The stars are for visiting as long as we wanted and the creative sandwiches. The restaurant was mostly empty. There wasn't an excuse for not wiping all the tables clean (or having Lysol wipes nearby if customers are supposed to bus their own table). I couldn't hear the cashier through her mask. Even leaning in and straining to hear, I wasn't sure what my two options were. I heard "apple" so I took it. I ordered a Mediterranean sandwich. It was beautiful. It was advertised "with" a pickle, which translated to little pickle slices & not an actual whole pickle. The apple was not sliced. I asked the employee to slice it. They are slicing sandwiches and other toppings, what's the difference? The employee handed me a butter knife. I don't have a cooking show, but cutting apples with a dull knife is messy, especially in a restaurant minus the cutting board . So I didn't eat the apple. When I looked at it later, it was bruised and not pretty underneath. If you are handing out apples at a restaurant, be more discerning. The tomato soup was good. The croutons were overkill, but looked nice. The sandwich was huge. The half a sandwich choice with another entree item is really an entire sandwich. I ordered a full sandwich and it was enough for two. There are decent food choices. The portions are large. The to go boxes are cardboard.

12 dollars for this? Same sandwich is twice as big from Jettie's

Disgusting, horrible topping, looks nothing like photo, other paneras in other states are great. Horrible staff here and the local Franchise owner (owns multiple locations) simply doesnt care.

I have visited this establishment over the years. Most of the time, the experience is good, but occasionally, the wait is a little long to grab lunch. When possible, I would recommend ordering ahead. On this occasion, I stopped in for breakfast. No problem ordering. No problem receiving my food. Enjoyed my breakfast and did some reading before heading into work.

    hair in mac and cheese

didn't take a pic but sandwich was falling apart but i shrugged it off, then i grab my mac and cheese and see this. this is nasty and corporate needs to do something about this location

Added some cinnamon and it hit the spot. This is my go to coffee spot.

I love their customer service. And they are very clean. Love my coffee. They are always smiling and it makes my day.

I was in and out in roughly 5 minutes. I ordered a toasted bagel and a beverage. The selection were great and the service was top notch.

This place really surprised me. After living in China for 5 years there are certain goods that I…read moremiss. Good noodles is one of them. I had high hopes since the menu includes intestines and other items that clearly are not meant for white customers. I am very happy to have a very tasty Chinese restaurant close to me. Dry pork noodles: These were the best IMO. Nice and spicy, with great flavors all around. I suggest getting the pork chop (add on) since there is not a lot of meat that comes with the dish normally. Beef noodle soup: Tasted very authentic and had a great broth. Thin slices of beef reminded me of real Chinese noodle soups. Spicy dry chicken noodles; Very similar to the pork noodles. What I really enjoy is that these are actually spicy dishes! I never had to add chili sauce!! Pork and chive dumplings: These were solid. The sesame dipping sauce is fine, but a mixture of Chinese vinegar (you rarely find this!) and chili sauce are good compliments. Cucumbers: These were more garlic-y then what I had in China, but are still good. Adding a little Chinese vinegar to them really takes them up a notch.

Came here for lunch with a friend on a weekend. We ate family style and ordered the scallion…read morepancakes, the spicy sesame paste tofu, the spicy oil wonton pork, the chive and pork dumplings and the sesame balls (filled with red bean paste). Total (not including tip) came out to approximately $49. What's Hot - Menu. Excellent. It's also written in Chinese in addition to English. For those of us familiar with traditional ethnic Chinese food, a menu written in Chinese is a good sign. They have traditional Taiwanese and Chinese food like scallion pancakes, sesame balls, beef noodle soup, soup dumplings, etc... Very good variety and there appears to be something for everyone, possibly with the exception of vegan dishes.. - Quality. Pretty good. Their scallion pancake was soft, not too oily, and not too salty. I prefer the scallion pancake to have been a bit more thick and flaky, but that's my personal preference. To be fair, still delicious. Their chive and pork dumplings definitely had a delicious chive flavor. Substantial and the wrapper was not too thick. Their spicy sesame paste tofu had a good flavor and substantive. The chili oil wontons were not too spicy and had a good flavor. Again, my personal preference would have been for the dumplings to have been more substantive, but still pretty decent. - Service. Pretty good. It appears most, if not all their staffers, speak Chinese (Mandarin), which was also helpful, because I specifically ordered in Chinese. I asked them about the spice level, because I wanted to ensure it would not be too spicy for my friend. - Price. Pretty good value for menu and portions. - Location. It's pretty easy to find. Also within convenient walking distance to the Silver Spring metro. The inside space is pretty good. Tables can seat a minimum of 2, all the way up to 8. What's Not - Quality. The sesame balls are smaller than I expected. They're the rough approximation of a ping pong ball, maybe smaller. I was disappointed, because I like sesame balls that are substantial. - Service. I specifically asked for soup spoons, because we were eating dumplings. Instead, they gave me regular spoons. Not all the dishes come out in the order you hope. For example, main dishes may come out before the appetizers. This is going to be dependent on your personal preference. - Parking. There is parking near the restaurant, but it's going to be dependent on the day and time. Final Answer Worth coming back.

The avocado toast topped with a perfectly poached egg topped with Japanese black sesame seeds is my go-to order, and the sandwiches are consistently good. Their cocktails are excellent, and the bar side makes a great venue for private parties or larger gatherings. I am apparently in the miniscule minority, but I find the drip coffee a bit too dark and somehow slightly burnt for my taste. Fortunately, they make an outstanding Dirty London Fog and a wonderful London Fog Chai Latte, either of which I'd happily order instead. All manner of alternative "milks" are available as are a pretty decent selection of local beers in their cooler if you are grabbing take out. Be prepared for a wait on weekends--this is one of Takoma Park's most popular brunch destinations. Like many cafés these days, it's a favorite of laptop-wielding remote workers, so tables can be at a premium. In my experience, though, solo diners are often gracious about moving to the communal table when they notice [or more likely are asked polietly if they wouldn't mind moving] a larger group waiting. It's just one more example of the friendly neighborhood atmosphere that keeps people coming back.

They were serving brunch so we decided to go in and order. I like the local merchandise and variety of beers they serve here. I ordered the TKMA breakfast sandwich and a cold brew. They were supposed to bring the food to the table but forgot my coffee. I had to go back up and get it. The sandwich was okay. The bread was hard and not easy to eat. The coffee was good. I finished my meal and then headed on my way. It was a good place to try out but don't think I would come back again.
