Bagel with smoked salmon, yes please. They had sent me a card in the mail when they opened several months ago and I sat on it because I'm not eating bagels when I'm home. The keto diet is no carbs and bagels are 100% carbs. Delicious, delicious carbs. This location is in Ayrsley and I wish them success. It's a tough spot and several other businesses have been here including a copy shop and a biscuit place. But judging by this morning's 11am queue, they should be doing okay. It was super easy to order at the counter and I could see their "lox in a box" in the cooler. These are FRESH bagels. They don't toast because they don't need toasting. Sliced already, just shmear and bite. The "lox in a box" is all the proper pieces with a generous portion of smoked salmon, cucumber, red onion, tomato and even the capers. Two small pots of cream cheese as well. I turned to go back to the counter for a knife for spreading, but no, they'd already tucked a wood knife into the bag. Perfect! We opted to take it with us and picnic. (At the CLT Overlook, if you must know.). Easy to put it together and serve. Way better than dining in, we got to watch planes while she ate a bagel and I ate some cucumber, cream cheese and salmon. Delicious. I heard about Jeff's Bagel Run a while back however neither location is near me. But, lucky for me I was in the Steele Creek area yesterday and was so excited to see the sign, knowing I had to stop by before leaving the area. I dropped in shortly after 1:00 and after looking at the me menu decided to grab a few bagels and some cream cheese to go. The staff was so nice and after after for their cream cheese recommendation I went with the Chive and Vegetable. All I can say it amazing bagels, just the right crunch on the outside yet soft and fluffy on the inside. As for the cream cheese I haven't had the vegetable yet, but I can say the chive is one of the best chive cream cheeses I've ever had! Between the staff, cleanliness and amazing food this will be one of my go to bagel spots going forward! read more

We came here as we're new to the area and wanted to try the bagel. The service was great. The person who waited on us explained they don't slice or toast the bagels. Which was new to us. So we ordered a flight of cream cheese and butter. We had cinnamon raisin, blueberry, Asiago and cinnamon sugar. It was a different experience for sure compared to other bagels spots we've tried but we will be definitely be back to try coffee options as well. Nothing much to the ambiance. This place was phenomenal! I visited with my brother while I was in town for a few days and while we were there we picked up some bagels! They had such a great variety of bagels and spreads to choose from- and the workers were very nice too! We really enjoyed the bagels we got (not pictured: jalapeño cheddar bagel with plain cream cheese and an iced caramel latte.) these bagels were massive and I ended up finishing it for breakfast the next day. The best thing about them was that the cream cheese came separately so you could decide how much you wanted to spread and how much of the bagel you wanted to leave empty (which worked out for reheating it later). Overall it was a 10/10 experience and if I was back in town, I would revisit it for sure! read more

Bagel lovers rejoice! The opening of the second Jeff's Bagel Run in Charlotte makes this UCF grad so so happy! The store opened this week and I was so lucky to get a chance to visit. The location is perfect for heading into Uptown or LoSo Charlotte for work! The prices are very reasonable for the bagels, spreads, and coffee drinks. I ordered the bagel of the day - white pizza bagel and a rosemary sea salt bagel with a flight of spreads. The seasonal elote spread is top notch and tasted so so good on the white pizza bagel! The banana pudding spread is my go to for the rosemary sea salt bagel to add a sweet and savory sea-salt flavor. The banana bread latte is also a must try if you stop in. The coffee in general is top notch and brewed so smooth and no bitter bite like other coffees. Parking may be a little limited, but doesn't seem to be an issue as this is an in and out type of place rather than a sit and stay awhile. Everyone was super nice and checked on us as the coffees took a little longer to get out than the bagels. Definitely recommend giving this place a try and be open to try something new! On top of that, the bagels and cream cheese each taste great on their own, so I definitely don't just want to highlight the variety, but the taste as well. It's not a large place, but there are 4 or 5 tables to sit at inside which is enough for a small bagel shop. The staff were super helpful in deciding which flavors to combine, and I even got a customized flavored coffee that was really good too. Received a coupon for 6 free bagels in the mail when this location opened up. Since I have their app I stocked the daily menu for a few days and finally decided to go in and cash in our coupon. I got 4 of the salted caramel bagels and 2 garlic bagels. The bagels were still warm and tasted amazing with the 3 cream cheeses we got. We got the Maple Brown Sugar, Banana Pudding and Cookies and Cream.Everything tasted amazing and reheated well the next day. This location is small but they have a mighty staff. I have been wanting to try this place for a while after seeing the great selection of flavors they offer, so I was very excited when I saw they were opening a location closer to me. Unfortunately, I was a bit let down by my experience here. First off, let me say that the service was great, and they seem to be well-staffed. We came a bit later, so I'm not sure how busy they get in the mornings, but they seemed to be prepared to handle a decent crowd. I'm sure parking would be a headache during a rush, though. It's squeezed into a tight spot. Everything was bright and seemed clean. And all of the staff we encountered were nice. As for the bagels, though, I was disappointed. I decided on the jalapeño cheddar bagel as that is usually a solid option, but it had no flavor. And was served cold, which I found odd. They also do not apply cream cheese, so you just get a plain bagel and a cup of cream cheese (for another $2). We had to ask for something to spread it with and were given wooden knives. I can appreciate the choice to avoid excess plastic but think it would serve everyone better to take the extra steps to apply the cream cheese to avoid the need for customer utensils altogether, unless requested to go. That would seem to alleviate the extra use of the containers of cream cheese and lids as well. It would be nice if they would put some toasters by the coffee bar if they're going to serve the bagels cold. I really just did not enjoy eating a cold bagel, and I think that ruined it the most for me. Especially when my bagel had no flavor at all. Lowe's Foods has much better jalapeño cheddar bagels, but unfortunately, they're not in this area, so the search continues. I will say, my husband got a cinnamon sugar bagel with cake batter cream cheese (I believe that was the combo), and it was really good. Still cold but a little more fitting for those flavors. The cream cheese was like Dunkaroos icing for my fellow 90s kids. So if you're in the mood for something sweet, that's a good option. Just a little much for breakfast for me. We ended up spending $29 for 2 bagels with cream cheese, half a dozen to go (which I'm hoping will be better toasted but not sure how well they'll keep since they're just in a paper bag), a canned drink, and tip. I feel that's rather steep for bagels. Especially if they're not making sandwiches or even spreading cream cheese on them. I feel like this isn't a place you can just pop in to get something to eat. You'll have to get some to take home to toast later. Hoping the other flavors we took to go will be better. Wish I would've tried mine before buying more to go, but it's usually a solid bet. Oh well. Live and learn. If the others are better, I'll come back to add that because I really hate to leave a negative review for a new business. Maybe I'm in the minority about liking my bagels warm. Wowowow! Charlotte finally has more than one delicious bagel location! Jeff's Bagel Run blew me away with their large bagel and spread selection. I ultimately chose their blueberry bagel and their cinnamon raisin bagel. Both had that perfect slight crisp exterior and super chewy interior. Their bagels taste like quality bagels, not like the ones you get at the grocery store or like the ones they sell at delis that also sell a million other things. And my oh my, their spreads! The veggie was very fresh and filled with many veggies. And the strawberry was downright addicting. You've been warned. And yes, Jeff's Bagel Run also has really quality affordable coffee. You know the coffee is good when they're selling bags of it. One thing to note is that they don't toast bagels. However, the staff here are so nice that they'll offer to heat your bagel up in their ovens. My advice is to buy half a dozen (or a dozen), go home, and toast them there. Long story short, I had such issues with DoorDash trying to order today from jeff's bagel run, including a driver taking the order and leaving and several processing errors. The staff was so helpful and remade the order for me, and ensure that I got it, including extra bagels. They went above and beyond in their customer service and I am so appreciative. Horrible experience here. My wife and I ordered two everything bagels. They had lox, tomatoes and capers already pre packaged in their counter area so we grabbed two of those as well. Somehow this came out to $40 so this prices here are outrageously unaffordable. We could've had a sit down breakfast with eggs Benedict and it wouldn't have been $40. Regardless, we opened the packages with the lox and the tomatoes, onions and cucumbers had frozen into a solid block of ice and were unusable. To make matters even worse, the lox had become freezer burned and tasted completely bitter and sour. So the entire $40 meal was basically inedible and a huge waste of time and money. Expectations can change one's experience-- so I try not to have any going into a restaurant, but... I had heard great things about Jeff's Bagel Run from friends in Charleston, so I drove two hours (round trip) to try it. I got 12 bagels, no cream cheese or drinks and with tip (for counter service-- normally I would tip 10% for that but that wasn't an option-- tipping began at 15% and went up) the cost was $24. That's pretty steep, but if they're as good as my friends say, they'd be worth it! I'll interject here that I've been a professional chef for 30 years-- The bake was really good! Crispy(ish) on the outside and pillowy soft crumb. What made these average bagels is the lack of flavorful ingredients-- I bought 4 cheddar jalapeño-- there were no jalapeños in any of them and they cheddar was bland (mild), not at all sharp. The salt bagel had almost no salt on it. The rosemary salt bagel had two small leaves of dried (not fresh) rosemary and no discernible salt. The Cacio e Pepe just tasted like Romano cheese, no pepper. If I lived 5 minutes from here, I would go back! But it's unfortunately not worth a long drive. read more

I'm certainly mixed. Dining in isn't ideal. I didn't know this about the place when I went. My daughter and I saw some influencer videos on TikTok and decided to check it out. Since visiting, I have gone to their webpage and read the "about us" and I see now that their concept is really grab and go. They say they are given to you warm but they are room temp. They don't toast them. Like, it's not an option. The spreads you have to put on yourself. The bagels and spreads themselves are good. Truly. The establishment itself is clean and cute, but the food is given to you for to-go orders and that's it. I would have loved an option for a breakfast sandwich but they don't do that. The staff was friendly. The drinks we got were good. Chai tea and cinnamon vanilla latte. I want to give this place another try but it's most likely going to be just to grab bagels to bring home. read more

This place is completely inadequate. The owners need more licensing so they can have a complete store. Right now there are no sandwiches, they won't toast your bagel, they won't put spread on it. Grab and go to eat on the way, not happening. Trying to get an egg or other protein with your carbs tough luck. This is the reason why Dunkin dominates this place. What a waste.
