Cheap b@stards! I ordered the flounder sandwich on the app. By default it comes without tartar sauce. There is no way of adding it on the app you can only edit the pickle. When I went to pickup the order I told them I would like tartar sauce added to the sandwich. I explained that the app by default would not allow me to add it myself. I was told that it would be an additional $1 to add the sauce. I spent $30 on this order and they would not even add the sauce I was supposed to get it the first place. I LOVE THIS POPEYES LOCATION!!!!! When a service is so good that you have to talk about it, this is what I'm experiencing! I go to the Popeyes in Mount Prospect located at 1790 West Algonquin Rd. every week without fail. This is by far the best Popeyes restaurant I have ever visited. The manager Eva is the absolute best. She is kind, respectful, very helpful and efficient. The food is very tasty and hot. The staff is really really nice and they go out of their way to be very kind to everyone. At least when I'm there I can't speak about other people's experience. I've been going to this Popeyes for over 25 years. When I say that I always have a great experience, good food. Sandwiches missing ingredients, food quality poor and temperature cold. Usually I'd call and speak to a manager, given how poor reviews look here, I'm not sure it's worth. Some blame would be applied to how Uber decides which location to push the order to. Given where I was at the time of placing the order, it makes no sense that food traveled from the nw suburbs. Probably the worst Popeyes I've never been to. The first time we ordered from them, they got our group order totally wrong and missed several items. They also gave me the driest red beans and rice ever..it was basically just rice. Today, I figured I'd try them again on my own from the drive-thru. I was highly disappointed yesterday with this location. I ordered from here to find out hair is in my food. I kindly returned back to the store location and spoke with the employee. I noticed the cook in the kitchen didn't have a hairnet on, and neither did the employee I had spoken with. I stated that I had hair in my food, and when showing her, she acted as if she couldn't see it, so when I proceeded to pull the hair out, she began to act in shock, asking, "What is this?". I proceeded to tell her it's hair in my food that I retrieved from this location. It's hard to have a WORSE experience at a restaurant. Went to the drive thru, and the attendant said she didn't understand my order (I ordered two chicken sandwiches and two sides). Once I paid, I noticed the chaos inside. The window attendant said they were behind and to pull up, and it would be 2 minutes. I noticed one other customer already pulled over and waiting. Came here amid the chicken sandwich hype. Generally speaking though, I do love that chicken from Popeyes. Their chicken fingers are fantastic, and I just love the breading. Whatever spices or recipe they use, it's fantastic, it has the perfect crunch and flavor, a one-two knockout for your taste buds. This Popeyes was A-OK for me. We came here on a Thursday evening, near closing, and there was no line. The wait was barely 2 minutes. Unfortunately, they ran out of the spicy chicken sandwich, so I settled for the regular chicken sandwich. The soda fountain is setup on the counter, but sideways, I couldn't tell if it was a help yourself thing, or a staff thing. The chicken sandwich was A-OK. I honestly wouldn't wait 45-minutes for the sandwich.... I probably wouldn't wait 5-minutes for the thing. The sandwich was on a buttery brioche bun, which I think sets this sandwich apart from other places. The sandwich consisted of thick-cut pickles and a pretty generous chicken breast, drizzled with mayo. Well, I guess I can say that I tried it. Considering it was the end of the day, the restaurant was looking pretty dingy. Their chicken trays where they stage their fried chicken was filled with breading crumbs and I was too scared to really look at their semi-open kitchen or bathroom. Their booths were you sit down on were looking dingy as well. It's one of those places where you know you'll need to wash your clothes when you get home. I'll rate it CTA-clean. Yes, Chicago Transit Authority clean. Protip is to just go through the drive thru so you're not aware of the cleanliness of the inside. But in terms of the food, it was A-OK on this visit. read more
