Called to place a large order with them not closing for 20 minutes and they told me that the grill was off. Lost out on a $75 order this time and any future orders since they're not interested in the business I don't do business with those types of places I suggest you also don't bother with people that don't bother. read more

Just to be fair I gave it a long and hard thought if these were the worst bagels I ever had and then I couldn't decide, because, they didn't have the looks, taste, texture, and feel of a bagel. I suspect if I attempted to make bagels at home, odds are they would turn much better than these. The place is filthy, they don't take your order properly, and you name it. Ordered an everything bagel, toasted with little cream cheese and I've got a lump of dough, that is not toasted, soaking in an abundant amount of bad tasting cream cheese-like substance. A nice effort with all the fake reviews. In summary, Pop's Bagel is very simialr to Pop's chicken next door. Don't know why I didn't learn my lesson after trying the chicken. Avoid!!! read more

Stay away! Totally screwed up my husbands order on fathers day. We ordered for take out and wow they were missing the meat side we ordered with his breakfast. The eggs were made wrong and everything seemed stale. He took a few bites of his overpriced breakfast and dumped it. I couldn't blame him, I tried some and meh It was just thrown together and not even remotely hot. Far too expensive for such mediocre food and neglect. For those prices you better work a little harder. If that's what you wanna serve you better slash those prices by a 3rd at the very least. read more

Breakfasts are good, and the portions are large. But the bagels are just missing something. Somebody told me that they do not boil their bagels and to me, that is not a bagel, it is a hard roll! And I have been there about 3 times to give it a chance, and noticed that the prices had risen since the last time I was there. Small hole in the wall shop that does big bold flavors right! Perfect chew with the proper crisp on the crust. Great stick to the seasonings and the proper variety. They grill an onion right, fry the egg proper. The old curmudgeon that runs the place is actually a wonderful man who works hard to keep his shop going and keep the lights on for everyone involved. When I told someone I was going to New Jersey, they told me I had to get a bagel. Fortunately, Pop's was the first one I tried and it imprinted on me what a bagel should truly be. A tiny tiny place with a huge menu. We only tried the bagels but the menu had tons of options that went beyond a standard bagel place. The service and food were fast. The bagels fluffy and satisfying and egg sandwiches are made with fried eggs (a dying art). The only negative was that a plain toasted bagel was served beyond burnt. Someone should have caught that. There are tables inside and out so you can enjoy your food on site. The place looks like it's been around forever and nothing has ever changed. Great hole in the wall spot for any of the items on their menu. Besides serving great tasting food, the people behind the counter are extremely chill, yet professional at the same time. They are opened at 6am and close early (around 2:30pm I believe). My favorite is their breakfast platter which includes 2 eggs (any style) with a choice of meat (ham, sausage or bacon), hashbrowns (or fries) and toast. It really fills you up pretty well in the morning and the price is great. There are about 4 tables in the establishment, but they are small. A TV is always on with CNN or another news channel running in case you want to catch up on your current events while waiting for your breakfast. Aside from the longish wait time around 7:30am (that's when everyone and their mothers come in for breakfast)....during cold winters, it is extremely humid inside. My glasses immediately fogs up when I walk through those doors. That's because the size of the kitchen is larger than the size of their waiting/dining area. The staff members in there have been there for a long time. Most likely a family business and they provide great service with a smile. Even at 7am when most of us are still half asleep and grumpy. This is definitely a 5 star joint in my books! Give them a shot! read more

Sautéed peppers and onions with potato chunks.....super delicious!!! Last: Coffee. I know, you're probably thinking "coffee, wth is he talking about coffee?!!". Well, because it's good and very hot. I'm on the road a lot, and I've had good and terrible coffee. This is very good coffee. Not too strong or weak. Just right. The last sandwich I got from you guys on January 11 was mostly bread hardly any meat and the bread tasted old. Very disappointed I usually like you guys. The service is very good and friendly. The only bagel that We have ever had that was entirely covered with everything seasonings. Delicious! Egg was cooked perfect, sausage tastes homemade. The fries were I believe to be prepped and cooked there to perfection. Cookies are yum. But the star of the meal was definitely the bagel. Service is nice, friendly, and quick. Food is affordable.
