Went through drive thru a little after 11am on 4/29. Off Lavista. Ordered 3 piece combo dark meat spicy. Got off the exit and noticed the chicken looked & tasted old. Wasn't even hot. Y'all just opened so why is my chicken & fries warm? Went inside & asked the manager very nicely if I could get hot chicken. I even said I don't mind waiting on fresh chicken. The lady behind counter asked what I had and I said 3pc dark meat spicy. She proceeded to fix my box and asked me if I had a biscuit. I said yes but don't worry about giving me another because I already ate it. Why I didn't check my box before leaving? Maybe I trusted it to be right & hot this time. Well it wasn't. Soon as I got in the car I saw old chicken ,tasted it & it was lukewarm. She gave me a wing (wing wasn't even a full wing) leg & thigh. I specifically asked for dark meat. I was extremely nice the whole time I was there. Answering with yes ma'am, no ma'am, yes sir and no sir. So I don't understand why I got minimum service especially if I didn't go in there upset or had an attitude. The male manager was very helpful but I did notice a slight attitude from the lady while my food was being prepared. That's ok. Just give me different than what I already brought back. This place should be avoided. The only thing I'll blame on the employees is their "I don't care attitudes" and lack of urgency. Zero customer service, but I lay that on the MOD, Tara. After spending $17.80 on my order, I requested a dipping sauce for my very small, overcooked pieces of chicken. I was told that sauce was for strips and nuggets only and the price was 25 cents. I didn't have cash on me, so I passed on the sauce. The next guest in line, a DeKalb County Fire Fighter, had the same experience. He had to put four sauces on his debit card. "Hey, thanks for keeping us safe, Sir!" Everything else you have read here is absolutely true, so it doesn't need to be repeated. All of the bad things about this place fall squarely on the shoulders of the Owner. Do better. Take pride in your business. Pay a wage that attracts better managers. When I was finally noticed and spoken to, the employee was rude and obviously annoyed that I was there. Please, please, please, please get a competent general manager for this location! When you go into a place to eat, if it's busy then you expect that it may be a little dirty. But when it's empty, you would expect it to be clean. Place was empty and filthy. The men's restroom was horrible, even though there were plenty of men that worked in there. The drink station was dirty. All the medium lids, I ordered a medium drink, were either bent up, or had dirty markings on them. Something happened to the drive-thru because everyone in line was told that they had to come inside to place their order. They ran out of coleslaw and other menu items. When I 1started working in the Tucker area this location was great. However, in the last 3 month's has become horrible. The black manager on the morning shift does not dress appropriately. She has a NASTY ATTITUDE EVERYDAY. For the last week I have been trying to get Ghost Wings and the lobby has been closed. The drive-thru has lots of cars; so I walked around the dive thru window; they are serving one guest at a time. So with my experience, i waited in drive-thru for 15mins for them to take my order after walking back to my vehicle. The cars before me I could tell had the same experience. I am trying to reach the ownership of this location. Ownership needs to be more hands on at this location and that manager has to GO~!!!!!! Today, i ordered online b/c that manager stated it would be faster. The online stated open at 10am. When I got there at 11am only 20 pieces (per my eyes) of chicken were ready; they had no coleslaw; red beans and rice were not even thawed! All the food trays you see behind the counter in the warming section were EMPTY!!!!!! No Joke No Lies here. If anyone else reads this and gets ahold of management please tell them to reach out to me... During the 1st shift in the morning all these persons need to be replaced immediately; they are horrible. Where is the staff that was there with the Gay Black Gentlemen... (forgive me.. I never got his name but he was GREAT! Staff was also! There is a reason why this location only has two stars. The employees are the worst when it comes to timely orders and food stock. For the 25 minutes, yes 25 minutes waiting for 4 nuggets and Mac n cheese, they messed up 4 orders, ran out of coke, mash potatoes, French fries red beans and rice...... but the kicker is they actually ran out of flour... I heard the cook tell the manager. Why did I wait? Because the lady kept telling me 3 minutes. When she asked " how long on the nuggets?, the cook replied " what nuggets?". So I waited another "3 minutes." because now I actually wanted to test how long it will take. The lady who ordered after me came up four times to check on her order and asked if she could atleast get her drinks. So, finally the nuggets are up and my order was given to me after another 6 or 7 minutes. She was supposed to give me extra nuggets for my wait. Below is what I received. Cut in half nuggets and I don't know what is going on with that Mac n cheese. It's disgusting! Needless to say, I paid 7.00 for cut in half nuggets ( the Mac was extra). The original kids meal order was 4.49. Even though they have an A for cleanliness, they deserve an F for customer service and unprofessionalism. It wasn't at all crowded (4 or 5 people eating their individual meals & not many cars in the drive-thru), but I still had to wait almost 30 minutes for my order of spicy chicken because they didn't have any made...on a Saturday afternoon around 3PM? They didn't have ANY napkins for their dispensers-- ummm...folks eating fried chicken are going to NEED napkins! They simply didn't have any napkins. Nor did they apparently have any paper to print out receipts in any of their cash registers. Poor management, poor service, poor maintenance of their establishment. It's unfortunate. I have visited this store on numerous occasions, my mother and I drive 30 minutes to visit this location because we like their service better. As of the past 6 months or so this particular location has done a major turn around from the customer service to the food. I have had several encounters with different employees who have been lacking in providing good customer service. As of today, 5/24/2019, at 7:30 PM I drive up to the drive thru speaker to ask a question about the current special going on which includes chicken tenders. I had a nice attitude and simply asked the young lady name Daja if this sale is pertaining to chicken tenders only or am I able to get chicken. Daja responded with an extremely nasty attitude and told me "they're chicken tenders and it comes with a biscuit". With assuming she may have not heard me inquiring if I am able to get chicken instead I asked her again very nicely. Daja proceeded to respond with an even nastier attitude at this point screaming at me thru her headset to say "I said it comes with chicken tenders and a biscuit" I was mortified at how she responded considering how I simply inquired as I feel she should have the knowledge of what can be substituted since she is a Popeyes employee and is working the drive thru to take orders. As I drove around to the window her manager came to the window to defend his worker and began to tell me that I was incorrect and took it wrong how Daja raised her voice at me and that she could not hear me. I tried to explain to him that she could hear my inquiry and understood very well by her response. He continued to defend Daja and proceeded to tell me I took it the wrong way, excusing her rudeness and lack of customer service. I explained to him that this occurrence was very unnecessary and how I have just lost my loved one who is dear to me and that we take a very long trip just to come to this particular store because we liked the service and that we cannot and will not return as long as his workers are treating customers this way and him allowing it. The manager didn't seem to have any interest in what I was saying nor concern. He continued to look as if he did not care while along side Daja is standing there with no concern or care as well. I am very disappointed in BOTH the manager of the store and the worker Daja's behavior and attitude on today's visit. Showed up last night around 9:15, lights and sign were on, waited 20-30 minutes in long drive-thru line. Got to speaker, waited almost 10 minutes, no employee. Said "hello" a few times, even tried to call the restaurant from my cell. No answer. Drove to window. Employee opened window and said they were closed. I asked what time they closed (popeyes.com said 12:00am). She told me they closed at 7:30pm. WTF? I told her there were a long line and we'd waited 30 minutes for nothing.
