ALL THE TABLES WERE DIRTY upon arrival, only one person was in the lobby and no in the drive thru. Saw 3 employees sitting down doing nothing. After getting our food I went to a worker and asked for napkins to clean our table, she didn't even offer to clean it for us or apologize. Alright Yelpers.....LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS INFAMOUS CHICKEN SANDWICH. I've had this sandwich three times at three different locations in two different states. My first encounter with the ICS was while on vacation in Atlanta in June. It was new to the menu, but social media hadn't discovered it yet. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. I won't lie it was BUSTIN'!!! Larger than life chicken breast, freshly cooked, creamy sauce and crisp pickles. It was a delicious sandwich, but I didnt think anything else about it. Fast forward to August 2019.... The chicken sandwich SOCIAL MEDIA beef gave this sandwich, so much clout that people began losing their minds. To the point all the chickens nationwide had an EMERGENCY MEETING to go on strike. They said...NO MORE CHICKEN BREAST FROM US!! LOL Fast forward one "MO GEN"...Nov 3rd, the comeback of the ICS has arrived. And once again people are losing their minds. I tried the sandwich for the second time at the Greenville, TX location. The wait was minimal (20 mins) once I received my spicy chicken sandwich I noticed the chicken was tremendously smaller from the first time I tried it. But it still was delicious. However today I stopped by the Rockwall, TX location where I waited 20 minutes again, for a sandwich that resembled the McChicken from the $1 menu at Mickey D's. It was premade and sitting in the window. Which made me question "Why did I have to wait for a sandwich that was already prepared?" A few months ago I order an extra $13 worth of sides and the rude employees ensured they charged me then didn't put the food in the bag. I tried calling and I got a busy signal. I called corporate they told me that's between me and the store. Fast froward to today. I get very slow service and the manager the took the order cannot speak English. I ordered $27 worth of food, I had to repeat the order several times to the manager because she couldn't understand me. I get to the widow they take my money give me the drinks (which were flat) then told me there's going to be a wait for the food. I said I don't have time for the wait and I want my money back. They call over the manager that can't speak English to run the transaction. I told her I would keep the drinks because I drank them already she looks at me and in very broken English said, "you give me back drink?" I said no I want the money back for the chicken. So she returns the money for the drinks and keeps the money for the chicken. In all I ended up paying $20 for two, flat Dr. Peppers. I was in Rockwall could not wait to go to the Popeyes off of Ridge Road for lunch. Let me tell you I was very disappointed with the chicken sandwich, first of all it was not fresh it probably had been sitting under the warming light already pre-made with mayo with the other 30 sandwiches and secondly the two pickles were wilted and the Mayo was soaked in the bun. The bun was hard and the chicken looked like it had mold on it! The only good thing on the menu is the spicy chicken sandwich. Plus their drive thru takes forever even when I'm in a rush, and they started charging you for each extra sauce which should be free. Yes I am giving this high marks. I've been to this location twice now. Both times the wait was nominal (we're talking Popeyes here so consider that your wait will be a bit longer). Each time the person working the register was polite, apologized for the wait (not needed) and thanked me for my order. Worst bunch of people I have ever seen, service was way behind and they we're struggling. Then one employee had a medical emergency and way having what seemed to be a heart attack, do you think the coworkers cared? Absolutely not, they did not lift a finger to help her. My family and I took it upon ourselves to render aid to this poor woman and get emergency services to her. The rest of the employees did nothing, not even show any concern for a fallen coworker. They even gave attitudes when we asked for the woman's belongings since she was going to be taking a ride in the ambulance. Worst bunch of people ever, the chicken was subpar as well. They forgot the fries that they charged me $3.50 for in my order. I called when I opened my order at home and asked for a refund. They refused to give me a refund unless I drove back to the location and returned with my order and would only give me cash. I called the corporate number and they would only text a response and advised me they could only give me a credit on an app. I was advised by the corporate office that this is a franchise and it was up to the franchise as to how they handled credits. Unsatisfactory! I occasionally enjoy a chicken lunch and Popeye's usually delivers but, this location is simply well below par. I've been to this location 3 times in the last couple of months and on all three occasions I've received poor service, I've been over charged because I asked for all white meat and the service is exceptionally slow. Drove up, lobby lights are on, 2 hrs before close. Drive thru had a few cars lined up and figured I'd go inside to order. As soon as I walk in, the young lady behind the counter yells, "Lobby closed, use the drive through." I know I saw the time the store closed on the door before I went in, but ok - the lobby is closed. As I'm walking to the car, the drive thru line has shortened - win. Make an order, drive up to the window and the same young lady says, "what did you order." I guess "Tre" took my order, but never input it into the system. The young lady asks, "how many cares are behind you...I don't have have orders for anyone." Apparently Tre was taking orders, but never loading them in the system.
