAP timing for two sandwiches and visit the store closer to 11:10AM to pickup my order. The door is locked and there is no one to be seen. I call the store and a few minutes later Ricardo comes to unlock the door. I request for my food and Ricardo falsely claims my order was a scheduled order for 1:30PM, not even asking my order name or such. He said to come back in 20 minutes. I leave and come back 20 minutes later and Ricardo is preparing some catering order. After telling him that's not my order, and showing him the details of my order, that it was placed for asap timing, he apologies and offers me a 2.99 fountain drink as compensation. At this point it's been over 40 minutes and I have no food. I request for him to just give me a refund, and if possible any other accommodation for the time wasted. He says a refund is all he can offer and rudely tells me to get out the store.

Since it was our first visit, we said we needed a minute to look over the menu. The cashier really friendly and told us to take our time and let them know if we had any questions, and also told us about the daily special and rewards program. Our order was ready pretty quickly, and the employee who handed it to us was just as friendly and helpful, and answered another question I had about the rewards program. BOTH employees COULD NOT HAVE BEEN NICER. I had an issue with my Toast rewards account, and the owner/manager took my information and said it would be resolved by the next day. The issue did get resolved as promised, and I really appreciated the quick follow-through. We ordered cheesy beefs with sweet peppers, fries, and shakes. The amount of beef on the sandwich was perfect for me, not as much as pictured in the menu photos, but definitely not skimpy either. EVERYTHING we had was VERY GOOD. I was expecting the food to be good, as a few of our neighbors have had positive things to say, but I honestly wasn't expecting to put it ABOVE Portillo's and Buona Beef. Between the food, cleanliness, and exceptional service, we had a great first experience. We'll definitely be back soon to try more of the menu and especially for the $1 shakes on Saturdays!

So I had to find a new Italian deli in the area and this place had an authentic Italian sub on the menu with prosciutto, Genoa salami, capicola, provolone cheese, Italian dressing, lettuce and tomato that I added raw onions, hot giardiniera and mayo. It's a deli/mini mart/gambling machine/cafe with friendly service. The meats were skimpy was my first thought, see my pictures. My first thought after taking the first bite was WOW this Italian hoagie bread was perfect/fresh with that great chew/pull. Even with the skimpy meat the whole combination with me tweaking the sandwich was so fu#king delicious I got a second one to take back to WI for dinner. The area probably has a better Italian deli the residents will tell you but I'm in town once a year so next year I will try another Italian deli until I find one to start a new tradition like my old friend for many years that is no more. My final thought is that the price point is similar to the chain sub restaurants with a high quality sub sandwich and why anyone in the area that goes to a chain with this gem is beyond me because they do an authentic Italian sub very well.

I quickly ordered the two meat combo with chopped brisket and pulled pork. I got the green chili, Mac and cheese as a side, as well as the classic coleslaw. All right - the ambience was just perfect for a small barbecue place. The food came quickly, but I noted it wasn't quite right. I had asked for chopped brisket not sliced brisket. Not a crime against humanity, true, but still I didn't complain and I decided to go ahead and eat it anyway. So how was it? Well, I slathered on sweet rays barbecue sauce, and ate like crazy. The meat was pretty darn good! The green chili mac & cheese was delicious- can't say that the coleslaw was to my taste, but there was nothing wrong with it. The cornbread was fantastic. The only reason for the demerit? Was that I ordered chopped brisket and got sliced. Will I come here again? Yes, yes I think I shall! And I think you should try it too if you like barbecue.
