Someone might ask why I returned to the same store..... it's very close to home and it said open. On 7/27 there was a sign over the drive thru stating they were closed 7/26 yet still closed the following day.... Soooo why was my money taken? Yet once again on my way to work TODAY there is yet another sign stating the store was closed on 7/29 yet they were closed today on 7/30.... I pulled around to the pic up window seeing an employee obviously who waved to me they were closed. Corporate has been anything but helpful. I will continue leaving them horrible reviews on every single platform I can find. I now see why many of their locations are closed because clearly they really don't give a damn. I won't return to this Popeyes or any other as this is unacceptable customer care. Nothing can be improved on poor training from the top down. This particular location for Popeye's in Griffith, IN is the worst in the area of chicken places...it gives Popeye's such a bad name. I would hope the corporate office would pay a surprise visit just to see how horrible their service is at this location. Phones ringing off the hook with no care by the employees to answer them. Foul language being yelled out from the kitchen staff. Rude counter employees not wanting to help you. Every single time I have gone (and it's been three total) in person I have had nothing but problems. I'm not always going just for me. Sometimes I'm picking food up for a friend or family member. Items are missing, food is cold and the quality is poor. There are some decent Popeye's locations - but this is NOT one of them. The parking lot is awful - full of potholes and garbage. The store itself is never stocked or put together well. Today I had a $10 credit and since I had to stay at home watching the food I was cooking for tomorrow's food event, I ordered delivery. We also paid for some extra sauces for our cajun fries. Our order was delivered but we were missing half of it. How do you contact them? They blame the Doordash delivery driver and Doordash doesn't allow you to contact the driver. So I am stuck in the middle. Worst restaurant establishment I've ever been in. I've worked in the food industry for 10+ years. I ordered online and when I got there it took 45 minutes just to get my food cold. The door was locked and it took forever for another waiting customer to let me know to go around the entire building to get inside. I've never waited for chicken this long in my life. When I was there the manager and other workers were complaining about other managers and coworkers the entire time, instead of worrying about my food. Last night, I waited in a slow-moving drive-thru line for my food: I asked for the family meal (mild), red beans & rice and settled on the mashed potatoes since they were out of mac-n-cheese. Usually, Popeyes has pretty good offerings but this visit at this locations was the worst of my experience here. After settling in at home, I realized the chicken pieces were all spicy, the rice was very bland, but the mashed potatoes turned out to be the best of my choices. Referring to the Popeyes in Griffith Indiana: From the moment you pull up to the drive through electronic sign to order your meal you should realize you will be neglected as a customer more than their landscaping is neglected with it's 2 foot high weeds. It took about 10 minutes for me to provide my order at 5pm on a Monday, the price was high and I sat in the parking lot for 45 minutes (by time stamped receipt) until I finally walked inside to get my order. It appeared lost, the cook claiming he was inside and it was not his responsibility and the other employee looked clueless and a third addressed my order with apologies and offered a food bribe for the terrible service. Ok, can I just get 2-12 piece chicken only and got hit with this WE ONLY GOT BREAST & WINGS MEDIUM, NO SPICY. Arrived and the order wasn't even started, and the employees don't care at all. While waiting, other customers came in, placed an order and received their order before my order was filled. And to add that my orders were never special or complicated. I think Popeyes has some of the best chicken but corporate needs to do an employee revision.
