I'm not sure if they were short staffed or what happened during this visit. We wanted a quick meal but we waited 25 minutes for in house service while the drive through seemed to be quicker. The restaurant was a mess. It was hard to find a clean place to sit and they were out of everything. No napkins, straws or sauces to be found. We said we were eating in but it was given to us in a to go bag. My husband's chicken was a mess. One was hot and the other cold. He got a biscuit but no butter or honey. He didn't want to wait in line to ask for anything else. My daughter's sizzling siracha dippers and fries were good but also later than the rest of our meal. We were pretty much done eating by the time her food was ready. My chicken sandwich was fine, I like the pickles to offset the heat. I don't know when I'll be back to this establishment. I only get the classic chicken sandwich sometimes with cheese sometimes without. Some Popeyes it comes out perfect and some it comes out crappy and cold. I saw all the bad reviews so I wanted to give a good one because this sandwich came out perfect! Crispy, good juicy chicken and the bread was warm! We had such a lovely experience here this evening while dining in. We typically would have eaten in the car on the way home. We saw such beautiful Christmas lights from the parking lot and we decided to dine-in. We never dine in fast food restaurants but this atmosphere was so festive. We were greeted by a very professional person behind the counter and his name was Onix. He was patient and helpful with answering any questions we had with such kindness. A huge shoutout to him! Janet was also very professional and very sweet. The restroom was extremely clean. Water from sink was very cold though - didn't have hot water come out when I washed my hands. Our food was presented very well, hot, and delicious. The sauces offered here are so great! I do wish iced tea was offered and bonus points for beignets. Thank you so much! We have been excited for months to try the Popeyes chicken sandwich and compare it to our long time favorite at Chic Fil A. We all ordered the spicy sandwich and an assortment of sides. The sandwich was really, really good, but too spicy for me. In the future, yes it was that good that I am planning to return, I will order original no spice. Our sides were all good, we weren't blown away, but we did finish everything. The verdict: The 2 southerners at the table who had grown up on CFA, preferred it over Popeyes. The hubs who has just recently started eating at CFA preferred Popeyes. We all loved the biscuits and devoured them. This location has some pretty questionable customer service/practices. Multiple times in the past I've gone around 9pm only to be told they were out of common items like fries or chicken sandwiches. Thought it was strange, but thought they were waiting on a delivery. Got told that again on my most recent visit for the fries and chicken sandwiches. Finally I asked "how is it you guys consistently run out of these?" Turns out they don't, they just close the kitchen early, and there's nobody around to cook more food. Yes, that means they're closing the kitchen at least 1.5 to 2 HOURS before the store closes. So guess how long your food has been sitting around if you come in closer to closing and actually get something? That's right, hours. I could understand if it was the last 20-30 minutes, but 2 hours?! Why even bother keeping the restaurant open if you can't do something as simple as making more fries for the last 2 hours?
