Very friendly service and explained how they operate to a first timer which was helpful. They did forget my coffee order though. I do wish you could buy one bagel with a serving of cream cheese instead of 3 or more. Cute vibe with energetic music.

Was surprised & happy to see this LA staple come to Plaza Midwood - what a great addition! Workers are all very friendly, even gave us an extra bagel in our 3-pack, which was a very nice gesture. Their bagels and butters are both delicious. Salt is my favorite and one of their more popular flavors; I also like the poppy. Keep in mind they're often out of 1 flavor/you'll need to wait ~15 min. for a new batch if you really want that specific flavor. We tried the seasonal tangerine dream butter which was good, but their regular salted butter is super yummy as well. Their outdoor tables have small fans which was a nice and thoughtful touch in this crazy summer heat.

I've been wanting to try this chain for some time now and this is the first location I've seen where the line isn't super long so I stopped in on a Saturday morning. The store itself is cute, and the service was speedy. The problem is it's very overpriced and you can't just order 1 bagel with a spread. You have to order 3 bagels minimum, and if you want cream cheese or butter you have to purchase a whole tub. 3 bagels + 1 schmear = $14, 1 schmear or butter tub = $7. The menu just isn't geared towards individuals so come with a group! The bagels were good, nice and fluffy but they only had 4 types (plain, everything, poppy, salt) and they were actually quite small in size. I know I have high bagel standards but this just didn't live up to the hype for me :/

The bagels were very fresh and tasted great! The smears were even better than u expected. Not a lot of seating inside so be prepared to take it to go. The service is very fast but be prepared for how expensive it is.

Look, I know it's a chain but had to check them out to see what the hype was about. Got 6 bagels- 4 everything and 2 plain with scallion cream cheese. They come out hot with a crispy golden exterior and warm and fluffy inside. The texture holds for all of the dipping. Yum!

Checked out the new PopUp Bagels in Plaza Midwood area on opening day and man was that a great decision. The ambiance was awesome- DJ playing, free beverages (OJ, tea, coffees), free swag, and all the staff were amazing. Great location too. But dang these bagels were delicious. Best bagels I've had in Charlotte by far. We got three bagels and one rosemary garlic butter which was absolutely delicious. The bagels came out hot and fresh. Our toddler loved it so much she had a whole one to herself and we have so much butter left that we get to take it home with us. 5/5 stars. Highly recommend. We will absolutely be coming back.

The pizza was done exactly on time. The moment I walked in, I watched an employee place the food on the counter. Great timing. The only interaction was the cashier asking if she could help me. I was out of there in seconds, so I can't properly comment on customer service. The pizza itself was very good. Comparable to spots around town. Price point was about equal to the other places as well. Would I recommend? Yes. Would I say it's worth a long drive to go get? Not really. If you're in the Pineville area and want a good slice, go grab one here.

She is AMAZING and super sweet. I came in today and was "greeted" (meaning he didn't say a word the whole interaction) by a bald man with a tattoo by his ear. He did not say "hi" or "how can I help" you or anything. Just started at me. I told him my order and before I could finish speaking (I needed to show him I was also purchasing a drink) he put my order in and walked away before I could even get the rest of my order out of my mouth. He immediately walked to the back. I did not pay because I was waiting to get his attention to let him know he still needed to ring up the drink and that he only rung up the bagel. He finally looked my way from the back and said "you can tap to pay" and then immediately turned around so he was unable to see or hear me raise the drink up and say "you didn't ring up the drink". Luckily the kind woman was in the front and took care of me. I hate giving a negative review because I love the lady with the red hair, but the other man was terrible.

The sandwiches and meats looked good but I go to Poppy's for the bagels. Today I purchased an egg bagel (IYKYK) and a pumpernickel bagel with some scallion cream cheese, and for real, their bagels are the closest thing to actual NYC bagels I have found in Charlotte. Egg bagels are nigh impossible to find, and theirs are why I love egg bagels. Their pumpernickel is chewy and dense in flavor, and I'd be waxing poetic about their Asiago if they'd still had them. (sails out before I got there, alas.) The Poppy's on Providence is long, long overdue a refurb to match the hospitality of the SouthEnd location, because the Providence Road location is a bit of cluster and hard to navigate. It's crowded as heck inside and things are placed a little haphazardly. That said, my gosh, what great food. Maybe next time I'll wait long enough to snap photos before chowing down.

The line was steady, the staff was hustling, and the smell of fresh bagels made the wait totally worth it. There had to be 15+ people hustling behind the counter (probably even more in the back), and despite constant flow of people coming in and what looked like nonstop online/call in orders, they had the operation running like a well-oiled machine. I ordered almost immediately, it just took a little while for the food to come out, which honestly was understandable considering how busy they were. The menu is huge with tons of bagel and cream cheese options, plus plenty of specialty sandwiches if you don't feel like building your own. I grabbed the Italiano special, a cheesesteak with the works, and two Asiago bagels for the next day (they're closed Sundays, so plan ahead!). The Asiago bagels were excellent, even the next morning they held up to perfection. The cheesesteak had great flavor with peppers and onions, though I would've loved a little more meat and a little less bread. The Italiano was also really tasty, but my order wasn't quite right. I asked for no roasted tomatoes or olives and to add onions, but it came with the tomatoes and no onions. Honestly the no olives was the most important part so not the end of the world. I fixed it at home with some onions and fresh banana peppers from the garden... again not a big deal, but worth mentioning. I'm sure if I was eating at the location they would've fixed it immediately. For around $30, I got two sandwiches, two bagels, and the sandwiches even came with chips, which was a nice surprise. Easy parking, easy to find, lots of seating (but inside and out -- a few picnic tables on the patio) and while the inside isn't anything fancy, that's not why you're here. You're here for solid bagels, great sandwiches, and a local spot that's clearly doing something right. I'd definitely come back, especially to try one of their breakfast sandwiches next time.
