This would have been a 5 star review , because our 1st visit was great. Food was fresh, manager (Ray) was on point. 2nd visit not so great experience dispite the great food. So you know on the back of your receipt if you do the survey you get 2pc chicken for free with a purchase of large drink. The employee "Daffy" decided to give us a hard time over it. Previous visit we had no issue using a coupon. This time she had an attitude on honoring the code from doing the survey. Basically accusing my guy for reusing a code. Eventually she came to her senses and accepted our valid coupon code. We doubled checked our orders to make sure we had all of our stuff . Im glad I did because I would have been big mad. Our apple pies were missing! The audacity of this girl asking us if we still wanted it?!! Our pies that we paid for!!! Like girl please! Why would we pay for 2 pies and not want them? Food: This is the third occasion on which I have become ill after consuming chicken from this Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen location 13890 Old Columbia Pike. My symptoms include nausea, weakness, leg pain, and stomach pain. I am once again dealing with these symptoms immediately after eating from this location. Never again. This popeye is a hit or miss sometimes. Today was a good day. The young man who was helping us today was very good he nust straight up asked us what do we need and told us pick from the family meal or chicken only. It was pretty good i liked how quick they did it.because occasionally there were off nights when the workers before were not nice. Today they have a good team. I do like their new strawberry biscuits and ghost pepper wings but they weren't as spicy as i wanted them to be. But i have a different level of spice so probably for the regular palate they might be spicy enough. read more

The manager on duty on Tuesday Jan 6 2026 is a disgrace. I've seen this manager in action before and she is lazy and incompetent at best. On Jan 2 she scheduled a young man to come in for an interview. This was to be this young man's very first interview for his very first job. He spent the week preparing, making sure he had the right questions to ask and was prepared to answer all her questions. He got dressed up and practiced his interview skills. He arrived on time and announced he was there for his 4:00 interview. The manager he has scheduled the interview with greeted him with this- sorry, we're not hiring and walked away. This rude and inconsiderate woman wasted this young man's time and energy and made his VERY FIRST interview experience a horrible experience. She brushed him off without apology as though he were not worth her time. SHE scheduled this interview. SHE WASTED this kids time without a thought. She treated him like he was worthless. A COMMON COURTESY of cancelling the interview would have been the very LEAST she should have done. To that manager- it's no wonder you can't get decent help when you can't provide the bare minimum in leadership. Shame on you! I frequent this establishment at least twice a week, even though I am aware of the horrible management. Well, no longer. This is a newly built Popeyes (formerly Pizza Hut) in Burtonsville. It is always exciting to visit new and clean locations since there are very few in this area when compared to Rockville. We came on a Sunday evening and ordered carryout. Check out Popeyes.com for special offers before you order to save some money. There are some good deals like $19.99 chicken tenders family meal with 2 large sides and biscuits. It took up to 30 minutes for our order because the chicken tenders were being cooked. The meal itself was fresh and tasty. The customer service is not enthusiastic or friendly. Make sure you check your bag before you leave to make sure your order is correct. This Popeyes now occupies the former Pizza Hut parcel that was defunct for about 3 years at the corner of Briggs Chaney Road and Old Columbia Pike. My friend ordered some food to-go a few weeks ago, and I was quite impressed by the quality of the chicken (as far as fast food/fast casual places go). They have chicken nuggets, which I don't remember being a menu item the last time I ate at a Popeyes about 10 years ago! I ordered tonight on their website for pickup and the food was again really good! The biscuits were hot and fresh. The fries were a great portion--crispy, well seasoned, fresh, not greasy. The chicken tenders were nice and crispy and had a good amount of chicken. The chicken nuggets were a good bite-size 8 pieces. It came with only two tiny containers of sauce, so I wished they provided more. Apart from that, the parking lot is always a mess---tight, narrow, groups of teens loitering at the 7-11 and just generally in the area. I kinda wish the food wasn't good so I would not have another unhealthy food option but here we are and here we go. read more

Let me start off by saying that I don't eat fast food. This was for someone else and they ordered online. So this review is for a mobile order and believe me when I say it took a minute for the food to come out. I told them it would be a great fiasco ordering chicken on a Friday evening when the place just opened. The parking lot was packed and people were waiting everywhere. Outside, inside, in the cars and there was no drive through. I don't know why I thought they would have a drive through, but instead of a drive through they have a take out window. ( see pics) I definitely need a Tylenol after this experience. As I am writing this I am actually waiting for the food. So basically I am a glorified Uber eats driver right now! Either way this chicken better be the best they ever had because it's been at least 30 minutes. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they will eventually get it together. Brand new location but they got issues they need to work out. I was very surprised that they were putting a Popeyes in the same center as Hip Hop Chicken! I first visited a few weeks ago and I believe they had only been open a week or so. I placed a mobile order, arrived at my requested time but still had to wait at least 10 minutes.  They were just super slow but I didn't complain. I was considerate given that they were newly opened and still figuring things out. The employees were nice. I just didn't enjoy my food though. The texture of the chicken was tough and not enjoyable. Waste of money! A few nights ago I decided to give them another try. I was craving the nuggets. Again placed a mobile order. Went to the walk up window and was told they were closed because they were out of chicken. The employee was a bit rude and dismissive. I was trying to explain that I placed the order already which means I already paid. A manager who was apologetic and nicer told me they didn't receive any mobile orders but I showed the receipt on my phone and got back my money. There's a guy there "Jay" who's mastered the art of being d!©k without saying anything rude. The first thing that made me nervous was house sweaty this guy is to be handling food. He looks like a SNL skit character. Today they have one long @ss staggered line from the door feeding 2 registers, instead of 2 short lines feeding into 2. Go figure People walk in and have no idea why people are standing around or what register to go to, so your first experience is confusion and anxiety. If you come here bring a book or Netflix, because service is slower than a snail going uphill. Nobody has a sense of urgency about doing anything other than every customer who comes in. This place shouldn't be called fast food. It should be called last food. They suck. Mr. Popeyes please do something. read more

Because of some of the staff. Twice, I've waited for an order (a simple 5-piece wings) that took about 30 minutes each time (the second of which was because the cashier admitted that she never sent my order through). The third and last time I went here wasn't as time consuming, but made me swear off this Popeye's location: I received my order, but when I asked for some extra packets of honey and a right-sized cup for my order (it was a platter, and I was initially given a medium cup like a combo when it's supposed to come with a large cup), the cashier (a female) rudely and without provocation threw them at my chest. I recommend that some more professional staff members be hired who take pride in their work. read more

This is the third time I've gone to the store since it's opened. First time they didn't have my mobile order but they certainly charged my card second time go to the pick up window ring the bell and stood for 10 minutes being ignored while they take inline customers. Once again tonight get there go to the pick up window ring the bell and wait another 10 minutes while customers pulled up walked in placed orders in the store got their food and left. Finally someone comes over with an attitude gives me my order and when I ask why they have people walking around the store who can't help a pick up window and all they have to do is hand you a bag yet you're letting us stand outside in the freezing cold taking orders from people who didn't pre-order. Her response was to tell me tough shit and slam the window in my face. I stop going to the two locations by me because they're constantly slow constantly rude and never have your order ready but after the experiences I've had at this new store on my way home from work I am completely done with Popeyes you will never get my business again because your employees behavior is completely unacceptable and anytime I have provided feedback all you do is throw a complementary credit and you don't take care of any issues in the store. Maybe hire people that have a work ethic I know how to work with customers and not throw throw their 20s something attitude around the store. If you can't hire competent staff Then don't open a business or maybe stop hiring young kids with absolutely no work ethic who think they can talk to customers at any which damn way they want read more
