Worst Popeyes I've ever been to. They were out of almost everything at 10:00PM on a Saturday night and waited 30 minutes for what I did order. Ordered a five piece with two sides and biscuits ( only $9.99 with coupon) and a three piece and biscuit (5 dollar special) and the nice young guy taking my order said they didn't have legs and thighs ready but could substitute breasts and wings. That definitely worked for me. Service was fast and friendly and I quickly received my order. Chicken was hot and tasty ( spicy has a nice kick) and my wife liked the Mac and cheese for flavor and "cheesiness". Mashed potatoes are good with nicely spiced gravy. All right, so I fall back to tenders and decide to try their new cheesy bites. Well, you can see what that got me in The Photos. I paid four dollars for this underfilled container of cheesy bites. My fries were also underfilled. And then let's get the tenders. You can see how paltry they were as well. Some were fresh. Some were not. And to finish off, I noticed that someone put the sweet tea in the unsweetened container and visa versa. Mentioned it to the guy behind the counter and just got a shrug. I have come to this location multiple times for pick up orders. The customer service is terrible. I rarely leave reviews but after again having terrible customer service today, I wanted to see what other people were experiencing by checking Yelp reviews and sure enough, same thing is happening to others. The female "manager" that's been mentioned in multiple reviews is definitely not leading by example. Allen is an amazing community and it's upsetting to have this going on here, not to mention the store is fairly new. Maybe Yelp isn't the place to be putting reviews so I'll be checking the corporate website to see if there's a place there to report this. I don't usually write reviews, but I've had it with the Popeye's on Ave K and Bethany in Allen Texas. If you come here late, they will re-fry already fried chicken and it tastes like rubber. Many times I have come at lunch or dinner and they tell me the drive through is closed. No other fast food place does this. There are so many other chicken places to go to near by which is what I did today. I doubt anyone cares about your Ave k and Spring Creek location unless they are under completely different management. read more

This new location is popping and rocking!! We decided to pick up a big spicy chicken family pack on the way home for dinner. So nice to have a Popeyes close to home. When we arrived the drive through had two huge lines coming from two different directions. We decided to park and go in. There was a large line inside too. They messed up our order, but with a little communication we got it fixed. People were walking up saying the drink dispenser was out of coke and ice. In general, people were irritated and inpatient. The staff was obviously new trainees, young people, trying their best to work under the peak dinner hour, very stressed out working with each other and with so many inpatient people. But for us, we loved our chicken from Popeyes. Delicious crispy batter, mashed potatoes and biscuits. Yum!! Leftovers were delicious the next day. Who doesn't love cold fried chicken?!? It's difficult to judge fast food places. Everyone knows they all have a high staff turn over and they are a hit or miss. Popeyes is usually pretty good. I ordered my food and it smelled so good (I was super hungry). I drove about 6 minutes home and realized that I'd forgotten to stop to get something my mom asked for. Left the food, went and got mom's items, came back and the chicken was still HOT and FRESH! I couldn't even get a pic before devouring most of it. Quick, fast, friendly service and fresh food. We visited at about noon and they were very busy. Juan was at the front taking orders and taking payment. While handling customers, ptevious customers came asking for extra sauce, ketchup, etc. He handled these while processing new orders. He was very efficient and greeted the customers in a friendly and courteous manner. Even tho we had to wait a while to be served and to get our food, we didnt mind because we saw that Juan was handling things very efficiently and treated all as tho they were important. Been to this location a few times since it opened and ALWAYS an issue at this location. The manager (young girl) always seems bothered when you go inside and does a like sigh when you walk in. The food at other locations is always hot and crispy but here it's almost like warm as if it's been sitting out awhile.
