When i got the sandwiches, both were classic rather than a spicy and a classic. It wasnt worth going back and get it exchanged. My wife and I have been eating out very scarcely this year but decided, after hearing amazing things, to try the Popeyes Chicken sandwich. We ordered with the app and when we arrived we still had to wait through the drive in line but no big deal. We had ordered 2 regular chicken sandwiches and an additional one without mayo for my wife. After waiting through 15-20 minute drive thru line we received our bag and started to exit. My wife was looking in the bag and we didn't receive her sandwich with no mayo. I tried to call the restaurant but the Phone rang and rang and no one picked up. Had to get back in line for another 20 minute wait for her sandwich. Not cool, Popeyes. I love the chicken at Popeyes but their web site is the pits. No matter what you do you can not get a look at their menu. There is a menu button it takes you to a picture of one item. It would be great to know what you want to order or if there are any promos before you array the store. They also seem to be promotionally handicapped, they have very few promos. There is nothing really specific to Popeye's that fully separates it from its brothers, KFC or Chick Fillet. I do like that their chicken is spicier than the others and their mash gravy is quite good. Onion Rings are also always a plus. The only reason besides vanity, that I would waste my valuable time doing a review of Popeys, is to introduce you to Jon. Jon is what I like to call, a living SNL sketch, performed by Chris Farley. I was thouroughly entertained by his antics. Here is how this comedy plays out. You walk up to the counter and Jon greets you with a good natured, awwwshucks, bucktoothed smile. His spiel doesnt change or waver from one customer to the next. Jon (cordially, minus the fakeness that one usually gets at such places): Hi and welcome to Popeyes, may I take your order?" Me (and others like me): Yes, Id like the 3 chicken strips m- Jon (interrupting loudly, to someone in the back): I NEED 3 CHICKEN STRIPS!!! The someone in the back (to Jon): 3 chicken strips! Heard it! Thank You! Jon (turning back) - Would you like the combo? Me (somewhat shaken) : Uh , yes but with onion rings instead of- Jon ( turning and yelling again) AND 1 ORDER OF ONION RINGS! Guy in back: 1 Onion Rings order! Heard it! Thank you! Jon finished me off with his spiel about going to the website printed on the back of my reciept and that I could possibly win an Ipod or $1000. Once I had my food, I sat where I had a front row seat to the Jon Show. He did the same thing with everyone, his script and style never changing. I couldnt help but wonder if Popeyes is too cheap to get a computer system so that he wouldnt have to scream back or if this was just something he enjoyed doing. It didnt seem that they guy in the back minded getting screamed at every 30 seconds. I can imagine that Jon was one of those people, who others said wouldnt amount to much, and not that a clerk at Popeyes is any kind of high plateau, but he ruled that counter with deft experience and competance. I dont even think he was the manager. The person whom I pegged as the manager, was all too happy to give Jon the reins of the front end. If I was a manager, Jon is exactly the employee Id want. I've been to this Popeye's quite a number of times and I'm still not sure how to review it. From outside appearance at night, it's a bright, standalone fast food restaurant with indoor seating that may not be sufficient, although I've never actually been there when the restaurant is busy. One of the cashiers is quite a character, which may be good or bad depending on whether you enjoy such interaction. I do generally prefer Popeye's chicken over KFC. The restaurant interior and restroom appear reasonably well-maintained for a fast food restaurant. Overall, I think it's a good venue. read more

Ok.... apologies in advance for the long post but I think it had to be said......I usually get decent service at this location on the few occasions I visit, but today may be the last day I visit Popeyes. I understand it's 5.30 on a Wednesday and there's the dinner crowd .There was no indication that they were completely out of the item I wanted, so I , along with several other customers who stood in line for about ten minutes were dissapointed .When my order was placed, I was told there was a wait for fresh chicken, which is understandable, seeing that the place was fairly busy.This is where I noticed a couple things ...The cashier was coughing intermittently while serving customers and at one went to a service sink to spit out whatever he coughed up. He then eventually disappeared to the back of the building then eventually came back up front to handle food.... without washing his hands..he grabbed a pair of things and slowly proceeded to pack orders.. there were loose fries on the counter where the food is packaged, he just scooped them back in with the fresh fries and served them like nothing happened. Despite this, my hunger overwhelmed my better judgement and I kept the order..... I went home, started handing out the food and realized a couple things ....one..... Apparently the fries were in short supply too because I could count how many I got on one hand , I was missing a biscuit and this for the win..... One of the biscuits had what appeared to be a bite taken out of it..... I'm not making this up... Couldn't if I tried..... I was so shocked I forgot to take a damn picture.....So, I promptly packed everything back up and went back to the store and spoke to the manager, who was a bit skeptical at first but changed her mind when I showed her the biscuit. After two church services Sunday, we were hungry. I decided to take a little break from a home cooked meal. So, hubby and I decided to get take out from Popeyes. Let me tell you the chicken was nice, crispy and hot. I like the fact, we had decent size pieces of chicken. I always enjoy the biscuits, with a little butter and strawberry jam on them.
