    I ordered pani puri and discovered that it comes with warm chane. That's how they do it in the south. Interesting experience and first time having warm chane with cold pani puri. Learnt something new. Service is friendly and nice. I sat and ate. It is very comforting to sit and eat here, when there is space.

    What I had:  Shrikhand Cheesecake $6.55 Taste: 4.5/5 This cheesecake was a refreshing dessert with a sweet and tangy kind of taste. I've never tried any cake like this but I really liked it! Vibe: 4/5 A small cafe but really cute and cozy. Service: 4/5 Servers were pretty nice.

    Poppadum started out as a pop-up business by Shreyas Nawkar, a professional Red Seal chef with many years of experience in the Canadian restaurant industry. I heard about their popularity at Smorgasburg and couldn't try their food until now with their fresh store-front just a short walk north of Yonge and Bloor! Food: Focaccia - This was the first focaccia I have ever tried and I recommend trying this! I was hesitant to get one because focaccia to me looks too bready and dry. I was glad I tried because it is moist, has a nice fried crispness at the bottom, and the colourful veggie toppings makes me feel good. Chicken Kebab Roll (halal) - the kebab is wrapped around a Tangzhong bread bun which I thought is such a nice merging of components from different cultures. I personally found the kebab to not be moist but the tandoori aioli helps add that element. OG Vada Pav (set of 2) - the condiments inside are a dry red peanut-garlic chutney, spicy mint chutney, and sweet tamarind chutney. The pav (small load of bread) is house-made, the fried potato patty is soft on the inside and nicely crisp on the outside, the size of each pav is a bonus too. I found this to be on the spicy side - coming from someone who does not eat spicy food often so take that opinion with a grain of salt - I was not able to taste the sweet tamarind chutney as much. Gulab Jamun Tiramisu - I loved this dessert so much, such a special fusion of Indian and Italian sweets. They also offer soft drinks from India such as Thums Up and Limca. Service/atmosphere: Shreyas is so kind and is there to answer any questions you have about his creations. Poppadum is mainly a take-out spot, however there is space to stand and eat before venturing to your next destination.

    A wonderful surprise to find Poppadum through Yelp. Simple cravings of Vada Pav (potato fritter in a bun) drew me to this place and I was bit disappointed. This place had many elements of Maharashtrian (Western Indian state) cuisine. I tried Chettinad Bun and Gulab jamun tiramisu. If not perfect, it was very close to perfection and I would definitely visit multiple times when I'm in Toronto again.

    Amazing food - authentic flavors but unique in taste. Both the snacks and the drinks were awesome. Definitely going back for more.

The flavour was most definitely there, don't get me wrong but it was extremely hard to eat more than a bowl. The redeeming qualities were in the flavour and cute little mushroom garden concept. If they had maybe 2x the amount of rice for the ratio of toppings and crunch, I would say this is a delicious and near perfect fried rice. Not bad, but a hefty price tag for a meal that I had really high hopes for.
