Every single time I stop here there is a problem. Often out of items, food needs to be cooked (but you have to ask them to cook it), and just overall poorly run. How are you "out" of tenders at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon? They did drop some more but, why do I need to ask the staff to cook more? That should be an automatic action when you have customers and the steam table is out of an item. I looked over the reviews and see that I am not the only one who has had these service related issues. I've gone there off and on for years. I like the food, but the drive thru gets your order wrong about 30% of the time. No matter what side you order, expect to get fries. Check before you leave the window. They often turn a drink to a large or a 3 piece into a 5 piece. And yes, they did tend to run out of items constantly but that has gotten better. A few days ago, I pulled up to the drive thru and while the car window was going down, I heard a voice, so I started to place my order. After a few words, the girl working came back on the speaker and angrily barked HOLD ON!! That's was enough for me. I left and won't be back. Slim Chickens on 2nd and Kelly is better anyway but it's more traffic to get to. Seriously, this place needs to get a new manager, shut down a few days and retrain or hire new employees. Well, against my better judgment I figured I would give this location a chance, despite all the bad reviews. Those folks are not wrong, and those reviews are on the money. I ordered a 3 piece spicy combo with a biscuit and red beans & rice. What I got was a 15 minute wait in the drive through line and a 3 piece regular combo with a biscuit and Cajun fries--not my order. The biscuit smelled so terrible I couldn't eat it, the fries were dried out, and the chicken was clearly reheated instead of made fresh. Also, the location was out of Coke, Diet Coke, Dr Pepper, and Diet Dr Pepper. Save your time and money and head on down to KFC or some other local chicken chain. The sandwich had no sauce or toppings, just a piece of chicken between bread, and instead of a side of mac and cheese (30¢ extra), the workers gave us beans and rice. The food was lukewarm. I have tried the Edmond Popeye's twice now, the second rime to see if maybe the awfulness of the chicken the first time was a fluke. The second try was worse. This place and the manager working tonight are terrible. I waited for 5 minutes at the drive thru without anyone even greeting me or asking me to wait, so I decided to park and place my order inside. When I went inside, I was shouted at by who I assume was the manager, based on his uniform, saying that the lobby was closed...but the doors weren't locked, and it was like 7:45. I told him I just waited in the drive thru for 5 minutes, but he completely ignored that and continued to yell at me and tell me the lobby was closed and that he couldn't take my order. There were like 6 or 7 people working, and when I left, the same two cars that had been ahead of me were still there. It blows my mind how they could be so incompetent and slow with that many people working. I cannot believe how completely rude he was for no reason. I've been there before and this place is always slow, and the food is mediocre, so I will definitely not be going back. Do not waste your time.
